Title: Positive gambling experience
Post by: luckyledger on April 03, 2024, 04:08:50 AM
We talk so much about gambling issues here that I wanted to talk about a positive experience you've had with responsible gambling?
How did you overcome potential pitfalls?

Or just tell funny stories that happened to you while you were gambling  ;D

I usually bet on cricket and football games the most. But my bet amount is small, but I bet on every game. In the beginning I had losses and I was very tired because of betting on every match I had. And since then I quit betting every month as per the opinion of different people and I bet on the matches I am more experienced about.  My brain fails to give me the right advice when I should never bet out of stress.

I have had different experiences with gambling ranging from laugh and frown, cry and calm, happiness and sadness, winning and losing, and excitement and anger. Every gambler at a point must experience such. It is part of the game. I have been able to pay bills from winning from gambling which brings excitement and hope that gambling is profitable.

I have had a funny experience. That is, there was a time I played a game and the game wasn't going as I predicted so I cashed out the game. Sadly, well I find it funny, immediately I cashed out, the team I gave winning scored and went ahead to win the game. I just smiled because I had profited from the cash out already.

It's not really the best time to talk about positive gambling after my recent loss ;D Anyway, the experience had been good overall because I able to control/limit my losses by managing my bankroll well. Sometimes I still experience a bad beat or almost winning until a late goal but I'm used to it now. It's one of those days when you say it is what it is.

I havent thought about it before, but I think if I calculate and compare all the money I have deposited on different platforms and withdrawn, then I think I am in profit. This isnt a great fortune, but I think I manage to increase deposited body by 5-10% in most cases. If I add everything that I get in form of faucet, rewards and won from various competitions, then I am definitely in profit and winning against casinos.

I am the opposite of you, because I feel that the money I deposit and withdraw may be a larger amount that I deposit, although overall I don't know the exact amount.

However, I can still gamble because I have limits when depositing money. I never gamble with money that I am not prepared to gamble with. That's something I always take care of so that I don't lose something I can't afford to lose. However if I had followed my emotions then perhaps I would have lost a lot by now.

In my case, the most positive thing is making money, in the winning sessions. And not getting out of control when I lose, chasing losses and losing my mind. When I am going to bet a session in casino games, I give the money that I am going to bet as lost, as spent in leisure, just as if you were going to the movies or to dinner out there. The nice thing is when you come out of there with a nice jackpot.

Yeah, we have positive things to say when we win, but we scream "scam" when we lose ;D
I think gambling can broaden our knowledge if we try to understand probability, house edge, how the brain works, etc., it may not instantly affecting our future but it can be beneficial if you know a lot of stuff.

It’s funny how the universe decided to play a prank on you right after you cashed out.
But hey, you still ended up with a win, and that’s a reason to smile  ;D
Cheers to navigating the ups and downs with a good sense of humor and a knack for timely cash-outs!

Your ability to maintain a positive outlook, even in the face of losses, is commendable. It’s a great reminder that managing expectations and staying disciplined can lead to a healthier relationship with gambling. Keep up the good work!

Yeah it can be beneficial on the positive side like our decision making skills. That is why most gamblers I know is smart about computation and making decisions. Gambling is for me a brainy exercise because in our minds we are trying to beat the system even though we already know we only have two choices and that is winning and losing.

The positive side is that it gives you rime to broaden your knowledge on the game that you love to gamble with, and after much analysis, when you win your bet, you feel like a genius. However, gambling is a game of luck, and I have been addicted before, so for me to be able to understand what gambling is, and came out from my addictions is a good thing to me. I have a gamble budget, and have time limit for gambling, to enable me manage my losses and control myself.

Speaking of positive gambling experience, I feel like crying  :'(.  Doe, I have had some wins this week, but I lost a game that I almost counted as win, I bet on my sporty bet app, and I stake on five games, where four have entered and remaining the last game which was going well, and my brother told me to cash out, the available balance, but out of greed I didn't, to cut the long story short, I lost that game at die minutes.

I think mine would be not to actually doubt yourself or thought when gambling, being skeptical about gambling is something that will just spoil your luck and even make you crazy when it comes to the final results and you see that what you actually first think of playing or sometimes even the money you intended in using for the game was slice down because of fear and at end you found out that everything was according to how first pictured it.

I also found positives in gambling, I gambled profitably as long as I kept myself in check. I actually used to bet on cricket and having good ideas about cricket I was very profitable at one time and won matches regularly. But my downfall started when I got too greedy and started giving importance to the prediction of others. So gambling has seen many positives, bad times, funny times that still remind me of my mistakes.

I just need to constantly realize and understand what gambling is all about and the need to control my urge to gamble and the money I spend on it.

If we won, definitely there is a positive feeling about it. Or just watching your favorite sports and then you have stake on that game and you bet on the team that is the underdog and won. Funny story is that I have my last money, just around 10$ and decided to go to bet on roulette on my birth date, and it won me as roulette is paying x36. And there are games in the NBA wherein you think that you have lost your bet already as the other teams is having a huge lead like 20+ points and suddenly your team wake up in time claw back and win that game for you.

I asked a question, are there positive experience in gambling? To me I feel that, gambling does not have a positive experience attached to it.Any gambler will tell you how much they lose per day in gambling, so I don't think that losing is a positive experience. Because gambling you lost more and gain less.

I agree, it's already a given fact that's why I don't see any positive things that gambling can bring to us. Yeah, if we got the win maybe, but that will only last for what a few hours and then you go back to gambling again.

But what if you lose that money that you just have won?

So that is a big swing as far as emotions goes, from winning big to losing everything, from happiness to sadness and that could be bad for our mentality to be honest.

It's worth noting that finding something positive in any situation, including gambling, often depends on how we look at it. It's about the experience, the thrill of the play, and occasionally, the personal victory in making smart choices or simply enjoying the moment. Finding the good in things, including gambling, means focusing on these experiences and maintaining a balanced view.

That's the spirit! Your stories capture the essence of what can make gambling so exhilarating. Winning against the odds, especially when it's connected to personal choices or moments like betting on your birth date, or sticking by an underdog team creates unforgettable experiences. It’s these moments of unexpected joy and the thrill of the comeback that can turn a small bet into a memorable victory. Sure, it's important to gamble responsibly, especially when it's your last bit of cash, but it's those wins, big or small, that remind us of the excitement and unpredictability of life. Plus, the rollercoaster of emotions watching a game where the tide turns in your favor is something truly special.
It’s stories like these that show there can be positive, thrilling moments in gambling, beyond just the financial gain :)

I also found positives in gambling, I gambled profitably as long as I kept myself in check. But my downfall started when I got too greedy and started giving importance to the prediction of others. That's a really valuable insight. It sounds like when you leaned into your own knowledge and passion for cricket, gambling was not only enjoyable but profitable for you. It highlights an important aspect of gambling, the balance between skill, knowledge, and the unpredictable nature of betting. The journey through the ups and downs, the wins and the lessons learned, is what makes the gambling experience rich and multifaceted. Your story underlines the importance of self awareness and sticking to what you know best. And that mix of positives, challenges, and those unforgettable moments that gambling has brought into your life.

I disagree with you on this one, gambling have both positive and negative experiences, aside for the fun, and hubby most people do it for, let's be realistic the main aim for gambling is to win, which is the positive part of gambling.
But nevertheless it also has a negative experience which is loosing, because gambling is based on luck. If you ask most gamblers to tell you about their positive experiences they've had so far in gambling, they will count only their wins for you which is fun.
In conclusion the positive experience of gambling is the winning aspect.

Well, the only positive thing that happen when gambling is when we win substantial amount of money but that amount would be gone in thin air if we continue gambling so i consider it somewhat not a positive thing, neutral for me.

I lose more in gambling than I win. It doesn't bother me too much because I keep myself under control as much as possible. I don't cross my limits. I don't even expect to win when gambling. I like to gamble even if I loss. I use maximum 10% income money. I am not addicted to gambling although my losing ratio is high which is a good thing for me. Sometimes I get some relatively big wins among my losses. Overall my losses are a bit high but within my limits so I have no problem with gambling which I consider a positive experience.

Winning big is awesome but you're right, it's easy for that to slip away if we're not careful. I like how you're keeping a balanced view on it, seeing it as neutral rather than all good or bad. It shows you're keeping things in check, which is super important. It's cool that you can enjoy the wins without letting gambling take over.
