I am interested in learning coding, which programming language would you recommend for a beginner to start with is it basic, java or python. People are saying c++ is also very good to start with but I need an experts opinion on this. I have to realise that programming creates an opportunity to for you without stress you can earn money from the comfort of your home doing this especially when you are good with developing a website. There are companies now looking for data base analysts and other tech related experts. Learning coding in 2024 is a very lucrative idea

Becoming a programmer in Nigeria gives lots of advantage, considering the level of job scarcity, and the need for everyone to start doing things remotely. When it comes to programming, It first determines what you want to do,but the truth is, so many developers we have today literally started without even having any idea on what to learn or do. So here is what they do. They start with learning front end development, which most times involves 4 courses or more (HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, PHP). After like 8-18 months of practice, they might choose to continue with web development thereby learning in depth, or they might choose to learning something else like Python, C/C++,etc.
Even though web development has become a general field in computer science, I will advice that you start with that, so you can choose other fields as time passes. Web dev courses (HTML and CSS) are pretty much easy to understand, which gives a soft welcome to anyone new because they are literally not programming language.

Yes there is, it's just that it takes time to master and there's always some stage that you will get to and you will feel like quitting, little push helps a lot and you need guidance too because it's hard to be self...
Ask your cousin what aspect does he want to go into... there are lot of aspect but I can suggest he learn the markup Language (HTML) and Python as a beginner, the python might not be his way depending on what he chooses but it will improve his thinking ability.
If he wants to become a Web developer, he needs to understand which aspect he want to choose either FE, BE ,FS it alot though but he should make alot of research. Besides, he can always cross at anytime but that might slow him down a little and at the same it still good to have alot of knowledge from various aspect , there's alot actually attached but that's the Basics. Let him/her start with what I've mentioned hen they cab try learning a high level language a month or two, with these learning other language for their desire line will be just like a breeze

Paying simply for someone like a mentor to teach you personally can be better than trying to learn to trade your own. When you pay someone to learn from them, the person will be wise to share their experience with you, and that can shorten the learning process and make you understand because they know the basics well, and for you, you will learn faster than when you try to learn on your own and will simply get distracted and easily.

Determine your motivation for learning to code. Choose the coding language you wish to learn first. Enroll in virtual classes. View instructional videos. Peruse printed books and electronic books. Use resources that facilitate your study of code. See how other people write code. Finish your code assignments. Locate a community and a mentor. You might want to sign up for a coding boot session. You must consider the age of your nephew first, programming involves a high level of mental concentration, at a certain age it might be challenging to learn and you can't force yourself to grab it. But if he's of the right age then he can start by learning basic and python, this might be difficult at first but they are the simplest programming languages to start with. One basic requirement is a good laptop, some beginners try to use a mobile which might make the learning process a bit challenging. Watching the right beginner tutorials too would help out.

Not really I don't believe that age is a very big limitation in coding especially for younger ones. People literally think it's very difficult but the truth is coding is very similar to math and anyone can do it. Kids infact are the fastest learners in programming and coding especially if the kid loves doing it. A smart kid could literally learn JavaScript and html to an intermediate level in just a space of say 4 months or even less.
Infact I'm not making speculations rather I'm speaking from experience. To be a very good programmer you need to have enough spare time to practice and thats exactly what kids have in abundance. Coding also works better for creative minds and kids are the perfect example.

I guess if someone wants to begin coding then the first thing he/she should do is to learn about programmers and watch some documentaries and interviews of those programmers. Once one watches those documentaries and interviews of the programmers then one should make his/her aim to learn programming at slow pace.
If someone wants to learn web programming then HTML should be the first language to learn and after that one should master JavaScript and CSS. It's better to learn front-end languages first and once someone learns those front-end languages then he/she may begin learning back-end languages like PHP. Python, SQL etc.

Yeah you have a nice point+1 when you want to begin coding or programming you need to ask yourself first why you want to learn it and what do you intend to apply it for because it would go a long way in helping you choose the right language for you as well as being able to specialise in the most important aspects.
Now for starters I think most people decide to begin with html no matter the language they have in mind simply because it's the easiest when it comes to understanding syntax and being able to independently write a code without bugs that would run without having to automatically setup a host on your text editor. Some persons after then proceed to phyton because of it's easy readability and application in many tech aspects today.

They should also take note of the type of interviews they watch if possible avoid those that just talk about how you can start and finish in a short period of time and at the end of that interview they’ll ask that you get their material where they have everything sorted out.
Look for those that fit into your style and that you can cope with - remember that you can’t always work with everyone’s style you have to figure out what work best for you and then work with it.
As for the road map you showed at the end it’s pretty decent for web design and development - it should be sufficient enough and as you enhance your skill you’ll get to know more about it and possibly include more languages to your game.

+1 Yes, Html is the best language to begin learning web development and in general it could be best to learn coding as it's a very old language and easy to understand. One can really build awesome websites by learning Html, and there're so many good courses about it are available for free on YouTube.
Python is truly a marvellous language to learn and anyone who masters it can build anything he/she wants. The Python developers get paid some good amount of money for their skills and now the Python developers can get even more jobs as it's the main choice for Machine Learning.

Not just HTML, but CSS as well. These two languages are very much basic for beginners as they don't contain logics. They are easy to read, master and remember, especially when he practices them often. He should maybe warm up with these two, then if he happens to be interested in building his strength in web dev, then he should add more courses like javascript and php.

Python is a very demanding course. It's widely used in different areas of tech, and I believe many employment opportunities comes from this area. I heard that it is easy to read and understand, but trust me when I say that the OP will have to learn more than a lot to be a professional, because it's unlike the HTML and CSS courses that he can easily complete in a space of 3 months.

The knowledge of the background and experiences of programmers form our first lesson in learning the programming language. Thus, in addition to inspiration, documentaries and interviews offer insights into problems that practitioners have encountered. This may help us develop the desire to go on learning and not to quit along the process of learning. Learning about the process of other people might prove to be essential to finding ways of maintaining our respective focus on the programming exploration.
By the time we begin learning web programming, deciding to start with the HTML as the first language is the correct thing to do. Through use of HTML we normally establish a perfect basis in extracting the simplest format of every web page. Continuing the web site development with the tools such as JavaScript and CSS will afford us with a means of creating highly interactive web sites. Finally when we are okay with the front-end languages like HTML, JavaScript , CSS etc we can then proceed to learn the back end languages which include Php, python and SQL and other languages for enriched opportunities in web application development. Thus, it will be possible to make the process of learning interesting as well as full of fun, as well as to develop the skills which may be useful further.

Well HTML, CSS and JavaScript are the most basic and simplest programming languages to delve into if you are considering a career in fontendweb development, they are so basic that if one is serious it can be learnt under a month, after this one can move into learning the fontend frameworks like Angular, React etc to better one fontend web development skill one can still learn backend web development if one is passionate about it and focus on framework such as nodes, Python etc this are also very simple to learn with a preexisting knowledge of the languages namely HTML CSS and JavaScript.
