I've been trying for years to rank a youtube channel but it's been a failure. I bootstrapped my channel by spending money but there is a problem of 90% fake followers. I think it's bad luck for me. Actually learning youtube marketing is very important if we want to earn money from youtube. A friend of mine learned youtube marketing and ranked a gaming channel easily. In fact, to increase the views and subscribers in the video, you have to learn youtube marketing.

You should not give up and keep trying continuously. Because without any background it takes a lot of trouble to create a good position on YouTube. Moreover, it is often seen that it takes a lot of struggle and time to get success on YouTube.
Also I would like to say that there are many times that your content is qualityfull and informative but you don't get good response for not uploading properly. As in this case you should make content based on what the community you are creating content for wants and what is trending in that community. And then there is the matter of doing SEO to get organic views. You can get views by boosting but they are fake and not good for the channel.

youtube is getting harder and harder to get into these days because most people just watch videos on tiktok or instagram reels not so much interested in long videos that youtube offers
however what i have found is that consistency is key when it comes to setting up youtube channels even if you are not getting much views or engagements yet one day you’ll post a video that will be viral and that would get you momentum

Of course, having experience with youtube marketing is very important if anyone wants to get a lot of subscribers and views on a youtube channel. Everyone should work on a winning content so that everyone is more attracted to the topic. Moreover, a lot of tags should be used when releasing a video because the algorithm will make your video reach everyone through the use of tags. Actually i have worked with a channel for several days but success does not catch everyone. A youtuber has to struggle a lot to get views and subscribers on the video which is my shortcoming.

I was looking into this alternative to make money online but a new channel with less than 15 subscribers will have no chance of competing the large channels with millions of followers.
Would you recommend the social media services where they will send you thousands of subscribers for a price like $100 for thousands of subscribers?
Just to give it a push so that it won't be embarassing to show my channel to someone I knew?

I'm assuming you want to buy subscribers to watch you, right?
You can buy subscribers, but those subscribers will not watch you UNLESS you want to pay as well.
Creating a YouTube channel takes time, and I've tried it. I tried making content about a popular Mobile MMORPG game, I tried buying some subscribers, but it's pretty much useless if they aren't watching you. I'm not an expert in YouTube, but from what I see, YouTube shorts are the one that's booming right now since the attention-span of viewers is just low, and they don't want to spend more than 20 minutes on a video unless they really wanted to. I also tried YouTube shorts on my channel, and it gained some views organically, but I stopped it for some reasons.
I don't want to recommend, and I've seen services here and in the other forum as well. You might as well try it for yourself. Good Luck.
