I think it depends on what exactly you doing with the coincreasing, either for long term or short term investment or for dayour trading. All coins have unique feature and better suits for a particular purpose. Just know what our want to do and go for the best for that purpose. I will personally choose Btc for long term investment and altcoins for short term investment and day trading.

I still prefer in bitcoin although im invested also in altcoin but the big part of my money is invested in bitcoin because it's a very stong coins and may earn more profit once the market will rise.

Altcoins motive and ambition is built and designed on being like bitcoin. So it has influence over all the coins to the extent that it controls their price fall and increase. Yes, you're right. Many Altcoins were destroyed and projects collapsed when 2 years after their ICO was finished. We have to be more careful about altcoins that only have 1 marketplace and have little capitalization.

Bitcoin and altcoin are both good. You can invest in bitcoin for the long term as well as some of the “promising “ altcoins like ethereum. Of late some altcoins are scams and you should be careful as to which one to invest.
On my opinion, for the longterm invesrment, we can choose any undervalued altcoin that have good and clear project. It might be more possibe to give higher return (based on my opinion).
