Title: AltcoinsTalks forum simple monthly report: Feb 2024
Post by: MrSpasybo on March 01, 2024, 07:42:50 PM
I decided to create a simple monthly report at the end of each month so we can track, compare and evaluate the quality of the forum.

I hope to have everyone's contributions so we can have better reporting in the future. Thank you very much!

This is the February 2024 report.

All can check the January 2024 report:

Thanks for sharing the stats with us, although I am not very impressed after seeing the total number of members joined in this month, as an increment of only +239 is not enough but still forum has a lot of room to grow so I am not that disappointed. One thing I saw different is, when you checked the website on a similar web last month, it was giving the local or country rank in Russia and this month's stats are showing in Vietnam, I think you must be using some VPNs, or did the admin moved the servers from Russia to Vietnam place.

A suggestion here is to try to compare the current month with the last month's stats, like Total Visits, etc. like metrics, Although you have already shared the metrics like Number of members, etc. But monthly traffic would be more helpful if compared with the previous month's stats. Although I appreciate you efforts so +1.

Thank you for your great effort in sharing these statistics.

Through these statistics and comparison with last month, we notice that there is some growth in some comparisons, such as the number of members, the number of posts, the number of visits, traffic, etc.

It is true that the changes seem minor at the moment, but I am sure that they will grow more with the passage of time, as members become more active, and more join the forum.

What surprised me was the conflicting information about statistics from HypeStat and SimilarWeb. I don’t know why this big difference in statistics between the two sites?

I am impressed how much revenue this website is generating with so few visits. Many donations, companys making campaigns, etc.

Congratulations to the admin, who has been able to keep this forum for so long, and make it profitable and with lots of users.

There is still so much room to grow. 100k Visits is very small. With better discussions, more users can join here.

Great! thank you MrSpasybo for sharing this website. I've used a few traffic checker websites but most of them are limited, as they require you to create an account to use them, let alone a subscription.
Anyway I am visiting https://hypestat.com/ now it goods in kind of all aspect ratio , no need to creat account or any subscription to analyze a websites traffic. You may have opened this topic to show the monthly report of Altcoinstalks forum, but interestingly, I found something important for my work here.

I'm surprised there aren't more users they're moving here to make money from sig campaigns. Many ppl came to altcoinstalks from bitcointalk because of their mixer sig campaign ban so you'll be expecting more users to use both sites.

i'll say it's just a coincidence, usually this forum does not generate enough to cover the yearly costs.

I dont know who is making so much donations, except that guy who made scam accusation without providing any evidence.
But I see that traffic increased a lot in last few months and maybe that is the reason for error pages we see in last few days.
Maybe it is time to upgrade server and hosting packages if owners want to see forum growing.

Nice stats!!! Managers might be able to use the numbers to try and attract some new campaigns. Still need to see them go up, but not a bad start so far in the year.

Growth of activity in forum in last several months is evident to everyone, but managers should look more than just a numbers, and we don't have anything to measure quality of discussion yet.
If they want to attract more campaigns we also need to have more stable working forum.

Server quality is extremely important for the forum in the future when we will have more than 100K members. We understand your efforts and priorities, keep improving the server, bullrun has just started and we haven't missed anything yet  ;D

Yeah, initially I just wanted a statistic so we could all understand AltcoinsTalks better, but it could also be useful for bounty managers and hunters. Bounty managers can use these reports to convince projects to agree to launch bounty campaigns on AltcoinsTalks, at least for Social campaigns, then preferably Signature campaigns.

The quality of the forum is very important and I believe it is increasing every day. Discussion content is becoming more serious and useful, which will help the forum gain more views and members in the future.

Great stats. Op

The forum activities and daily postings are looking amazing - we're approaching the bull run and altcoin season, and many projects will be launched and seeking for bounty promotions; with the present numbers, the forum should be able to attract some.

Why do Guest numbers constantly outnumber online users? What is preventing people from signing up.

This is interesting to hear.

Before entering the promotion, and I believe that otherwise, it would be interesting to see. Can someone do a little more detailed analysis, of which threads attracted the most attention or, if possible, which types of discussions had the biggest reach?
Also, which topics brought new visitors through the search engine?

I think we have many Guests on the forum because they come to the forum through searching for information via Google: they just want to read the discussion content and do not want to create an account and participate in the discussion.

Similar data shows that AltcoinsTalks is a website with good rankings in Vietnam, but in the Local Vietnamese forum there are only a few discussion members, meaning that the majority of traffic from Vietnam may only read our Vietnamese topics as a kind of crypto magazine.

Anyway, I believe that gradually, with the return of bullrun, our Guests will soon become official users of AltcoinsTalks.

This is interesting to hear.

I'm also trying to find some data like this. Temporarily, we only know which links are most visited, usually they are the Altcoins section: Dogecoin, Ripple, Solana...

I clicked the link to the January statistics in order to have a clue of the January data and from all indications, each month gets better which means that the growth is consistent and genuine.

Quote
6. Traffic sources:
Direct: 58.67% (-10.47%)
Referral: 8.05% (-6.98%)
Search: 21.97% (+11.52%)
Social: 0.93% (+0.76%)
Mail: 10.39% (+5.18%)
Paid: 0%
From the above traffic sources, where is Bitcointalk classified. I ask because I know Bitcointalk is the highest source of traffic in this forum.

I'm not surprised; most of Vietnam and a huge portion of Indonesia are only interested in bounty and airdrops, not forum discussions, so I'm guessing they're keeping an eye on the bounty section to see when the next bounty will be launched before signing up.

Data is showing that most people in this forum are coming from India, than it is Turkey, Brazil and Philippines.
I dont know if this information  is accurate but I dont see Vietnam or Indonesia listed in top countries.
Most bounties and airdrops are waste of time and some of them are a scam.

I don't know where OP got that information from but Philippines are also known for its participation in bounty and airdrop campaigns. The majority of airdrop groups on Facebook are owned by Filipinos. They rarely participate in forum discussions, but they are a nice number to have.

Surprised to see Brazil on the list and yet they do not have a local community here.

Legitimate bounties and airdrops stopped since 2017- all we have now are comperate scams.

Brazil is a huge country and maybe they are posting in Portuguese local board because they speak the same or very similar language.
I see that countries with large number of poor people are more active here than in other forums, and they are doing everything to earn some money.

Great idea and very informative. I think it will be very helpful to us. I am from Bangladesh and i am seeing here also good position in here. I believe Altcointalk will more popular. Now i am also seeing it popularity and rank world wide going up day by day. So i am very happy to be a member of this fantastic Forum.
And i am very existed and happy to see overall data. When we are seeing it’s engagement increased from previous month. It is big inspiration for all of us.

The other Forum pays more, however it is challenging for newbies. There is considerable flexibility here, and the admin responds to everyone regardless of whether they are new or not. If it comes to making money, "poor" countries would fall towards the other forum since there are more opportunities to earn.

You do not need to quote the entire OP to drop a one liner generic reply.

Yes it is harder for newbies and many people cant register there because of thing called evil fees, and there are many banned users
In this forum it is easier to register and some bitcointalk refuges are welcomed here  ;D
Another advantage is that you can work with mixers here.

Opportunity to work with two different companies at the same time. It's feels good to here everyday. Works so well on mobile ana that's one thing lacking on the other forum.

No need to
I would rather if we can focus on talking about crypto, and discussing the different technical or general aspects of different coins

I believe that every member has the right to speak up and be treated politely on crypto forums, and AltcoinsTalks exists as the most user-friendly forum: Forum has a Court to resolve really serious issues, members can atone for their mistakes by burning forum ALTT tokens. The purpose of the forum is to create a place where everyone can discuss, learn, and gain experience.

If a member can prove that he has some value to the community, he will be accepted and treated kindly ^^
