unfortunately the cult of personality is strong.
he is pushing some technology forward, which is a good thing.
but he wants to be involved in everything. And often real transparency is lacking, especially for someone of his status.

I had admired Elon in the past and obviously wished to be like him. He is among the smartest humans, proactive and a strategic thinker. I can also call him a manipulator. But at a time I fell out of love with him. That was when he fought our dear bitcoin by accepting in in his Tesla projects and later on embarrassing bitcoin on the premise of power consumption just to disorganize and trouble the cryptocurrency market after making huge profits.

I consider Elon Musk to be a controversial figure all because he is all over the news, in different platforms and he is not shy to make his opinions and ideas known to the world. Instead of deflecting the limelight, he is enjoying it and this fact alone make him more hated by some and loved by many. The man is not perfect...but who among his critics are perfect? Elon Musk is a man of actions and he has had contributed a lot to the society even compared to silent type CEOs around. Surely, we may have our own ideas on how he should be conducting his business but there is no doubt that Elon is making us see that this is his time and he is making full advantage of it. Flawed and controversial, Elon Musk no doubt is one of the men or women that really matter...whether you agree or immensely disagree with him.

one of the most important for sure, but controversy is his middle name  ;D

He didn't invent anything, and he is not so smart like it was being presented to people.
He didn't create paypal, and he didn't create tesla, like most people think, research this better and you will see what happened with previous owners.
Just to mention that he came from rich family and he needs to be involved in everything because his masters told him to do it, just watch his last visits to find them  ;)

for paypal he had a pyment company X that then merged with competitors (peter thiel - fb first investor also palanteer founder (aka another spying entity))
for tesla, he go in as a CEO, and got some huge amount of shares.
However he did found spaceX, and reusable rockets are pretty cool, however i wonder it there's no more efficient ways - i'm too dumb to understand or argue rocket science

but i'll say the guy have great contributions (whether he's a free person or just a puppet)

I'm surprised to know that Elon musk didn't invent anything and including the famous Tesla that is highly associated to him. Well, even if he didn't invent all these, he should just be regarded to be a wise man, if haven't invented anything and yet he is widely known as the inventor. It takes smartness to accomplish the fit.

A man like Elon Musk wants to be the center of attraction every time. He knows what keeps the world bubbling and he is using it to his advantage to be the well-talked-about rich man who existed.

He's purely a businessman and whatever he tends to do or go after is for money and nothing more. I don't think he cares about what people say about him, other than the money. Look at how he has turned X(formerly known as Twitter), to a monthly subscription of one to stayed verified.

I think the language he knows and speak better is money. Any other language apart from that exist far from him

As an investor or businessman and being visionary, that is what I look up on him. And I am thinking what if I am a rich guy that has this businesses and corporations that I've bought and managed to grow it, that will definitely change a lot of things. So being a visionary businessman, he sees a lot of things that he want to do like putting people on Mars and having an underground railway system on a busy city. Although the concepts aren't really new but putting that into reality is going to be hell of a challenge. So with those kind of things on how I look up on him.

Before he entered crypto, I admired him as a businessman , being  rich and innovative person I admired him, but since he entered crypto, I was fed up with his behavior of just tweeting about crypto and playing with prices, even though he was very active in business, I didn't like too much visible price manipulation. from him
and there are still many more opinions I have about him actually

Yeah right, ''space'' is the biggest and most profitable show business in the world  :P
There are zero chances for one man to take charge of so many different unrelated stuff that has to do with payment, social media, traveling, while working with government all the time and pretending to be the opposition.

I see him as the same clown as Donald Trump. Yes, it is a little more sophisticated and younger, of course, which makes it much more adaptable to technology and modern things.
When he was shilling for DOGE, he behaved like a jerk. Later he tried to manipulate Bitcoin, but it didn't go as he thought.

Does anyone remember his posing while taking over Twitter?

Really i know as a professional business man. And world rich man. He is famous entrepreneur and his main identity He is founder of SpaceX and Tesla. Recently Elon Musk bough Twitter now "X". But recently he working on cryptocurrency i saw it. After a few days he telling about crypto currency on his " X" account. And creating Fomo so the price is changing drastically. It is not good for real crypto traders and investors i think.

The weirdest CEO out there. That's how I look him.
I mean who in the hell will enter his office for the first time while holding a sink? Do you think the likes of Warren Buffet, or Jeff Bezos will do the same? Hell no, and that's what makes him weird.

He's a successful businessmen yes, but he's weird, and sometimes, he's using his influence to manipulate something like what he did to DOGE a few years ago. I thought that he will be using Twitter as well to do what he wants to do, but it seems like we aren't seeing it yet... or aren't we? :P

More ''good'' news coming from clown Elon... he planted his first neuralink microchip in human brain  ::)
Now I would suggest everyone to check what happened with poor monkeys he used in his trials before he switched to human experimenting.

We know that Elon Musk is a smart businessman; that's why he used his popularity and influence to encourage the crypto community, even though he doesn't say that people bought the crypto that he will mention and post on Twitter.

And what I also noticed was that Elon saw that if he just posted on Twitter the name of a crypto or meme coin, the majority of the community in the crypto space would buy the coin he mentioned. And he did that first with Dogecoin, then with Shiba Inu. Apparently, before he mentioned the coin name on Twitter, he had already bought a huge amount of it, for sure. So Elon Musk is really a certified manipulator; once he has the target, he will suddenly sell a huge amount, and it will be up to the communities that won't sell. As long as he has already exited.

He has his faults, but he isn't all bad. Many of his projects might not be as successful if he had not been involved.

Disgusting

You don't like Trump? I think people fail to realize that it doesn't matter who sits in that seat labeled President. Everything is controlled by the house and Senate. President is basically a puppet. Democrat or Republican doesn't matter. It's the agenda behind the scenes that matter, that we the general public don't really pay attention to.

Speaking of Musk though, guy has done some good for the world although most would view him as an egotistical prick. If you had his money, would you be any better?

Anybody here from Indonesia?
He's trending in the last few days due to the recent Starlink launch in Indonesia. I don't think people talk much about him though, most of the tweets that I've seen are focused more on how fast Starlink is. Maybe the algorithm is just biased and tailored specifically for me. I read some news that recaps what he talked about at the ceremony. As far as I can see, it just shows his confidence that his product is going to be popular, and the government seems to appreciate him. Probably due to his speech about the possibility of investing in Indonesia for the future.

100% agree with what said dkbit98 at the beginning of this thread. The only good thing I can see could be Starlink, but it does not erase the tons of shit he did aside. I don't see what good Musk did to earth to be honest. I am happy to not be one of his employee, and most of his decisions looks not wise imo.

Corporate media refuse to invite a 3rd candidate to the US presidential debate.

In the name of all supporters of the libertarian Kennedy, thank you Elon.

A smart and business-minded person, who sees everything as a way to make money. If it is not about money, don't get him involved because he wants to stay on top and be among the decision-makers of the business who see and take the glory of the yield profits of the business they are into.
