What do you think about Nigeria as a digital society?
Nigeria is still evolving. Compared to other nations of the world, we are technologically backward but regardless, things are better off compared to what used to be in the past. However, our forefathers who lived without high technology didn't think life was difficult. They embraced every struggle with dignity and respected individuals based on their physical ability.
Today, we can boast of technology which makes life easy. Tasks that took a long time can be completed in seconds. But with the recent push to ban binance I am forced to ask, is Nigeria ready to utilize the digital space?

Nigeria has become a professional digital society. The widespread adoption of technology, particularly smartphones, has transformed the way citizens live, work, and interact.
The impact of technology on commerce is notable, with many Nigerians leveraging digital platforms to buy and sell goods. E-commerce has made it possible for people to shop from the comfort of their homes, with orders being delivered efficiently.
Technology has undoubtedly accelerated various aspects of Nigerian life, and the contributions of citizens in embracing and utilizing digital tools have been instrumental in driving this progress.

Nigeria is not a digital society in my opinion. I can only say that the waves of technology is blowing around Nigeria but it will be total disrespect and disregard to digital societies to say that Nigeria is a digital society.
A lot of things are still done manually, the long queues, poor network, poor electricity, over dependence on offline ways of doing things. Nigeria is still far from being a digital society.
-
I doubt if I can say authoritatively that Nigeria is a digital society. the truth is that Nigeria is not a digital society. What is digital about Nigeria, the economy, payment systems? E-governance? Nigeria is nowhere near a digital society

In the a time like this when the world has become a global village, no country or nation can sustainably develop without technology. A digital economy will not just develop Nigeria, it will also create room for transparency and accountability

What do you think about Nigeria as a digital society?
When compared to other countries, I think Nigeria is still at the early stages of digitalization. There are some progress that have been made , this progress can be seen when we look at how people use the social media platforms to communicate with people around the world, it can also be seen when we look at the mobile banking, etc. But still there is still some big gaps in the area of infrastructure, Internet access as well as digital literacy especially in the rural areas.
So while here are some part in the country that are thriving digitally, a lot of work still have to be done . It's like we are on a path, but we aren't there yet. However I definitely know that we will reach there.
