Title: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin?
Post by: bosshyip on July 07, 2018, 10:02:19 AM
There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???

Yes, I agree. For now, I don't think an altcoin can easily replace bitcoin as the leading crypto with high market value. Though Ethereum has a great potential to.be the one, but probably it would take 5 to 10 years to wait, depending on how it is widely use.

I think BTC can be replaced too, maybe about 11 years to come. If a popular person is able to come out with a coin, with a very great project behind it, It can replace BTC. Starting now to the 11th year. Which coin is on your mind? ETH right?

I agree and the one who will replace bitcoin is ETH.Because it placed second. Ethereum never had the intention to have a value like bitcoin, but investors invested anyway spotting the opportunity. If we talk about the growth of Ethereum this past year, we can surely see that it has grown to more than 4000% while bitcoin has grown about 600%.

Since from the start of cryptocurrency and up to now bitcoin really dominates cryptocurrency and it is proven for many years that bitcoin stays above of all cryptocoins in the market. Also it really differs in terms value and popularities. Many of us really believes at bitcoin but we cannot deny that many altcoins now are soaring high because they gain the trust of the people who are engage at cryptocurrency. Good technology really matters, that's why many altcoins now are going strong at the market like ethereum, litecoin and neo because they have good technologies that are very useful in crypto world. The potential of those altcoins are very high and i will not be amaze that in the future one of those altcoins can compete or surpass bitcoin in the future if bitcoin can't come up a good innovation of their technology.

Replacing of bitcoin is inevitable. This works like every few years the technology keep improve like windows 98 to windows 10 once the technology get obsolete  it can be replace by its competitors, maybe bitcoin will still be able to stand its ground for a few more years once another coin technology is able to win bitcoin by some amount it will slowly be replace.

I agree, now there is definitely no coin that could replace Bitcoin and I think that such a coin is unlikely to appear in the near future. Moreover, we all know that the prices for all cryptocurrencies depend on the price of Bitcoin and with its growth other coins start to grow, so it will be difficult to overtake it. In addition, the support and community of Bitcoin is very large and it is constantly growing and developing, thanks to this, Bitcoin is developing. The news that went out recently shows what Bitcoin has the potential and how quickly it develops. Really agree, Bitcoin has a usage that eth cannot do. Bitcoin is created before any other coin and there can be no other better coin than bitcoin. The creator of bitcoin only can design coin that can replace bitcoin because he knows what will make the coin to improve and make it more better than their first created one. The foundation cannot be replace of anyone because other coin created under it.

Yes I agree with you that there is a tendency that bitcoin will be superseded with other coins. But for me its not that easy bitcoin to be replace it takes more time and for sure people will not allow it to happen. Right now the best competitor of bitcoin are the haters and the government who bans bitcoin.

Maybe it is true that there will be a substitute for bitcoin in the future. And I think for altcoins that are likely to replace bitcoin is ethereum, because ethereum is a very potential coin.

I thing the form of question is incorrect. Bitcoin as the phenomenon which changed  the world (and continue to change), economics, people's mind can not be replaced. Many users hold bitcoin not just for a hope to resell it on higher price, they believe in its liquidity.
