I am surprised how Karma is. Even merit on Bitcointalk is kind of easier to get than the Karma of Altcoinstalks, despite that you can send many Karma to people without no effect.
I think people know how to send Karma except people of lower rank that do not even see the Karma at all. But once they rank up and their account have that feature, it is not hard to become noticable. What I think more about is that some people may just prefer to come and post and leave for that day until tomorrow to repeat the same.
It is not dat dem no wan give karma or dem no like system but many people we I know dey tok say dem dey fear di admin because since na only him dey see weti dey happen and if dem give karma to people like dat admin go come shey dem dey abuse di karma system so to avoid all dis, dem like to stay on their own. Agree, the amount of Karma on this forum is very free without any limits, unlike other cryptocurrency forums which have limits on the amount of karma for new users and old users who have a lot of karma, only karma sources can get karma easily. That is it although usually I can see that we have less people active here unlike the other forum where everyone already used to it and if we keep coming here to discuss here could be a better place but since there is less interaction or since most people hardly make used of the karma option it makes it very hard for them to scale up here. Cantsay you did well for bringing this list to the local board, but but I think it will be more appreciated if the list that is posted here in the local board only contain names of member from the Nigeria local board on the karma list instead of a full copy paste from the original general forum karma updates.

This is true, but for me I don’t think I ever got pressured to try to earn karma because right from when I came to the forum I have never received any notification about karma due to my telegram account being faulty, so that thrill of getting notified and knowing the amount of karma has never been there - I only get to see my karma after making a post.

You know sometimes people like to get such notifications as it relates to them receiving karma on the platform for their inputs in conversation. The karma system is somewhat similar to the merit system on the other platform, but the only difference is that karma is free and can be given by any body as long as they meet the rank requirement, whereas merit can be given by anybody, even if they have sendables with them, and there is no limit to whom it could be given on both platforms.If they don't enable it there is no way to get notifications and of which this should be a thing of concern like I said, natural when someone began to visible here and join in most the discussion it's much more easier for them to get karma. This is true, but for me I don’t think I ever got pressured to try to earn karma because right from when I came to the forum I have never received any notification about karma due to my telegram account being faulty, so that thrill of getting notified and knowing the amount of karma has never been there - I only get to see my karma after making a post.

Getting karma will become much necessity to members when it’s been used as a system or tool for ranking up and getting to a particular rank, if not, people will not find it worthy even though it represents whether the user is a good or bad poster according to the what the positive and negative karma means. Like me, I have only received one notification of negative karma and most times the positive ones after I became more active than before. Given karma has never been an issue to me, I give more than I receive and I think it’s just a way of encouragement to enhance good post by users in the forum.
