There's lots of reasons. People are afraid to do anything new, afraid to lose money, afraid to making bad decisions or to fail. Many people also have already made up their minds that cryptocurrency is a scam or a ripoff or wont ever go anywhere or whatever, mostly due to the media filling their head with these lies. People don't even understand how blockchain technology works, so it's easy to dismiss it as unreal.

You must know, not everyone uses technology so their knowledge of bitcoin is weak. besides, developing countries like Asia don't know what bitcoin is. because that is why many people are skeptical about investing in coins.
