Post by: Maxwell99 on February 26, 2024, 08:07:45 PM
There are controlled legalization that some people has proposed as a solution to the current situation in Nigeria. Under this crypto will be controlled by the government not completely banned. This will allow for a smooth and more transparent crypto market, additional the solution is to allow Nigerians to trade crypto through P2p platforms. This will give more freedom for individuals to trade and invest in cryptocurrency, while the government is regulating the market. Some platforms like paxful are already used by Nigerians to trade crypto, and could benefits more if the government allow it.

if you mean smooth and more transparent as no privacy and freedom to trade in the decentralize market then the things that early developers fear to happen has really happened and they can already conclude crypto has failed. although i think its yet not too late because after all we can still get out and use some other platform, the regulators will be implementing stricter policies.

paxful is one platform that is just collecting data from users and it was used by regulators to suspends p2p operations in some countries.

Paxful is full of scam, and I would not recommend it to anyone for trading. However, Paxful is not a big exchange like Binance and Kucoin. It is Nigerians that are operating in those exchanges as p2p traders, and no one will exchange your cryptocurrency for you to Naira, if he is not from Nigeria. So we already have Nigerians trading in those exchanges, and most of them don't pay any tax to the government, because it was recently that banks were allowed to accept cryptocurrency in Nigeria.
