Post by: Mr. Allcrypto on February 15, 2024, 07:17:27 PM
In the olden days, information where passed across via local means which will requires stress and time before it get across to other people, examples of old means which people use to pass informations are gungs, which town crier use, and also different other means like birds etc...
But as technology advance and in recent developments, the social media which is a very vast and a reliable means to pass information across the globe with no stress. Any where, anytime, one can easily pass information across at his/her own comfort zone.
What is social media ?
I will say that social media is an online platform that allows different people from different parts of the world to interact and easily shear information across to each other.
In our modern day, there is a well known phrase, which is; "Information  is power", and I agree to that because with the aid of information, we can know what is going on in our society at large....
Knowing fully well that the social media helps us to spread information, people tend to use this platform to shear information that will affect others negatively or positively.
Negative impact of information can cause damage and can traumatize people, which can cause disaster and also death .So we advise that one should use the social media positively...
You can also shear your ideas about the impacts of social media in our society, so we can educate each other on it because information is power.

There are some communities that are still using the ancient method of passing information to the indigenes because the modern ways of communication the the large community is too expensive. Example: Some communities cannot afford Radio station, and social media is for the literates and not for illiterates. Though the new technology helps the rapid development of the society but there is an advantage for it as well.

Social media has a huge impact on our society in positive as well as negative ways. For example, it helps us meet new people from all over the world and receive news from all over the world.
We can also become corrupted through social media by being influenced by other users' appearance, phone usage, or styles. If we choose not to attend church, we can still learn about God's word through social media. There are many other ways that social media can influence us, but what really matters is the kind of influence we want it to have on us.
