for crypto holders in 2018, I think it will still be held by bitcoin, because I feel bitcoin still has high popularity.

I think in 2018 we will hold, bitcoin, ethereum, neo and litecoin, because for us it's also a good way we get more profits.

Too hard to predict but with the current rate, bitcoins seems to be increasing lately. Other coins also has potential such as EOS which just increasing continuously its price.

Roll the dice and take your chances, but as has been mentioned already, I think you'd be silly to ignore the big players. Holding 60% of your portfolio in Bitcoin and Ethereum would be the sensible move, maybe 20% in Neo and Litecoin, then 20% spread over another 5-8 coins. That way you're spreading your risk, but still have the potential to make some decent money. For the record, my 5-8 coins (or tokens) would include at least some of the following: Monetha, Divi, Golem, Safex, Substratum, Chainlink and Stratis. They cover a broad spectrum of industry between them, and some are obviously more high risk than others, but that's why the variety is there.

exciting.... I also think that bitcoin and maybe eth will make it... bitcoin of course, like some of you also posted, has a really high popularity and (I feel like - don't blame me I'm not for ages into crypto  :D) bitcoin has increased lately, so bc is a big player here .... and will probably make it... eth is also a strong player ... so I think these two will definitely be part of the winners in 2018. :) good evening

Winning is such a big word and would need some kind of pre-definition what is actually meant by using it. Highest market share/spead/highest value/biggest buzz is going to go for BTC for all eternity, which is kind of directly connected to the veins of the whole technology. If we look at it at a closer and more specific level, any kind of currency which was able to secure its long-term existence...even of being coopted by state actors.... is also kind of winning, cause - besides the fact that it pushes the technology and its acceptance further - becoming a part of daily life and normalizing crypto is a big goal, which would help any coin.

It is still too early to tell. A lot of things could happen in the last 2 months of the year. I think there will be a huge bounce on top altcoins.

Who will be the winner and will always be the winner of course bitcoin. This is no longer a secret. The volume of the bitcoin market is very large and the price is always high compared to altcoin.

I think the king of coins will still be the winner in crypto currency. But, for altcoin it's still hard to match bitcoin. But I'm sure there will be several altcoins that will benefit later in the year. My predictions are Ripple and Eth.

Depends on how much the rising cryptocurrency is.
Suppose COIN A from number 50 then rises to number 15 in coinmarketcap, then I can conclude that the COIN A is the winner.

Yes, being a winner doesn't have to be in position 1. I agree with that @ jonathancool220. The winner is he who can jump high from his previous position. I still suspect Waves or Dogecoin will be the winner this year.

I think maybe Bitcoin remains the best, because with a large total capitalist who can defeat all altcoins.
The value is very difficult to pursue altcoins if you see the value of Bitcoin like this: $ 112,684,424,650

If what you mean to be a winner is a coin that can give a profit, then I will say Ripple. In the past year, this coin was great, Ripple surprised many people because this coin could skyrocket. And a few days ago, this coin increased by more than 40% which means that this coin has the chance to become a winner this year.

Bitcoin will be victorious in 2018. Because Bitcoin is selling all cryptocurrency purchases. Bitcoin now holds the top position in the market. Bitcoin investment is made more because it is more in profit than a jump in the second. So I think Bitcoin will be the best in 2018.

Hi @cryptothief, can you elaborate more about the SAFEX coin? I read about this currency in the article https://coindeal.com/news/results-of-the-9th-voting and I was surprised that so many users voted for the currency which I do not know at all! It looks very popular. I see that you have published a post related to it, can you share your experience with this currency? Have you already invested in it?

What do you mean by winning coins? If you mean coins with popularity and are in the first place on the coinmarket, then I will choose Bitcoin. Why? Of course we already know that bitcoin has been considered the parent of altcoins and also that bitcoin already has a large popularity in the world so that everyone starts to be attracted to it.

Yes, you very correct here, Bitcoin has been first and stll maintaining that position at the coinmarketcap table. I don't think there are coins that may take that position for now. 2018 has been bearish for all coins and it may not be appropriate to call results or get a winner because there are many yard stick to apply in this regard.

When it comes co winning coins - just for a heads up - there is a contest o coindeal.com platform where you can win 1 000 000 ECA. This is due to beginning of the cooperation with ECA project. The rules are simple. If you are interested please visit their web page or facebook profile.

I think it could be ripple once they fixed banks and people's formulas. If they win their approval ripple will rise and possible the winner coin this 2018.

There are 2 categories of wins in my opinion. First if seen from the rank, second if seen from the amount of profit given. When viewed from the ranking, I still think bitcoin will be the winner. But when viewed from profit, I think Ripple will still be a shocking coin.

I'm not an expert but in terms of quick flips the FuturoCoin gives me a nice profit cause the changes in its price are dynamic. In terms of rank, it is maybe not the well known coin but it is listed already on 8 exchanges - most recently on CryptoStock by DARB - check here: https://newsroom.futurocoin.com/fto-listed-on-the-8th-exchange-platform/

According to my monitoring, it is good for long-term investments, namely Bitcoin and ETH because both coins often bring sustenance to those who have invested there. Bitcoin until now there are still many who are amazed by the norms that continue to produce sweet results for investors who invest in Bitcoin.

I personally am more interested in investing in altcoin, Terutana ethereum, the simple ethereum reason that is easy to reach (in terms of price) ethereum is accepted by many, ethereum often experiences fluctuations in value and ethereum is often used as an alternative to bitcoin as moneycurrency.

That is a good thing, although in recent months ethereum has continued to reduce prices but investor confidence in ethereum has never diminished. This will be a good investment place.

In my humble opinion, BTC is no longer an investment for regular players like us. Big business, big corporations, whales, even governments like Canada and China got interested in it - and there rumors about the price manipulation... That's why I think that only altcoins allow you to earn something. I would choose FTO for investing because it is relatively new and already has many supporters, and the prices are still good.

Of course bitcoin, Bitcoin is in a favorable position for people who are interested in getting a price advantage, Bitcoin does not discriminate. You can use it in the world, to send information almost instantly, almost for free. Transferring Bitcoin is only a few cents and you can send as many as possible. It is important to remember that Bitcoin cannot be faked or duplicated. The above cherries are transactions carried out by peer-to-peer methods, without banks or third parties to resolve them.

I am sure the top 5 coins in the coinmarketcap will advance as winners in crypto in 2018 and include: bitcoin ethereum, ripple, stellar. but I still doubt about BCH because at the end of this year they did hardfork and produced BCHSV and BCHABC

IF by winner meaning who will be nr.1 in coinmarketcap? Bitcoin will be a clear winner, its the most popular ,trust coin with a good stability of price, all altcoins all affect the price of BTC.
