How to change my profile avatar sir?
Well, this shouldn't be a problem for you, buddy.
Just click on your profile, then click on "Modify Profile."
Select "Forum Profile" and click on "Upload an Avatar," which will direct you to your files.
After selecting the desired image, click the "Change Profile" button at the bottom of the page.

Use the image below as a guide.

How to change my profile avatar sir?
Just follow the instructions of the Tribalchief because he has explained it in detail that how one should change the avatar of his/her profile on this forum.

In simple words just click this link (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?action=profile;area=forumprofile) it will take you to the forum profile page directly where you can change the avatar. I don't no if new users are allowed to change avatar or not but on other forums newbie users can't change the avatar on their profiles if I'm not wrong.

I have noticed that a user in this forum OP has an avatar on his profile, which means that adding avatars for new accounts is allowed. However, I am not sure if he genuinely needs help with changing his avatar or if he just created a topic to start a random discussion. Anyway, sharing this information with other forum members may prove useful.

I haven't noticed that but thanks for sharing the information with us so now users can see that even if they are new in rank they can still change their avatar and apply their own personal avatars.

On Bitcointalk there were times when users were paid for the posts when they applied avatars of the campaigns, I'm sure that in coming days we may see the same features here on this forum.

That way all new users who can make quality posts can get the chance to apply in those campaigns that pay for applying of avatars. I'm sure most of those were mixer campaigns that were paying for applying of avatars.

I don't know if this user really needs to change his/her avatar or not but surely the information will be helpful for everyone.

From the account history I guess it’s safe to say he was actually in need of some help. Because after creating his account he went ahead and created this thread few minutes later – which means he might not have known how to configure his profile thus this thread.

Even as Bitcointalk has so many threads about ranks and stuffs you’ll still see people that will create thread and ask questions about them despite the answer being in front of them…

I’m quite surprised by this your response, I believe I saw you change your avatar before I made my first comment on this thread and yet you are claiming you’ll try a suggestion today. Did you use a different method for your current avatar?

I’m beginning to wonder if I was wrong to have assumed that you made this thread genuinely and if @DabsPoorVersion was right all along about trying to gain activity from this thread.

You are right, man. I think OP actually asked a sincere question because he definitely would have gone straight up to update his avatar if he had known how to do so. From what I have observed so far on altcointalk and bitcointalk, members don't usually start their first topic with a question about how to change their avatar. Perhaps even on Bitcointalk, members are fond of asking questions that have been asked over and over again, and the motive for doing so is just to start a discussion.

Well, I only stated that as I have seen that OP is already wearing an avatar during that time. He may genuinely want to change his avatar but is unable to locate the option to do so. He indeed may require assistance, and I believe this information can also be beneficial for other new forum members, particularly those who may not typically explore all of the forum's features.

I just realized that there is no rank limit for being able to change avatars. Even new accounts seem to still be able to change their avatar too, unlike on the btt forum. It can be seen that Juwel Rana has changed his avatar to the newest one.

It's just that you also need to pay attention to the optimal avatar size so that it looks better. for the avatar I use is 128 x 80 px, and this seems to be the most proportional size.

Actually, simple questions like these can help beginners who are also looking for the same information. I also still remember when I first came to this forum I had thoughts about how to change my avatar or something like that. But I didn't create a topic and just focused on finding out for myself by trying every feature on this forum.

I now also have a beginner question that I created because it needs an answer now. Please visit and answer the questions I asked there. (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=318647.0)

Yes you are correct and but this what the admin and some other moderators were saying that we should avoid committing because such writes are tagged as shitpost because the write is only one line. Though there are some one line threads give good information but at least the op would elaborated the write. If he was looking for the location to change is avatar, he would would have explained how he did at the first time and if he has forgotten he should also indicate that he has forgotten the procedures and that can also make some sense than just says,
Quote
How to change my profile avatar sir?
, from the warning we have gotten this not healthy to comment because if the admin or the Moderators here move this thread to archive then all our good comments here will also follow. So the first person who made the comment here would have told the op to elaborate the write up to 3 lines.

Many people have already replied nicely about how you can add avatar to your profile and explained nicely that you can do it just by following the paths shown by them. If there was a rule in the forum that a user can't add an avatar to his profile until he achieves a certain rank, you would have to accept a certain rank first, but since there is no such rule, you can apply any rank from the forum. A newbie member who has just opened an account can also add an avatar to his profile if he wants to by following the correct rules.

How to change my profile avatar sir?

This is very simple to do, i will first advice you check if you meet up to the required rank that allows for the use of avatar, then if eligible, go to your image you wanted to use and see if the size is as the recommended one or not, before you then follow the procedures of uploading your avatar from the profile information settings, when you click on modify, its very easy to go through and understand without anyone telling you what to do.

You will need to change your avatar to place the red spot above this.

If you want to change avatar you must change yourself.  It will never be changed by admin, because what kind of avatar you take is only up to you. And if you participate in any campaign you must wear the campaign avatar and code.

There is nothing to discuss in this thread again because the needed answer has been given by different users and if the thread is open the same answer will be repeating itself again and again. So it is better to lock the thread. The moderators of the board should look into this thread and give their final judgement either to lock the thread because the question has been answered or to open for further discussion. By the right this thread would not supposed to reach second page because from the first answer to the 10 answer is okay for the Op.

If it were to be from the way things are being done on other forum, this thread may be regarded as a low quality one all because its something he could have make use of the search function for, or probably ask someone about how its been done, moreover the whole procedures in doing it is not that difficult, it only requires for attention and going through the profile informations to modify anything there.

This forum runs on its own rules and according to its own rules a Newerby member can add an avatar to his profile if he wants to but it's different for other forums.
Generally when a member achieves the rank of full member on BitcoinTalk forums he can add an avatar to his account. In this case this forum is an exception because the members of this forum can use avatar in their profile from any rank and how to use or change avatar has been clearly discussed by a member in the previous post. I think a new member can easily add an avatar to his profile if the instructions are followed properly.

If you want to change your avatar, go directly to your profile. Then click on modify profile on the right side and you will see an option written forum profile. After clicking on forum profile you will get signature option of your account then change signature and avatar from there. Actually this is also similar to btt forum so if you have used btt then you will understand very easily. The more research you do the sooner you will get ideas about this forum.

Guys please, the user who opened this thread to ask has not logged into the forum since February 3rd, that is, 4 months ago. Also, I think it's already pretty clear how to change the avatar in the profile. There is no need to repeat the same thing over and over again.

This thread will remain locked.
