I think because ethereum is smart contract and many tokens use id. Ethereum is so popular in ICO project.

It doesn't really make sense. It's like expecting pepsi to completely go away because coke is so much better. They are different and valuable for different reasons. There's no reason either one succeeds over the other, they can both be successful.

I think Ethereum is so popular, many tokens use it. Maybe It is the main reason. It is my opinion.

I assumed that people does not satisfied with bitcoin. Normally because ethereum is the number two in crypto then they wanted to make it great like bitcoin in the future if possible.

People wants new. People wants to support new way of business that they know have clear visual of success. Despite of decline still there are enough investors and maybe we can include the new comers in crypto that like ethereum. To overcome bitcoin the altcoin must popular and have the possibility to be the next bitcoin. However, as for now bitcoin won't overcome.

Yes the other reason for that because many of people who hodl ethereum since couples years ago and they want increase their values of asset in ethereum. Unfortunately it will come soon because the amount of bitcoin holders are largest than ethereum's holders, just remember bitcoin is first cryptocurrencies in the world.

People actually abide with what we mean do not keep all your eggs in one basket so after getting themselves some bitcoins they also invested heavily in ethereum and they are patiently waiting.

Probably that's one reason. But if you will look closely, ETH is much better in terms of technology. Transaction is very quick and fees is cheap. Plus the devs behind are really very active, unlike in bitcoin wherein the devs split up and Satoshi is never to be found. However, I think it will take a big effort on ETH if ever they really wanted to make an attempt to overcome bitcoin.

I guess it is a natural event. Indeed we know that bitcoin is the first of crypto and we also know that there is many limitations to bitcoin like the transaction volume. Eth have better performance compare to bitcoin and maybe someday some other coins might overtake eth technology as well which will not surprise me.

probably many people are investing in eth so they expect eth prices to go up even beyond the btc price, or maybe because they follow this kind of bonty, as there are many coin tokens that join eth.

may be people want to buy ethereum over bitcoin is due to expensive price of bitcoin where the ratio for now is 1BTC =20ETH and people are thinking that they can earn more profit once the market price of Ethereum is increasing.

Both are good currency and this prove in their ranking of cryptocurrency. I think those people wants ETH to overtake bitcoin because they have already enough on their wallets. This is a speculative technology and every people predicts the price to gain more attention to make a rally. Indeed, Both coins will have a good future and every investors who will hold will get his rewards.

i think because bitcoin has a John fee for gas in making transaction while ethereum is not too expensive. Aside from this I see no other reason.

A lot of the coins are Ethereum based and as ETH goes up higher, I think it will help other alts to rise up too.
People who hold ETH will wish it overcome BTC as well.
It will also enhance competition between ETH and BTC.
