One thing I noticed is that posts can be edited in this forum but not deleted at all. Although I don't know because I'm new or maybe I can't find the delete option. Can someone please help me how to delete the post.

Yes, you can not delete your post but you can modify it, before you can be eligible to delete post, you have to gain some rank. Or if you want to delete a your post, you can report it to moderator for it to be depleted.

It is true, maybe admin will add the delete option later. I think it is important because we may make a mistake in posting. If we make a mistake, we can delete the post ourselves. In the account profile, I also noticed that we have no information about total post. We only has the information about the activity.
It is very crucial to add 2 things:
- Delete option
- Total posts
For now, I think we can use Report to moderator to report the post. Moderators will delete the post for us.

There is no need to pay with ETH for this when you can do it cheaper with ALTT tokens on binance chain.

Burn 5$ worth of ALTT token to delete your own posts or 10$ to delete your own topics.

Thank you for the information you shared with me. Giving me clarification to make me understand the use of ALTT tokens. I changed what I said that purchasing a special rank is more convenient if what is intended is only to delete a post or topic. But still, I know that purchasing a special rank comes with a lot of benefits.

I don't think it makes any sense for me to pay some money in order to delete my posts, or that i have to get some kind of special rank to do that, i think the admin needs to look into that. People delete their posts for many reasons, and it should be available to all users, without needing any payment or special ranks.

I also don't want to pay just to delete my post or topics if there is an option to modify my post like I just update my thread or put something like I deleted my topic because blah blah, I will only request to delete my post or topic if it's locked or I need to delete because it is exposing my important info or personal details, but I hope it will be made available to use free.

I don't see a reason for me creating a post and later come here to ask for a means to delete such, which means it's either that am not focused on what I posted which I could have rather use the modify button to edit it to what I may want to have in it, another thing is that such post could be deleted when reported to the moderator and it was found to worth the standard for being deleted, then the moderator will make their move to ensure it's deleted as requested.

I don't even think anyone would pay to do that, i should be able to delete my posts easily, that is how things work in all forums i have been on, and i wonder why this one is different. I hope the admin changes this soon, and if they do not want to make a complete change, they can allow members to delete their posts only after 24 or 48 hours, or anything along those lines.

Some features that used to be free are now requiring payment with ALTT. Don't sweat it, though. It won't break the bank as long as ALTT prices stay reasonable. You can buy enough for future needs without feeling the pinch.

Thanks for the link and other information. This particular deleting button is needed for the forum because most of the post users made are rubbish and they need to be deleted immediately but the topic creator couldn't delete his own thread except the admin and president. When I was looking for some common features in the forum I couldn't see them so I moved on and I only saw modify and lock thread.

I don't think members who make low quality posts would want to delete their posts, by the way, if you see a low quality post, you can report it to the moderator. Forum members may want to delete their post for many reasons, but spammers do not attempt to delete their spam posts, if not they won't make them in the first place. Use the 'report to moderator button' for spam.

If you want to delete your post you need to achieve at least hero member rank. After achieving Hero Member rank you can delete your posts, and edits you can use another trick. Your useless posts can be deleted by moderators with full confidence.

I also noticed a few days ago that we can't delete our own topic or reply but I was not worried enough to create a topic on it, but you did good by asking it here as many might be able to get the answer they are looking for. Well, I was not worried because I could modify the post and write there moderator's name so a mention would sent to him/her and I would edit the post to add please delete this post. Or maybe will modify the post and remove the whole content from it.
But then I came to remember that we have a shop where we are given special features if we burn an ALTT token, and I also came to remember that with special badges we can actually get the feature of deleting the post or topic. If you have deleted useless posts in your profile then you must earn minimum rank. Because the power will be slightly higher if the account rank changes, and you can delete your posts by another trick. And some posts may be deleted if reported by moderators. By following these two techniques you can delete the useless posts as per his wish.

You may post as you wish but you cannot delete posts as you wish in this forum. To delete post in this forum you need to get permission from admin first and if admin allows you to delete post then you have to burn certain amount of ALTT tokens. You may be able to delete your post after burning the token. If you want to delete a post suddenly, you will have to spend money and you will have to go through a lot of trouble, so before deleting the post, try to post carefully so that there is no need to delete it later.

If you want your unnecessary posts to be deleted then definitely report by moderator. Report by moderator will definitely delete your post, because report by moderator will analyze it and if it is bad post it will be deleted. But you can never delete cheating posts, because cheating is not tolerated here. Cheating must be punished with proof, and your unnecessary posts can be deleted by moderators.

I think I saw the delete option in one of the comments I made few weeks back and I was trying to see if I can see the delete button but it is not showing again so I believed that it is not all the boards have the delete option but few boards. And one thing I like most in this forum the Moderators are very active. Once you report a post that you don't like and they see the report, it would not take time they would delete the post. I like the mods for their active service here. Good work.

Actually this is a rule published by the admin that everyone has to follow. However i think the post delete option should be turned on because due to internet problem, many times the same post is submitted twice. In that case the option to keep the correct one and delete the other should be given.

Anyway admin should make delete option to delete post for convenience of users. Suppose you participate in some social media bounty and after that bounty ends if all the links cannot be deleted then the beauty of the profile is lost. However, with the increase in posts then the activity of the account will increase so which is why it is better not to have the post delete option. Even no post deletion option prevents anyone from trying to scam. So if we want, we can make a claim to the admin in this regard.

i think it also allows more people more time to really take their time before clicking post you need to make sure you are giving something fundamental and relevant so as to not waste posting we really need to be a lot more careful during these times

See, you can't do that. But I will show you a trick that will allow you to basically clear out a post.
First use the BBcode color=white, and then put a period inside it, like this:
[color=white].[/color]
You can use this to basically wipe out your post without actually deleting it.

You can also try it with color=transparent too I think:

Or use a very tiny font size like size=1pt for the dor. And you can combine these two methods too, to make a post that is basically empty by all accounts.

Definitely agree with you, as i myself visit a good few times after writing the post. If there is any mistake then correct it immediately because once the post is submitted, it is not possible to delete it. But of course modify option is on to correct wrong post which is very necessary. However altcoinstalk forum new member is increasing from past to present so we should be updated with everything. New options and easily accessible rules need to be created so that new members do not have difficulty in understanding.

See, you can't do that. But I will show you a trick that will allow you to basically clear out a post.
And I can show you another simple trick, just click with your mouse, move over ''cleared'' post content and it will magically appear 8)
Or if you don't want to use mouse you can just click ctrl+a and everything becomes visible again.
It's also not that hard to buy few tokens and enable deletion of all posts, or just report them to moderators.
