Title: Bigger Avatar?
Post by: julerz12 on February 05, 2024, 03:43:42 AM
Would it be possible to increase the size of the Avatar? Maybe make it on par with what Bitcointalk has [120px wide, 80px tall, and 100 KiB in size].
A bigger avatar means better exposure to any project/company that's running a signature campaign on this forum. As it stands, the current avatar is too small to be noticed.

I think this is a good idea.
Avatars dont have to be huge but they could be up to 30% bigger and it should not break anything in forum.
Current 65x43 you are using for your campaigns is visible, but it's harder to read smaller text and graphics, so you can also try to convert shape from rectangle to square shape 65x65 px.

That's true, I also have the same opinion that if the size of the avatars is made a little bigger, it will look a little nicer to our eyes, the first time when I set my own avatar on the profile, to be honest, my texts were almost not visible. If possible, I hope the admin will take this matter into consideration.  :)

Julerz's idea is very good and this really increases the ratings of the various campaigns that already exist on the altcoinstlks forum.
A large avatar can also definitely increase the rating of a campaign project because it is seen continuously by all members on altcointalks or from outside the altcointalks forum.

But I don't know how to enlarge the avatar, I just follow what has been changed by the Admin policy.
Maybe I also really support what Julerz suggests, but of course this policy requires serious development by the Admin and requires a lot of time to change it. :)

It's fixed in size so you cannot enlarge it unless admin changes it technically. The avatar is fixed in size by 65px width while the badges have a 102px size. I guess that they have the same width to be fair instead of 120px as suggested by OP, so they will be uniform and will look like this image below. The avatar below has a size of 102*68px to be proportion instead of 120x80.

I also noticed that the avatar owned by Julerz is a little short in length and width, not very small.
I tried a screenshot of the Julerz account in this post and I tried to draw it with a red line. This is my view on this forum.
The result looks a little less wide and long, and what this means is that the Avatar is better in my opinion, the lines are equivalent to the length of the "Bounty Manager" or "Teleported" badge.

Hopefully the admin will provide the best choice for this role because I am also in this position to support Julerz's suggestions.
And this is just my suggestion, maybe other members can give the best advice or don't give it at all, that's okay.

Great!!
Will it work automatically or we have to manually upload the avatar again with 120*80 size.
Because so far I have seen that none of the avatars have increased in size, all are the same size as before.
Edited-
Oh, I see, now it's working after the uploading the Avatar again. Anyway, thanks to the admin for accepting the suggestion so quickly 🥇🥇

Thank you admin for fast response and effects towards the request. I can now see the beauty of the avatar currently although before it was good but a bit stressful for someone to clearly view it as Juler12 said.
I will have my avatar updated soon

Thank you admin for quick fix!
This change makes a big difference and it looks much better with new updated size, but I would like to ask everyone to download and manually add their new profile images in settings, instead of using the links.

This avatar problem solving will be remembered forever because this is the first time I have seen this problem solving.
Thanks Admin for working well and changing the Avatar to be more beautiful and visible to everyone on the altcoinstalks forum. Thanks a lot Admin. :)
This change will be very valuable because the first person who gave suggestions for enlarging the avatar was the Bounty Manager on the project that I support, namely Julerz for the Coinomize project.

This avatar size is good looking size. The new size of the avatar looks nice and fit the profile. I also appreciate julerz12 for the request he made to change the avatar size. And I also appreciate the admin for the quick response to do the job.
