I just found out Farcaster (https://www.farcaster.xyz/) info:
Farcaster is a fully decentralized social network. It is an open protocol that supports many clients, similar to mailboxes. Users can freely migrate social identities between applications, and developers can freely build applications with new features on the network. On Farcaster, you can send short text message broadcasts that connect to your Ethereum address. Verifying address ownership enables a range of features, including showcasing your NFT, using your NFT as a verified avatar, and more[1].
It seems that this is a SocialFi project with more than 15K users and more than 1M interactions. Unfortunately, I have never used or experienced it so I don't have any comments. Hope we will have more reviews from users in the future.
I think the reason this platform charges fees is to limit bots. A small fee will increase the difficulty for bad actors who want to attack the platform.
“I'm very very curious to see what Farcaster looks like in six months,” Sassano said. “Is it overrun by bots? Is it overrun by spam? What does the content moderation look like? These social platforms live or die based on that[2].”

I think the reason this platform charges fees is to limit bots. A small fee will increase the difficulty for bad actors who want to attack the platform.

So this sussano wants to build a real comonity that makes sense too, he applies all members to pay $5 when creating a farcaster account almost the same as gitcoin score and Galxe passport.

Farcaster and Warpcast are nice, with their focus on decentralization and user control. Their model, though it costs to join, but it really stands out because it offers a more transparent and user-driven social media experience. It’s one of the best promising alternative to traditional platforms. More over their token ($FARCASTER) it's on some exchanges pre-market, like BingX

I have farcaster account, paid $5 for it. It's much Twitter like, and experience is smooth, I like using it. Dunno what else to say, but you can ask if you need something precise.

Farcaster and Warpcast are nice, with their focus on decentralization and user control. That is the advantage of farcaster, farcaster does not yet have a native token, maybe later there will be a native token for the community that uses farcaster or has made transactions on farcaster with the BASE network.

Have you tried Mastadon or Nostr (different decentralized social media, without the need of token/coin)? If yes, how would you compare it with Farcaster?

That's a great point about the upfront cost for Farcaster and Warpcast. It's definitely something to consider. I've been exploring other options like Phaver, but I'm also keeping an eye on Bingx events. They often have interesting activities and giveaways that can be a great way to get involved in the crypto community without spending a lot.

That's a great point about the upfront cost for Farcaster and Warpcast. It's definitely something to consider. I've been exploring other options like Phaver, but I'm also keeping an eye on Bingx events. They often have interesting activities and giveaways that can be a great way to get involved in the crypto community without spending a lot.
The cost is, as it was said a long time ago, probably to get the bot farmers away or to get discouraged by it, and that's fine, in my opinion ;D

Anyway, the Farcaster is like a social media platform just like the phaver but on Farcaster, they establish a lot of events that actually pay their participants but the rewards are not guaranteed to be of valuable. You will get the tokens but no assurance that they will be profitable or not. In order to take part these platforms who organize their event on Farcaster enlist some requirements.
Unfortunately till now, I had not created my account on Farcaster as at that time I thought I was late as people already had made good money from it so I thought now joining it would be a waste of time.

Yep, the possibilities were and are there, but it's not guaranteed (as almost everywhere ;D) and it's a bit late in my opinion, too. Though, it's everybody's choice.

Yes, now the hype of the farcaster is not what it used to be, maybe because the event held by the DEGEN project is no longer what it used to be coupled with the price that continues to experience, now in the farcaster there are many people who make game projects and many sell NFTs.

Yes, now the hype of the farcaster is not what it used to be, maybe because the event held by the DEGEN project is no longer what it used to be coupled with the price that continues to experience, now in the farcaster there are many people who make game projects and many sell NFTs.
An excess of something always kills the hype and damages the project. If the Farcaster team wants their platform to be in demand, they should limit the number of fake projects and NFTs that anyone can list and sell. According to your statement, Farcaster still has good potential, even if the projects listed there are not giving much profit. That's totally normal because, on a new social media platform, people list their tokens when the hype is new and the craze is strong. Investors and users were eager to test new things, so the rewards were authentic.
Now, there's nothing like that. People are just there to scam others, having learned the system and how to deceive others. It's not that easy, though. By the way, I don't know about the DEGEN project was it a big project on Farcaster,? I don't remember any.

I created account there in case there is an airdrop, and I already got $DEGEN airdrop which covered this $5 fees anyway. Besides, it's actually a good platform to use which surprised me too at first time, I'd put it on same league as Twitter in terms of usability, several prominent crypto personalities are there as well.

I can't give a definite statement about native tokens from farcaster because not necessarily those who have farcaster accounts can get native tokens from farcaster this is just a rumor, maybe if you are active by often interacting there you can have a chance to get native tokens from farcaster.

Since this is a social media platform and decentralized, this is good for affiliates and advertisers to promote whatever cryptocurrency you may have there, but of course it should be something entertaining and interesting for your followers, you don't want your followers to unfollow you if you keep spamming the platform.
I'm looking forward to joining the platform and exploring all of its features.
