Just as the title implies, does it mean gambling has a spirit that controls gamblers whereby they don't know when to quit and when to continue?
If this is true please could you kindly explain it to me more better, because have I have came across few people that says over time while gambling and they reached their limits there is something in them to say they should try more time if they will win before leaving or closing for the day, and when they plays it will results that they lose and same thing will trigger them to bet again before they knew they don't know when they will end up emptying their account just to make sure they secure a winning for that very day before leaving.
But in the other hands I will boldly say that this is addiction spirit which has grown and resulted to greed, revenge gambling just to make sure they have winning before leaving the casino house has resulted in losing all their money.
What do you think spirit or not spirit?

casinos just as the media or government understand how to manipulate the behavior of a person. casinos have been collecting data to its users and how they react to promotion and bonuses. if they want to gambler to return and do exactly what they want to do, they will come up with new scheme. it doesn't mean they are scamming but we just fall to its trick and deposit more to play.
i noticed in 2018, some casino are sending emails revealing new strategies to win in dice game. later i learned it wasn't just me who received the email.
there is no spirit to gambling, we however preach money.

In gambling there is always a theory "when more time to play then they can win with less time they will lose" but I don't believe that because gambling is luck not skill that is needed so it will be very rare what I know from some friends who play for a long time then they win but often I hear they always run out and lose because they are too greedy.
So in gambling when you are excited then it's instinct that speaks but the reality is not like that and there is still a lot that happens, I say when they are too excited then not as expected then this will be an aggressive level and continue to bet until their money runs out.

Are you saying that when someone is happy they should avoid gambling or what?
To me I can only sense that when someone make huge winning at this point there is joy in that person and with this same joy and happiness he could be tempted to gamble the more to increase profits or even win higher than expect without knowing they are gradually losing for real. The idea of when a gambler gambles and made huge winning and still keeps gambling is what actually leads to gambling addiction because at that when he gets backs to gambling he would think that all funds will be recovered without even knowing that s/he is about to lose more.

I think if a gambler being controlled by a spirit or being told that they will win if they continue to gamble is just a superstitious belief. It is not a real belief, but more of a common excuse used by gamblers who lose money and try to blame it on something else. Because the truth is. they are in control of their own choices and actions.
It's already part of a human behavior. If a person loses something, such as money especially in gambling, they tend to look for something to blame and use as a reason why they experience such thing, even if it is not true. They often convince themselves of something that is not real.
-
Any gambler that is chasing his losses, is not a responsible gambler, and that is why he used the money that he cannot afford to lose to gamble, and this is why that gambler will find it difficult accepting his loss, and quit the game. This is because he needs the money badly, and he cannot let it go, because it will look as if he can win it back, but didn't take the bold step. This is why a gambler shouldn't see gambling as a means to make income, if not he will end up chasing his losses, and will end up being an addict because he cannot control his emotions. It is good time, you have a time limit for your gambling activities to save you from more losses.

Yes you are right, they are not ready to lose money because they lose they will try to recover their losses and that makes them lose even more at that time.
If this is still done then eventually they will increase their losses. That is simply not responsible for the gambling they do. Because if they are really responsible they will stop when they lose their first gamble and will come back again in the future instead of following the defeat at the moment.
-
This is weird. Thinking of this premonition stuff just want to avoid the part where the actual gambler is the reason why he is gambling too much. It's an addiction and there's nothing else. It's the responsibility of the gambler to know that he shouldn't do it anymore because you could lose a lot more if you continue. Just be responsible and accountable.

I was one of those who receive those emails as well I remember some years ago I created an email that is intended for gambling alone and receive the same ads about bonuses but good thing has happened with that email because it's now inaccessible as my old phone died way back 2021 due to the super typhoon that hit us hard.
But my problem right now is that my phone number got bombarded by gambling ads almost everyday which is very annoying. I don't know how these bastards knew my number.
I personally do not believe on the spirit thing in gambling, some will but I don't. None of those people I know who believe on it become successful with gambling so I don't think it works.

Well, @OP, if you suggest that there is a spirit in gambling that torments gamblers, then what could be the name of that spirit? Why doesn't the spirit torment all gamblers in the world?
It's an uncontrollable urge that affects some gambler, making it difficult for them to control their emotions and their decisions anytime they want to start gambling.
There are some hard drugs that some individuals would also allow themselves get addicted to which ends up to put them in a bad health conditions. So is how gambling also have that kind of urge and anyone who lacks self control would just become addicted.
-
No, I don't think gamblers see themselves as possessed and act as victims of a spirit that controls them. The evidence is clear: the vast majority of us who gamble do so responsibly, and those who have problems I bet there are other factors at play, such as low self-esteem, multiple addictions (drugs, sex, etc.) and other problems. But the fact is that one is responsible for one's actions and there are many people who have had problems in the past and have managed to get out of it, so I don't buy the spirits narrative.

You absolutely correct because people aren't able to control their gambling desire and they have been engulfed with greed at that point they won't know is greed but when they lose money they would look for something to defend themselves to make it looks as if was that which causes them to lose their money. Okay why don't they control their gambling or constantly betting if was controlled i don't they would channel their blames to any spirit or whatever. That is why is good for a gambler to know their limits and bounds while gambling to avoid excessive spending while gambling.

Gambling - one of the ways to get new impressions, relax from the grayness of everyday life. Gambling gives people those emotions that they do not get in normal life, and also helps to get andrenaline

Does it mean that those who are not gambler are suffering for any health disease?
If so show me those that who are gambling that has not turned into addiction, or similarly then i will know if gambling is bad or good in our lives today. I have had numerous stories of gambling addiction and what they suffers along the line.

There is no spirit that governs gambling. As you have mentioned, it is one addiction that drives gamblers to wager more than they would ever want to.
Generally speaking, addiction can be fatal at times since it acts as an overwhelming force that you are powerless to resist. It will constantly pressurize you to participate in it, and it requires a great deal of effort to stop.
-
What do you think spirit or not spirit?
It's only in the mind and it's just an alibi gamblers reason out when they are hooked to too much gambling, you are in total control of their action, there's no such thing as a gambling spirit for me, you are responsible for all your action, its the dopamine playing out, your desire to gamble because of the rewards its rather on emotion and not on being posses by any spirit.
All I know is if you are possessed you have no idea what's going on, you are fully aware that you are gambling you just deny that you can't control so you have this gambling spirit alibi.
-
Op did you hear that spirit use to control gamblers? There is nothing like spirit in gambling it is just greedy making people to be perpetual in gambling and that perpetual in gambling leads to gambling addiction. And you know what people are greedy because they want to win always and also want to win big so with that eagerness they become addicted to it. There is no spirit in anywhere.

That is often the case with a certain type of gambler. They tend to spend money on gambling without considering the possible consequences of losing it all. They lack responsibility and fail to think clearly about the risks involved. Once they have lost everything, they may feel out of control and unable to remember what they did. It is a crazy thinking. Everyone needs to gamble responsibly and within their means.

Just as the title implies, does it mean gambling has a spirit that controls gamblers whereby they don't know when to quit and when to continue? What do you think spirit or not spirit?
From the non-religious point of view, the spirit that is controlling the gambler is actually the addiction that is already consuming the person and when you are addicted to something you are losing control of your thoughts and emotions, hence it is as if there is a power that is above you telling you on what to do. Just like the military, you are supposed to obey first and complain later. This is quite true if one is already consumed with something. The same principle can even be seen when someone is very much in love with somebody else...you would defy anything, everything and everybody when you fight for your love because you feel that you can not live life without him or her...now it would be the same with gambling addiction. Of course, religion can also help because remember that prayers can move mountain...so when someone is seeking help getting religious can be a big step forward.

Note: Gambling is not an addiction, but the excessive and continuous practice of it is basically an addiction. From the African and Spanish terms, one might say that there is a sort of spirit behind it. However, from a general perspective, continuous gambling is literally an addiction. It's essentially a negative aspect of human nature, where people tend to be physically, emotionally, and mentally attracted to something that gives them pleasure. The root of this gambling addiction lies in the excessive and continuous practice.
The world is vast, and not every gambler is addicted. Some people only gamble occasionally, depending on their mood or state of mind. In conclusion, excessive gambling is described as a spirit in the African term and an addiction in the general sense.

If we don't make small mistakes while gambling then we can win in gambling. We can win in gambling when we lose money from gambling too much time we have to stop gambling. Gambling mainly depends on luck. In addition to doing this, gambling requires experience. If a person has no experience in gambling, he will lose most of the time in gambling.

Well if you believed in spiritually or something that we can't see, then maybe. But for me, it's all about the emotions. If you can't control your emotions and just losing money after money, then it's a sign that you might be starting to become a addict.
And with that emotion, it's going to be hard to control and you think that someone inside of you is controlling your mind, but it's not. So the first thing to do is get ahold of yourself and not let those emotions that you mentioned get into your mind.

When I saw this topic I smiled because I have always felt that there is a force that controls gamblers and this is why I felt this way in the past. Sometimes, I will make my prediction and then getting to the betting shop I will adjust the game and I will lose the ticket. This continued for a period but there was a day I adjusted the ticket and won then my mentality changed about a force controlling gamblers. A gambler is his enemy. If you can control your mind and be disciplined you can save yourself a lot.
Personal experience as I have noted shows that no supernatural spirit or external force controls gamblers’ actions. While some individuals may feel a sense of compulsion or loss of control when engaging in gambling activities, attributing this to a spirit in my thinking is a superstitious belief. If there is a force then nobody would ever win because the force will prevent every gambler from winning. If you make an accurate prediction, you will win.

No supernatural power or spirit can have any influence in gambling especially it is a game of luck. Here if one's luck favors him then surely he can win the bet and if luck does not favor him then he cannot change his luck by any miraculous powers.
There are many gamblers who constantly worship ghosts and cast various spells to change their luck so their luck never changes because gambling has no place for all superstitions.
Yes, experience can play a bigger role here than luck, but the inexperienced have been shown to win big jackpots on luck alone.

I don't think there is any such thing, people just take gambling too far and look for something to blame when they lose. Gamblers just like the high they are experiencing when they're winning and then when they start losing they think they will win what they just lost back in a few bets.
Maybe they were never taught self control when they were growing up.
-

Yes you correct I can easily conquer to this, most gambler doesn't apply self control while gambling they always want it the way it's on them without knowing there should restrictive and precaution measures they apply to reduce their lost instead they keeps looking for something to blame. Sincerely speaking when some people says about something controlling them while gambling makes me wonder if not for greed involved.
-

Exactly. Because if it really is true then why not most of those believers became rich in gambling right? Most of them are still searching for luck and yet they haven't found one. Luck is luck and nothing else.

Greed control's almost all gamblers because they all want to make winning by all means when it goes against them is channeled to something else while they are failing in gambling, I still can't remember when luck is out of gambling. Many acts as if gambling is something that is being controlled by them or natural forces if only they are losing but when they are winning they feels so professional or entitlement that it's their ways of regularly winning without knowing that luck is only running on them.

I think it is common among gamblers to apportion blame. Blaming external factors or individuals helps gamblers make sense of their misfortune. Gamblers sometimes say things like “Rashford missed a penalty and that is why I didn’t win…my mind told me not to play Manchester United well I know something is behind my refusal not to follow my mind”.
Gamblers also often feel a sense of control over the outcome of the game, even when they don’t have any control. For example, a gambler might believe that they can influence the outcome of a roulette wheel by throwing the ball in a certain way, or that they can predict which card will be drawn next in a game of blackjack. When these expectations are not met, the gambler may blame external forces for their losses.
-
There is no spirit that governs gambling. As you have mentioned, it is one addiction that drives gamblers to wager more than they would ever want to.
Everywhere man is entitled to their own opinion, talking about spirit controlling gamblers. By my own theology everything done on this earth is control by a spirit whether positive or negative spirit, mostly gambling or gamblers are controlled by a strong negative spirit for example I know of a gambler within my area who left his house driving himself to the place we're he gamble's finish his money bet his car, lost it to betting and return back with a commercial vehicle that's to tell you he is under the influence of a strong negative spirit, that's my opinion.

This is a case of addiction. When a gambler is addicted he exhibits behaviour that is not considered normal. The person in question has an impulse disorder so it became difficult for him to stop gambling when he should. What happened to him is common to all addicted gamblers. I have seen even worse cases.

It is good time, you have a time limit for your gambling activities to save you from more losses.
Gamblers chase their losses because they can't accept the fact that their money is gone, it makes no sense when you try to chase the money you have lost by gambling more. Some don't see it as a source of income they are just addicted to it and this is a way they get addicted easily to Gambling. A very common system they use when chasing their losses is the martingale system where after losing the first bet they double up their stake to play the next round and the more they keep losing they keep increasing their stake Because they are trying to recover, even if there's a slim chance of this working out it is very risky and absolutely not worth it

Just as the title implies, does it mean gambling has a spirit that controls gamblers whereby they don't know when to quit and when to continue?
If you think that it is a spirit, you must think that gambling addiction is a spiritual problem. If it is a spiritual issue, any spiritualist could solve it through spiritual means, but that is not the case because gambling addiction has refused to go away with prayer and spiritual sacrifices alone. If anyone has that thought, it is best they cancel it because that is an outdated way to think in this century when you could see that gambling requires professional help because addiction to it is a psychological problem.
-

Yes you are correct because I have also come to think of it about how the whole thing is going, what matters is the way we control our thoughts and feelings while gambling but that is by the way. Gambling is a game of fun and a game of interest and not what would entirely make one Rich overnight, even though people seems to be that hopeful of it to create additional income but that is the purpose. You know I have been following up with lot of post here and it shows that there is no spirituality behinds it instead emotions.
-
Spirit of greed of some sort. Why? Because most gamblers if not all ends up greedy and wants more even when losing since the idea of recovering those lost funds sometimes has to play in mind and that will be the start of being an emotional gambler or irresponsible gambler.

I agree with you. Spiritual methods are used to solve spiritual problems as you mentioned. This suggests that a gambling problem is not a spiritual problem as long as it cannot be resolved through spiritual methods. I believe that gambling has no spiritual significance. It would be misleading to claim that gambling is connected to a specific spirit because addiction stems from a gambler's behavior, which is unrelated to any spiritual practices. Those gamblers who understands what it means to gamble responsibly will never have problems gambling this is because they gamble within the acceptable gambling practices.

People do really love on attaching things, arent they? :)
Even having those thoughts about gambling has a spirit of gambling that controls someone for them to gamble which its actuallly the main reason on why they do gamble
because of such greed or love for money. Although not all would really be having this kind of mindset but there would really be those individuals who do really ends up
on having that kind of desperation on the moment that they do gamble. and ends up on blaming other things on the time or moment that they do experience shit things.

You know as a gambler with the way things are being operated or happening within the gambling space there would be every believe that there is a mystery behind gambling which is far from humans comprehension and I know it's just natural it all depends on how we feel it or see it. Realistically who doesn't know wouldn't know because they it has reck people's Life then there is every needs to asked if there is anything spiritually connected to it but it's no no.

it has nothing to do with spirits or whatever because it is our free will that makes us do whatever we want to do in my opinion people just say these things so they do not have to take responsibility of their own actions just accept that it is your own doing and your own decision that got you to where you are

Different people have different superstitious beliefs and you can’t deny them of these beliefs, but it still doesn’t mean all of these beliefs are correct. Concerning people who believe there’s some sort of a spiritual force that engineers addiction and forces people to get addicted, it’s just a superstition because addiction is a matter of the mind and the brain and not a spiritual thing, every gambler is responsible for whatever gambling decisions they choose to make and whatever decision a gambler affects his approach towards gambling. So if a person is addicted, then it’s because he made several gambling choices which let t the addiction.

In fact a gambler becomes addicted to a subject exactly when he keeps thinking and researching the same subject over and over again, when we do something if we like it more then we want to do the same thing again and again. , or if we go to a restaurant and eat a meal and if that meal is very good then we will want to go to that restaurant and eat the same meal later.
This is exactly how addiction originates from liking. When a gambler gambles, if he gets a good profit because of his good luck, then he will want to play the same game again and again and thus he becomes addicted. And he wants to play that game again and again, but while gambling we have to keep in mind that luck is not always the same in gambling, we may get some profit at first but later we lose it should always be kept in mind.

All I will say that there's this urge that most gamblers have especially those who are addicted to it , most time gamblers don't know when to stop most time they usually stop after losing all their funds for gambling, Because have found my self in such situation before , before I eventually stopped gambling, well started in an online casino, anytime I win or lose always have this crazy urge to want to continue inorder to get more (win more) at the end will endup with big losses till eventually endup emptying my wallet . Then my eye where open then I force myself to stop gambling before I will endup ruin my self.

It is lovely that you could stop. Most people find it difficult to stop gambling, especially after losing a significant amount of money. Humans are prone to refusing to accept defeat, especially when they have given so much and when they consider what they have lost, it is difficult to let go. However, it is better and safer for a gambler to stop gambling because if he continues to gamble, he will lose more money and become financially ruined.
-
Losing much money won’t let you leave gamble to go Scot free , most people will give their best to get it back and gamble is a risk game which isn’t guarantee . It very hard to accept defeat not even when you have put your effort and time to it .
If you are trying to gamble and get win instantly that is very low mindest everything needs patience but if gambling you can be still patient and still lose .
-
it has nothing to do with spirits or whatever because it is our free will that makes us do whatever we want to do in my opinion people just say these things so they do not have to take responsibility of their own actions just accept that it is your own doing and your own decision that got you to where you are
Some religions in life think that life is driven by spirits in a way that spirits controls humans. That if you have the good spirits, they will guide you to the good direction and if someone has the bad spirits, that they can guide someone to bad direction. Like if someone is filled with gambling, that a spirit of gambling will control the person. But for people that do not belong to the religion, they may not believe. Some people even generally do not believe in anything like spirit.
-
No, particularly we are humans and we are on this plane, no spirit of anything should control us, we are people who possess many things, including matter and with that we are independent, and we do not have to exert or not exert any other type of forces, I believe that people who get carried away a lot by the game is because they really do not have a clear idea of ??their essence and they let themselves be carried away by something that they should not, the addiction begins there, so you have to control yourself so that there is not so much loss of money.

This is only an issue when the gambler believes he is in a battle with the bookmakers. Unfortunately, most gamblers think this way, which is why they find it difficult to quit, as you have mentioned. Giving up is equivalent to letting go of money lost, which results in profit for the bookie and loss for the gambler. Most gamblers believe that this is a win for the bookmaker, which makes it difficult to accept.
However, a gambler is supposed to compete with himself rather than with a bookie. A gambler is expected to protect his finances. That is, ensuring that he gambles only what he can afford to lose. Gamblers should protect their relationships. That is, ensuring that he does not spend too much time gambling while neglecting his family. This is where the real battle is, not with the bookie. The reason is that gambling is unpredictable, and it always favors the bookmaker. Thus, a gambler should avoid problematic gambling because it is the only way he can win.

Ordinarily, gambling isn't a job or something like a business that you need to put so much effort on in order to make profit, countless times it's been emphasized that gambling should be an activity that one should use to pass time or have fun, maybe after a stressful day at work or something, and then you need something to get your mind off the stress and then relieve you a bit. But rather than causing a relief, it does quite the opposite to many people, and that's what happens when you focus more on the financial benefits of gambling rather than the fun it was initially meant to offer.
When a gambler realized this, then he'll know that there's absolutely no point putting much effort of resources on gambling with intentions of making profits, since gambling has an unpredictable nature.

But in the other hands I will boldly say that this is addiction spirit which has grown and resulted to greed, revenge gambling just to make sure they have winning before leaving the casino house has resulted in losing all their money.
What do you think spirit or not spirit?
I have not yet heard anyone say that gambling has a spirit that controls the gambler. It may be the religious belief of the locals of some region or the people of some society believe it. But in reality, it totally depends on the mental state of a gambler that if they can control their greed in this case they are less satisfied and then they don't gamble anymore. On the other hand, those who do not have control over their greed, do not have control over their emotions, they gamble more and later become addicted to it.

Although some gamblers continue to believe that there is a spirit that controls gamblers and causes them to choose the wrong games all the time, this is not the case. As you mentioned, a gambler's mind is what causes him to believe such things.
When a gambler has tried all means and strategies that he believes will help him win and has failed numerous times, he will look for a way to justify his loss, and most of them have eventually concluded that there is a force behind gambling that makes it difficult to beat the bookies.
-
No spirit controls a person to gamble but the person itself controls it for me I think the person will gamble in hopes of winning. They do it because they believe there’s a chance to come out on top, even though they know there’s a risk of losing. there is no spirit but the desire of winning makes them keep going.
-
This is weird.
It is as simple as that, there's no spirituality behind it, the addiction is simply fueled by greed nothing more. I have met a lot of gamblers that feels like a spirit controls their actions. First of all the money is within your possession, you thought about flipping it to get more and after succeeding to that luckily you get tempted to continue playing till you eventually lose everything, would you say a Spirit is responsible for that too? You are right on the fact that it's the responsibility of the gambler to be in control over his decisions, any losses you have is entirely your fault because you chose to gamble.
-
People are always drawn to money. You will notice a gambler find his time to play despite in the middle of family reunion. We have a family member known to have been gambling since time. While we are so busy catching up this uncle is just not comfortable that he needs to be alone in the toilet room just so he could play.
He has his own world to tend to. It's not a spirit, it's his mind just somewhere else.

Not entirely meant there are spirit behind it and what I understand is that the rate at which they aren't able to control themselves while gambling due to gambling addiction is what makes people think there is spirit behind it. When something is done excessively we can say that person doesn't control himself and May likely felt that there is something behind the reason why they can't control themselves.

Why people do really talk about spirits as if they would really be that blaming it out on which the real culprit or problem on here is into their own minds.
WE do know that when it comes on making decisions then it will really be basing up into our own mindset on which of course it will really be something that pertains
about self choice because we are already old enough to tell on whats good and whats bad and this is something which is really that normal on this aspect.
Decisions made will be basing up into your own approach and outcomes will surely comes in next.

I want to also said that. Some public here may say such things to hide their gambling addiction. Also, it may be that gambling is considered an evil act in some religions and all evil acts are from the devil's side, so if it is said that these are controlled by the spirit, then I do not want to say anything about this because it would hurt religious feelings. Moreover, we should respect the religious matters. In the conventional sense, people try to cover the matter much like covering a fish with vegetables.

Good! So I am as well, I tried much as possible to avoid any religious discussion as I mostly have respect for everyone decision and choice of religion. But this doesn't dispatched that gamblers shouldn't gamble responsibly because of their traditions, and gambling addiction is one of the most difficult thing to handle that is why many religion speaking against gambling since it's entirely destroy people's lifes and ways of reasoning.

Yeap, gambling is for fun and yes peoples can have fun and enjoyment by gambling but gambling could be also cursed for a person he is being addicted to on it and and the end of the day a life and a family fully destroyed. While writing this post, I remembered a story from last year. A classmate of mine was addicted to gambling and he gambled with the semester fee money of our college and later borrowed money from someone to pay the semester fee but he again invested that money in gambling that he can multiply that money but it is more No, he lost by gambling the borrowed money. And later went into depression and took many sleeping pills and later he was admitted to the hospital and di*ed a day later. His memory is still in my mind and I am sure that this kind of story is not the only one so gambling should be played with responsibility so that it does not become the cause of our sorrow.
-
Although I will say that most of the gamblers that I met they are all superstitious, but I do not think that they could be believing that some spirits are controlling them? It's always about luck in my opinion, there are really days that you are unstoppable and now matter what games you play you are going to win, and some when you are unlucky, and that's why you need to stop when you feel that everything is not working on your side.
So for me, no, there are no spirits that control gamblers. It is still ourselves, whether we what gambling to control us, or we have control of ourselves and not fall for being a addictive gambler.
-
I think there is no spirit that could control gamblers because we need to be realistic and understand that we are all just people. With our vices: greed, inability to control ourselves, and so on.
-
There's nothing spiritual about gambling. Gambling is too addictive that people think there's a spirit behind it.
I only think that people should control their emotions and gambling addictions.
There's no spirit forcing people to stake their money, greedy and the get rich quick syndrome is responsible
-
The only thing that makes people to be addicted to gambling is the quest to become rich, win games often, and be successful through betting. No other reason behind it. Where one has lost many times in game, you will be motivated to recover your losses, and then you will see yourself loosing more, becoming addicted to it.

I agree, there's absolutely nothing spiritual about gambling. Gambling is purely circular and shouldn't have anything to do with spirituality.

I agree, there's absolutely nothing spiritual about gambling. Gambling is purely circular and shouldn't have anything to do with spirituality.
When a gambler loses, he has a lot of thoughts, and sometimes they attach spirituality to it to justify their loss, but as you mentioned, gambling is not spiritual.
If it were spiritual, no one would ever win except those who are permitted to win in order to pique gamblers' interest, and these people could only be staff, relatives, or some other type of false arrangement.
But this is not how it works. If you are lucky, you will win, and even the bookies have no control over the outcome of a game; their only advantage is that sports are unpredictable and so it is unrelated to spirituality.

This is important bearing in mind that gambling has little to do with luck than with odds and chances. In this context the either you win or lose perspective is not something that no one not even the bookie can influence due to its random related nature. The thought that the result can only be prearranged just adds unwanted assumptions. We also have to remember that the very object of most forms of betting: athletic competitions, contain an element of surprising unpredictability which, however, is part of their appeal. When losing it is normal for many things to cross the mind but to attribute it to a different realm for instance spirituality is not the way to go. That should also be obvious, it is integral to the nature of gambling as a phenomenon.
-
People react to risking money and winning money. I don't think there is spirit that controls these gamblers and if there is, it could be the spirit of socialising where we are fascinated to casinos and the idea of getting money out of nothing.
Addicted gamblers are contrast lled by their dopamine. Just as some of us are addicted to eating chocolate since it feels good while they at it.
-

Yes, that is what precisely dominates players, dopamine and that feeling of feeling good and happy, apart from the fact that you have to add the feeling of that adrenaline that makes you want to continue playing more, but it is something that must be controlled in order not to fall into possible addictions, sometimes coins must be controlled no matter what, that is why I apply money control, control what I am willing to spend or lose, it is the best, for me personally it has worked for me both in gaming and in trading.

Ofcourse, I concur, gambling is just an addition and nothing else. Gambling is not the only thing people are addicted to, unless you want to claim that there's a spirit behind all forms of gambling

The spirit on which everyone is talking about here is really just that only found on your head on which this is indeed the 'brain', there's no such thing about gambling does have spirits or whatsoever because if we are really just that trying out to realize at least into the things that we are dealing on with, then it will be that understandable that basing up on what are perspective and emotions towards gambling and this is is what you would really be having in mind. There's no such thing about spirits that control you on which this is really that something that you can be able to stop if you wanted to because if you arent that taking up such act then you are really that bound on doing shit decisions ahead.
-
The spirit on which everyone is talking about here is really just that only found on your head on which this is indeed the 'brain', there's no such thing about gambling does have spirits or whatsoever
whether you believe in spirits or not depends on your culture or religion there has been no physical or scientific evidence of spirits existing so a gambler who does not believe in spirits can say that no he is not plagued by the spirits to keep gambling however someone who believes in spirits may use that as a way to justify his gambling habits
-

Even if a gambler tries to justify his gambling habit by claiming that there is a spirit behind it, in the end, he is the one who loses the most. It is better to face reality and accept the loss than to continue losing and believing that the loss and constant urge to gamble are the result of a spirit.
If there is a spirit that causes people to lose or win, I am sure that people would have gone to appease it in order to regain control of their gambling. People's perception of spirit is their mindset, and if they can control their mindset, they will realize that there is no such thing as spirit in gambling.
-
I don't see any link between gambling and gambling because there's nothing spiritual about gambling but it's an act that you intentionally do so linking it to gambling is not true so it should be treated as a physical matter gambling is something that can be controlled because it is an intentional act that is done deliberately so it is not a matter that should be treated as a spiritual, one thing that will make any one to think of seeing gambling as spiritual is when that person has no control over their gambling activities and so is addicted to gambling
-

Where one has lost many times in game, you will be motivated to recover your losses, and then you will see yourself loosing more, becoming addicted to it.
You have said it all, it's greed that makes human takes risks they should have avoided in the first place. Some people believe that there is a spiritual person somewhere that make them some things unaware and gambling is one of the sacred things they see as been evil, when they won they don't say it's evil but the moment they lose, they push the evil narrative and say it's the spirit.
People are drive by their greed for money, they want the shorted possible form to make money and that's why some people are so ready to gamble even when they don't have any experience, they are ready to risk it all.
-
It's more on the mind though, we all know how powerful our mind is, if we let gambling control our thoughts, then definitely it will take us where we want to go, i.e. becoming a gambling addict.
But if our mind says that we are enough with this gambling, then nothing is supernatural about it, we can stop it anytime we want.
It's that gamblers really find a lot of excuses to gamble.
-
Just as the title implies, does it mean gambling has a spirit that controls gamblers whereby they don't know when to quit and when to continue?
If this is true please could you kindly explain it to me more better, because have I have came across few people that says over time while gambling and they reached their limits there is something in them to say they should try more time if they will win before leaving or closing for the day, and when they plays it will results that they lose and same thing will trigger them to bet again before they knew they don't know when they will end up emptying their account just to make sure they secure a winning for that very day before leaving.
But in the other hands I will boldly say that this is addiction spirit which has grown and resulted to greed, revenge gambling just to make sure they have winning before leaving the casino house has resulted in losing all their money.
What do you think spirit or not spirit?
you have said it all,the cause is spirit of addicton that have grown into greed, greed is actually the main reasons why they refuse to quit gambling, there aim is one day i will be wealthy with it.

If a gambler keeps thinking this way then there is every possibility they wouldn't stop being addicted because they believed to have becoming wealthy one certain and I can't see anyone who thinks about this to be entirely free from the addictions, addiction is something that stagnate gamblers without them using their proper senses to do whatever they are doing.

Yes, it's our emotions, usually greed throws us to play more and then we became addicted to gambling. And most likely it's because that we want to recover the money that we lost, and so with that, we wanted to play until we can't control ourselves and then we turn into addicts.
So even if we heard this spirits inside our mind, we should really fight it so that we won't be a gambling addict. Maybe just think of the money that we are going to lose or where we should use that money. At least with that, we can fought it and then it will later subside and maybe that "spirit" will not come back.

Setting limits for oneself is mostly important thing to do because when gambling and we don't have limits or even regulates our desire for earning something huge from gambling it creates additional problems for ourselves where we wouldn't mind the amount we keep wasting on the gambling site. But with proper discipline we can know when to stop, when to resume and when to quite gambling, that is why a responsible gambler doesn't skip their words towards gambling. If they planned to gamble for 1 to 2 hrs when that time is reached even if they still have balance on their account you would see them stopping for that moment and look for another things that is more productive than gambling.
-

people seem to forget that you can lose money in gambling the only thing they can think of is what to do with the money if they win they start daydreaming and getting delusional

I have also no issues with the religious believes that gambling has a spirit that controls gamblers but don't get by abuse of it.
Because I have read some of news that there are some bad people that they have the magical power and they could also rise the spirit to win your bet and for that day will also take a Fee. So I say don't get abuse of it.
-
So in gambling when you are excited then it's instinct that speaks but the reality is not like that and there is still a lot that happens, I say when they are too excited then not as expected then this will be an aggressive level and continue to bet until their money runs out.
The rationale behind a gambler winning big ano giving up in gambling is very simple. When you win big you will want to win bigger. The idea of wanting to win bigger can ruin your previous wins

Talking about magical things like this or things that cannot be seen with the naked eye is actually complicated, especially if it is associated with a certain belief or religion.
This is quite a sensitive thing, so believe it or not, it is the right of each person. Moreover, this is also associated with something that is considered negative by some people, of course it becomes even more sensitive.

Anything beyond the realm of the senses provokes some form of thinking and every individual has the liberty of entertaining any thought he fancies. It is impossible to cover all aspects and reactions to them, and it is quite reasonable for there have been different responses to it. It may take time to realise that despite the fact that we are all the same people, our impressions are not the same, which stems from our individual experiences. Thus, there is always an opportunity in life to enter premises with different views on this or that issue. Despite such differences, it is clear that if people can respect each other, the differences are not a hindrance to people’s interaction. It would be better to remain an area of freedom because people have the right to believe or not, they do not have to be driven by it. It is reality that diversity in ways of thinking is one of the parts of life which should be embraced.

If you believe that there is a spirit that controls gamblers, the gambler cannot choose whether or not to abuse it because his gambling actions are determined by that spirit that controls gambling. This means that the gambler will most likely abuse gambling because he has lost control of his gambling, just like an addicted gambler.
Only addicted gamblers are easily manipulated because they have slowly created a monster in their lives that they find difficult to control.

It's our brain controls what to do and don't, the human brain can addicted to anything and once it happened getting rewired is such a hard task.
There's no magic spirit that control us from somewhere it's just our inner devil make wrong choices and gets trapped in it forever.

Yes you are right, besides that, habits that eventually become a culture will also greatly influence this matter. Environmental doctrine and even from parents will greatly determine the direction of the journey.
So once again this is something that will return to each of us, we also cannot argue much here, because as I said this will be a very sensitive area if it is connected to gambling.

It is true that many people were being addicted to gambling in this current time and making they are life disaster.
But most of the time in this situation are those types of gamblers who do not view gambling as an entertainment purpose but think of it as a money generating source. And of course we always have to gamble keeping this in mind and at the same time we have to control our greediness otherwise not only in the case of gambling we will face disaster situations in every field of life.

Lets not take it to another real, the only spirit that backs up any thing we do in a wrong manner is addiction, so its more better and also pays when we are gambling responsibly than when we are not doing it in the right pattern, but it surprised that some would have taken what is personal into spiritual realm when they have the personal control over the thing, we just need to exercise some way of being disciplined form how we are gambling and that settles it.

Basically, it is essential to consider gambling as an entertaining pastime and not an opportunity to gain financial profit. We have the liberty to choose, and for one to decide to choose the decision, they must do so with their eyes wide open. Most of the people get into the gambling with the hope of gaining big money within short time and most of them end up wasting their time. The fact is that in practise, the chance of obtaining a definite outcome is not given, and therefore the potential consequences must be evaluated. Int thus mean that anything we enjoy have to become modal or something we look forward to only when it is there. Thus, the understanding of your own attitude can ensure that your emotional state and financial condition is under control. However, as long as the entertainment is reasonable, any form of entertainment can still be enjoyable, thereby not having negative impact on the persons involved.
