On the altcoinstalks forum, there are lots of badges that are owned and that proves that the member has expertise in something that matches the badge.I don't really think that is necessary. In my opinion lots of currently available badger are uncessary too. like Translator, and Bounty Manager, becasue there are so many services people can offer, like coding, programming, marketing etc and some people even offer multiple services. if forum start giving a badger for any service they offer, It would be so messy.
Like this member who has lots of badges and one of them is the "Translator" badge, which means this member has expertise in changing languages from local languages to global languages.

Even though I have seen and read that there is a Subforum about Escrow (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?board=285.0) where there is an Admin in the subforum, perhaps all members too, if they have confidence in trading, definitely need the "Trusted Escrow" badge.
In every forum there must be trade and trade requires something called trust.
You need a third member or Escrow to be able to trust that a trade will be successful.
Does the altcoinstalks forum really require a "Trusted Escrow" badge for a trusted member?
~ Does the altcoinstalks forum really require a "Trusted Escrow" badge for a trusted member?Let the one offering the service prove his trustworthiness to his potential clients/customers. Let those who seek escrow to verify the legitimacy of the offered service without the involvement of the forum admin/officers.
Well anyone with that badge needs to be super trusted by the admins and the people. There are very few that I think fit that title IMO. If the need arises for an escrow I myself would be open to the job but let's see if we even see any trades happen.~ Does the altcoinstalks forum really require a "Trusted Escrow" badge for a trusted member?Let the one offering the service prove his trustworthiness to his potential clients/customers. Giving out a trust badge is tantamount to the forum admin/officers vouching for the said escrow. What happens when a newbie trusted that person because of the badge and then he still scammed?
I don't really think that is necessary. In my opinion lots of currently available badger are uncessary too.It could also be like what you mentioned, Translators are also included in the Bounty but the admin made a special badge for Translators.

If the need arises for an escrow I myself would be open to the job but let's see if we even see any trades happen. If you have a badge "Trusted Escrow" then your badges will increase to 5 and that's great to see.

Do badges have any actual functions? I thought they are just badges to make profile look cooler. ::) ::)
I see that the member with the username "alltalk" has 7 badges and each badge has its own function.

What if one day the admin is busy or away from the keyboard (AFK)?
Meanwhile, a member needs the trade immediately because of a sudden need, what do you think?
I think you did not understand what you quoted very well.Giving out a trust badge is tantamount to the forum admin/officers vouching for the said escrow. That means you think the Admin still has to be the "Trusted Escrow" for all trades, right?

Unfortunately we never know when someone will scam. A company could be trusted for 20 years and all the sudden take everyones btc and disappear. ICOs scam all the time, token sales have shown to be scams a good portion of the time, and even trusted escrows have went scam sometimes.~ Does the altcoinstalks forum really require a "Trusted Escrow" badge for a trusted member?Let the one offering the service prove his trustworthiness to his potential clients/customers. Well we just have to wait and see what the admin comment will be about this “escrow badge” if he’ll be willing to trust any forum member to that extent.OK mate, noted.

@Cantsay already said what should have been my response to you (second sentence/paragraph).
Also, did you intentionally omit the part when I said the admin or forum officers doesn't have to be involved in determining who should be the trusted escrow/s?
