Judge Denies Coinbase Dismissal Request; CEO Hails Win for Self-Custody Wallets

New York Judge Katherine Polk Failla has ruled that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has “sufficiently pleaded” its case and the lawsuit will move forward. See more for yourself here (https://news.bitcoin.com/judge-rules-against-coinbase-in-key-dismissal-motion-in-sec-lawsuit/).

Your opinion is greatly appreciated.

It took me a while to understand the article until I realized that Coinbase also launched a self-custody wallet. There is another article that helped me understand it better:

Coinbase Wallet Takes on SEC and Wins Big – A New Era for DeFi? (https://cryptohead.io/news/coinbase-wallet-takes-on-sec-and-wins-big-a-new-era-for-defi/)

I think this is good news and I would like to see legal precedents for this in the EU, because although it is not clear, it seems that the legislators on the subject are not too fond of self-custody wallets.
