Global cryptocurrency owners increased by 34% in 2023, rising from 432 million in January to 580 million in DecemberThis growth rate is so shocking :o but we also saw the same hype back in 2021 too. And this all adoption is only due to the bull run. No matter what the report is saying, people always follow ways that can make them real money. Reports say BTC got more adoption due to ETFs and Ordinals, while ETH was due to staking upgrades and these reasons are authentic ones.

And that's normal for all of us, we need money, and if the smart ones are getting one chance of making then what's bad in using it? That's the only reason coming to my mind that has attracted people to invest in the crypto sphere. This event has attracted companies like BlackRock and Grayscale etc. to apply for BTC ETF and now they are applying for ETH ETF.
It is not the number, but more about the % that interests me. Are we really sure that we rose by %34 in a single year? I mean I am not sure how these type of things are calculated <...>
Although I am not convinced that the numbers are accurate, 580 million is a good number given the relatively short lifespan of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
Statistics about the owners of cryptocurrencies in the world are usually not accurate
This growth rate is so shocking <...>
I am assuming these numbers will triple in the upcoming 2 years maybe more than that <...>
This is a good number <...>

HAHAHAHA, so according to you, in just two years, 21% of the world's total population, or more than a third of the world's adult population, will be holding cryptocurrencies.I did not realize I just said 1.6+ billion people will adopt BTC and other crypto platforms. :D :D Silly me. I think I got over excited or became an idiot, but hey who knows, do you know? Not being rude just asking! We never know the future, maybe more than 2 billion people will adopt crypto or BTC. There is still a chance. In today world, YouTube, Facebook other many apps are being used by more than 2 billion people and these apps achieved this number in the time span of 4 to 8 years.
Statistics about the owners of cryptocurrencies in the world are usually not accurate because most people who work in crypto prefer to hide their identity and maintain their privacy, given that crypto is banned in most countries of the world. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain accurate numbers. Personally, I expect the real number to be greater than that.
Certainly, I have no doubt that there is an increase in the number of people using cryptocurrencies now compared to previous years. This is exactly what I meant when I said that the report is inaccurate because most of these people prefer to maintain their privacy, so it is certain that the numbers are much larger.Statistics about the owners of cryptocurrencies in the world are usually not accurate because most people who work in crypto prefer to hide their identity and maintain their privacy, given that crypto is banned in most countries of the world. Despite maybe the questionable source of this estimate, what is sure is that there is that increase of people who are now into cryptocurrency compared to years ago. More and more people are now seeing how this industry can help them in their quest for financial freedom and there are those who look at Bitcoin and other digital assets as one of the best vehicles for trading. For ordinary guys like me, it is HODLING that can be more attractive but we should just vet it well and not be dissuade to go for questionable coins or tokens that can crash in price anytime. Part of the increase can be attributed to some countries who experienced run-away inflation lately and people there wanna protect their assets with the use of crypto acting like a safe haven with a good potential for growth. I would assume that in 2024, there will be further growth as this is going to be a very exciting year for cryptocurrency most especially Bitcoin and Ethereum.
580 million people own a piece of coin okay seems like we have a lot of adoption. We are 8.1 Billion.
How many own a stock?
I am thinking that it is under 2 billion people have stock
We are 8.1 Billion.I think you're right the number of stock holders might be higher than crypto holders but still it's a great news for us that almost 580 million people are aware about crypto-currencies. Only within 15 years the crypto-community has grown so huge what if most online sites implement crypto payments instead of PayPal then we will see huge surge in amount of crypto users. I hope that day will come when most of the websites and businesses will impalement crypto payments.
That 580 million is worldwide.
I was looking at internet about stock and found about 158 million Americans own stock which is 61% of U.S. adults. That's only in America. The number for worldwide will be larger than 580 million.

But I think 580 million is wrong here is why.
https://coinmarketcap.com says all of crypto is worth 1.65 trillion
so if 580 million use it some simple math shows
1650 million/580 million = $2.84 usd worth of coins per person.
I do not believe those numbers.
