Whether gambling is legal or illegal depends on the location of each country. For example, gambling in my country is completely illegal, whoever gambles from this country may face administrative trouble if the government finds out about it. Also gambling is illegal in my country if anyone finds out from my country a gambler is not respected by anyone and is always looked down upon. I can't agree with you about football players not being allowed to gamble because a few days ago I saw Neymar lose about 50 million dollars from a single bet. I don't want the news to be false or false but if football players are not allowed to play then how Neymar participated in the game and lost. I don't know for sure if football players are not allowed to gamble.

Gambling is legal depending on your jurisdiction and geopolitical zone so far in my country everyone is permitted to gamble except underage and even most of the underage goes to physical local betting shops to place their bets knowing too well that they would be restricted gambling direct through their website and when huge money is won they could be asked to submit their kyc to pass for them to have access to withdraw money.

For about players well I think this is a natural law that binds with them so that wouldn't pass personal information among themselves or someone playing against their team due to personal interest to cash bit time on their bets. There may be other reason but above is what I thought is the cause why they are limited to gamble.

The country that you live in will determine if gambling is legal or not. In most Islamic countries gambling is illegal, and you dare not gamble in such countries. Online casinos can also restrict the countries that will gamble in their sites, due to some reasons from the country government, or from the casino.

Players are not allowed to gamble because they will allow themselves be controlled by their bet, and that will not bring out the best result in the match. It will kill the fun in the game and the uniqueness of the league.

The legality or illegality of gambling depends on the country. I know that in countries like the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Poland and Cambodia gambling is considered illegal. In my country (Nigeria), gambling is legal.

On the issue of players being prohibited from gambling, I think it is to guard against players fixing matches.

I want to know if gambling is illegal.

Aside from what other people said, few country may make gambling only legal on certain location. For example, gambling is mostly illegal China, but it's legal on Macau (one of special administrative region on China).

And secondly why is football players not allowed to gamble ? Does this means that it is illegal?

The reasoning is similar why insider trading or usage of insider information is illegal.

It depends on your location and how the government looks at gambling, here in our country gambling is legal but regulated, and our government benefits a lot from gambling because they are the one running the casinos and the lotteries all the taxes from bets and winnings the government gets a cut, what is illegal and evil in one country is a blessing and legal in another country.

Do they really are not allowed to gamble? Or they are not allowed to bet on the matches their team takes part in? It is obvious why they are not allowed to bet on the game they take part in, but I have never heard that they are not allowed to gamble. I mean why should they? They are free to do whatever they want with their money.

As to gambling being illegal? Depends on the country, but most countries prefer their local casinos (and licenses) over foreign online casinos. For example my internet provider blocks most of online casinos, but allow all that have country domains. As long as casinos pay taxes, I see nothing illegal that they would do.

Gambling can either be legal or illegal. Legal when it is approved and regulated by the government and otherwise it would be considered as against the law hence illegal. There are many forms of gambling and this is quite true these days because of the proliferation of online platforms offering gambling services to many people. Here in my place, gambling is very much regulated but it does not mean that illegal forms are not flourishing as there are many operators here offering gambling forms to their loyal patrons. Illegal forms are always running from the law enforcers but many are still doing it because the money that can be made in gambling can be good and so attractive. As to the question why "football players not allowed to gamble" I would say that there can be a big conflict of interest with that situation...and that is why sports players are not allowed to get into gambling and rules are quite strict on this matter.

What would be reasons or origin why football players are not allowed to gamble? If they place a bet on their game, then they can lose on purpose or show bad performance to win a bet. That is why thing. But why would a football player not be allowed to play poker or blackjack for example? Sound illogical.

Regards gambling being illegal (in general). Where is the logic behind that? Because it is criticized and has bad reputation? That is not the reason to make something legal or illegal.

The question of regulation is also linked to the debate over whether gambling should be legalized in order to generate income for the government. Some governments consider gambling as a way to produce earnings from taxes, which is then used to pay services to the public. Others feel that this is an unfair approach to fund the government because it frequently harms those who cannot afford to gamble.

Some countries, such as Singapore, have used gambling money to fund social projects and enhance the standard of living for its residents. Others, like as Thailand, have completely prohibited gaming in an effort to combat corruption and criminality. The legality of gambling is sometimes difficult and passionately discussed.

The answer is because if they gamble on their own matches it will increase the opportunities for match fixing. If this really happens then it will really highlight football in the eyes of the world.

However, I also can't confirm whether they are gambling or not, because the only ones who know about their activities are themselves. However, it is clear in the regulations that this is something that is not allowed because if they gamble on their own game, then they will tend to fix the score.

No gambling is not illegal not unless they comply on the governments regulation and stuff. If these gambling sites or establishments are registered then they can operate freely in accordance of the law of a specific country other than that will be deemed illegal.

Maybe it is part of the games rules and regulation. For me one reason why players are not allowed gambling is because of the possibility that they will use force and dirty tricks just to win the game that might also surely ruin the true essence of the game.

What people criticize? If it is about regulation, it can be different among the countries in the world. Not every government bans the gambling, it depends on the regulation in the country. If gambling is legal in the country, the government won't ban gambling.

You can check the information here about the legality of gambling in each country around the world: https://slotegrator.pro/gambling-regulations-map/

And secondly why is football players not allowed to gamble ? Does this means that it is illegal?
No, it doesn't mean gambling is illegal.
If the football players can't gamble, it is because of some reasons. It is the way to protect the career of the footballers. This way also avoid the manipulation or cheating that can happen. However, it seems there is still a chance for the footballers to gamble but it is regulated by certain rules.

If gambling was illegal, it will not just exist or you will be arrested if you are found involved in gambling.  But people do gamble, but the problem is that there is alot of restrictions on gambling and different laws concerning gambling in different countries especially as it concerns under age and gambling abuse or gambling.

Football players are not allowed to gamble in football betting because the players determine the outcome of the match. They can't actually be a judge in their own case, else they will just score an own goal to determine their favourable result.

For some places it is, some places it is not. And even further complicating things, there are some nations with some allowed gambling and not allowed gambling. For example here in Turkiye, we have gambling and some of them are legal, like for example sports betting is legal here, which is why I believe that you can gamble here, fully legally. But to further complicate things, casinos are not allowed for example, or I think any casino games, like you can't play slots here, or even play slots online in any place. Which means that its illegal to play those games. So there are further stuff and I think that's why its complicated.

Gambling is prohibited but the extent of the ban varies from country to country.  Gambling is completely illegal in our country Bangladesh and gambling has been declared banned by the government.  A gambler in my country is usually criticized and his family is always looked down upon.  Gambling is a religious taboo in our country and one of the main motives behind government bans on gambling is that it goes against social norms or norms, so gambling has been outlawed in parliament so far.  Moreover, the amount of loss in gambling is more than the profit and the government will never accept responsibility for these losses so it is natural that the government must formulate a prohibition policy before taking such a big risk.

As far as I am concerned, gambling can never be an illegal activity, we can never stick to what a government wants to implement, things don't work like that, this is something we must always consider, it is illegal if the country does it. wants to make it illegal, for the most conservative it could be taken as an illegal activity but it is not, if you are not harming anyone I can't find a reason why it is illegal, there are really things in the world that should not be illegal and now It's out there circulating and being launched like the most normal thing in the world.

Eproses sometimes consider that gaming activities are illegal, but they say this because they have never played it, they have never had that experience, it is very easy to talk about what you don't know and repeat what others say, it is better to have judgment before talking about something, that's why the countries that prohibit them, sooner or later the deaths come to light and become normal.

Gambling is not illegal but in many countries it is been regulated, if a country decides to ban a gambling firm I think it is for a reason, is either such firm is been used for dubious activity, I want you to understand that what you fund as a gambler is your wallet and this wallet can be used for laundering of money depending on the gambling platform deposit limit, so before you'd hear that a gambling firm was banned, you should make thorough investigation to ascertain the exact event that led to such act of the government on them, sometimes it can be that they are flaring government laws on task or they are not paying tax.
Football players are not allowed to play because gambling is an emotional thing, just imagine if you staked a game and you are a player in such match, you will want to do everything possible to make sure that your stake worked accordingly and this too can cause you injury because of your over anxiousness to win the bet.

As far as I know gambling is illegal in major Islamic countries including Pakistan because gambling will never be legalized due to religious sentiments. Gambling is also illegal in my Bangladesh and participating in gambling here is considered a social crime as well as a state crime. However, no matter how much it is banned, online gambling is currently becoming an overnight business in our country. Most of the online are unemployed youth group and school college youthInclusion of young women is damaging the future of the students as well as causing considerable damage to their careers. The guardians of our country are very concerned about the current state of online gambling and live in worry about the future of their children.

If it is related to illegal or illegal regulations and regulations, of course it will depend on each country. In my country, Indonesia, gambling is illegal and restricted, both offline and online gambling. The government and authorities often carry out investigations regarding this matter, especially since there are many cases related to online gambling that occur in our country.

No, in the country I live in, gambling is clearly visible but online. Offline gambling is immediately subject to inspection by the government and police, bookies and gamblers also go straight to prison if caught gambling offline.
Online gambling is very popular, the website is not blocked by the government or after being blocked it comes back with a different website. But it's true that basically in my country gambling is prohibited because it may have more negative effects than positive effects.

Football players are prohibited from gambling apparently because of the focus effect. Football players should focus on the game of football, strategy, recovery after the match and various things in the football environment.
From a material perspective, this footballer definitely has a very large salary and no longer needs to earn money by gambling. Or maybe if you want to have fun, this footballer can play other sports such as motocross, etc.

Yeah currently, only a few countries have received permission and are registered with the government regarding the use of online or offline gambling venues, including your country, which strictly prohibits gambling because of several very strong religious factors. However, from the explanation you gave that there are people who wear clothes with betting site logos, I think they have been gambling without anyone knowing, and they have managed to get a lot of profit, so they like wearing clothes with gambling site logos.

First and foremost, gambling will be considered illegal if it is not regulated by the government and they don't secure the necessary papers to make it legal, at least that is the requirement here in our country.

About the football players banned from betting, i think that should be the way as games involving them will be considered rigged as they have the hand on the outcome of the game.

I heard in some countries people are not allowed to gamble due to their rules and regulations but I don't think gambling is an illegal activity because it's a game of choice, no one is scamming of taking your money from you forcefully, just like how people prefer to sit back and watch a soccer game or basketball game some people prefer to just gamble to blow off some steam and have fun. Gambling can only become a problem when it's an addiction and that is a matter of choice

Gambling is actually not illegal from a general sense, because it's a game of choice. I am not sure of any country that is gambling free. The government might decide to restrict a gambling platform from it's own citizens, but that doesn't mean that the gambling platform won't be available for other countries. I personally don't see any problem in gambling, as long as it is been done moderately. It's a game of choice that gamblers can benefit from, but there must be something of value to stake.

It's actually forbidden for football players to place a bet on any football kind of game, but I don't know about other sports. The reason is that, they are actually the ones on the pitch, so they can easily manipulate their own match. Let me give you an example. Assuming that I am a football player, and I play for team A as a goalkeeper. If I am to place a bet, I can bet on my team to concede 5goals, by intensionally allowing goals to enter the net, but in a more professional way. I hope you get my point.

Gambling legality depends on what country you are in because each country has different laws about gambling and has its own rules based on their culture, religion, and laws. Some allow and regulate gambling, while others ban it due to concerns about addiction, money issues, or religious beliefs.
