Title: Stay away from crypto ponzis!
Post by: Findingnemo on April 16, 2024, 09:11:54 AM
Whenever the market is being bullish you can see lot of investment schemes to invest your cryptos which claims to provide unrealistic returns.

Crypto itself and investment and 99.9% of the time when someone ask you invest money like send money to an address and you will get 10% everyday or there are extreme cases who convince you that you will double the money you send instantly are obvious scams.

I am creating this thread after seeing an Instagram post that claimed exactly what I said above. Please be aware and stay away from scammers.

It's not only Cryptocurrency Ponzi but anything that has the model of the Ponzi Scheme whether in Crypto or fiat, nobody should invest in a Ponzi scheme it has been proven that in a Ponzi scheme, only the admin and the early birds are the ones to make money it's sustainability depends on the flow of money coming in.

Once there is no money coming in anymore the admin will run away with all the money, there is no business model for a Ponzi scheme so its better to stay on a platform that is similar to a Ponzi scheme.

Most of the people being scammed allowed for such when they express their greediness towards an offer because of high pay involved, we cannot deceive ourself on what is not it and expect it to become it, anything that looks too real to be true should not take chance on us and we should as well avoid making haste decision without making research at first with gambling, this is how we should expect for such.

Even though it's very old method still the number of people falling for ponzi scams are quite high, if there is no scope for this scammers then why would they agressively promoting their ads in this time.

What surprises me is that some people who got scammed in a similar way is trusting again and again to invest their money. This is result of greediness for sure but how the government can let these scammers to operate with complete freedom in most part of the world.

Unfortunately, too many people do not know what a Ponzi scheme is, and even fewer understand what cryptocurrencies actually are, which means that scammers have a very easy task. When we look at all the news about failed projects, fake exchanges, phishing and everything else that scammers use, it is clear that it is a very profitable business that succeeds precisely because there are a huge number of people who simply do not know what they are doing.

As long as such things are not taught in schools, unfortunately there will be no changes in society - and a successful scam always requires a scammer and a naive victim - when (if) there are no more such people, then neither scammers will be active anymore.

The scam of bring one and collect two has been in existence for a very long time even outside the cryptocurrency industry. But I am surprised that people are still falling for such kind of well-known scam. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is the basics of Ponzi. But one funny thing is that some people will know that what they are into is Ponzi scheme, yet they would want to continue because they are early adopters and as they will say they will cash out before the system will crash. Ponzi is not a good system to adopt.

Now that bull run is by the corner, many Ponzi schemes will spring up to rob people their hard earned coins since bear market.

You just remind of the days I started crypto and when I know nothing about this crypto of a thing but I have been hearing of Bitcoin and some top 10 coins how people make money from them and because I personalize my Google information, they give me ads based on what I search, so I do see a lot of guys post about crypto and how they make money from crypto investment, you see them with flashy cars, expensive Bugatti and Ferrari and it obvious to me that these pictures and profits that are been posted is too good to be real. I later did my research and they are bunch of scammers. We have many of them pretending to be successful investors and crypto firms.

During bull season many creators create their projects with the hope that bull season will move their projects to a higher level but most of the creators just want to earn money with the help of their scam projects.

Some people get trapped in scam projects due to hope of getting rich quickly. The better way to avoid these scams is during the bull season we have to invest only in top or previously proved successful projects and if we get involved in Ponzi scheme then it will be our big mistake which will lead to big loss.

There are so many Ponzi schemes and there have been so many Ponzi schemes in crypto world. The amount of Ponzi schemes increase during the bull run because it's the bull run's time when everyone talks about crypto and gets interested in it.

Only awareness can save us from such Ponzi schemes because the ones who create such schemes only target those investors who aren't aware about such schemes and without proper awareness one can never spot that something is fishy.

I think airdrops are much better in comparison to these kind of ponzi schemes though airdrops are not guaranteed profitable but atleast we don't waste our money. Sad to say there are still a lot of people who fell in this kind of investments nowadays, I just don't know why they are not getting the lessons from the past mistakes I think once is enough. 😅

Stay away from crypto ponzis!
Exactly, watch out of this kind of ponzi scheme. Because of that, there will definitely be, and there will definitely be lots of them popping up wrapped in various concepts, both old and new, both with old and new trends. especially now, there is still a lot of popularity regarding meme coins and AI projects, it seems like maybe it won't be far from that. Unless there are other trends that emerging.

Whenever the market is being bullish you can see lot of investment schemes to invest your cryptos which claims to provide unrealistic returns.
I'm always thinking about new people getting involved in the crypto space. Usually, they are the ones who will become victims, indeed not all of them, but most of the victims are beginners. Moreover, those who are quite greedy, not alert, and who expect instant high profits, are very easily deceived by all these Ponzi schemes. However, from year to year, there will still be many people who become victims. Even though we are increasingly promoting education regarding the dangers of crypto ponzi, it seems meaningless.

It is just for new altcoins got from new projects. If we don't want to join Ponzi, we just stay away from the new altcoins. Old top coins are the best choice if we want to avoid Ponzi, Ethereum is the most ideal altcoin besides Bitcoin. If we just focus on investing in BTC and ETH, there is no way to get Ponzi. Even, there are many people who only focus on Bitcoin investment because they don't believe in altcoins due to too many Ponzi cases.

We have to be wary of very easy investment schemes, because we all know that getting money itself is not easy. Ponzi is still very popular today, and their targets are people with low knowledge so that it is easy for victims to do whatever the perpetrator of the Ponzi fraud says.

In essence, don't easily believe promises made by someone regarding the ease of getting money with little risk. It could be indicated as a scam.

As a form of cryptocurrency friendship with newbies and professionals, it's a good idea to remind everyone who is often the target of fraud. We help them with brief education so that they don't fall into the trap of fraudsters.

We should always remember that when a program is offering skyrocketing ROI then it can possibly just be another scam. Right now, I am always reading many DMs in Twitter or X telling me to invest on this and that but I am already so sure they are just scams and once you got into their trap you will certainly be losing the money you supposedly invested, When something can be too good to be true then we should start to doubt. Scammers are working hard and double time these days when cryptocurrency is already being talked in the mainstream media and new people are coming in everyday. The big problem is really the lack of education so that newbies can be easily swayed in an appeal for their greed. Ponzi schemes have been here for so many years and yet there are still people who became willing victim and it is all because we are thinking of what we can get without realizing what we can lost. Aside from Ponzi type of scams, there are also many forms of frauds happening everyday in the market and one thing for sure these people can be so creative in their traps so we should be aware of them and should share them to our friends so they won't be victimized by these evil people.

People fall for scams for two main reasons ignorance(naiveity) and greed. The funny thing is many victims have been pre warned about such but they chose either way because they saw fake evidence or a friend says it's legit without even doing their own research.
Ponzi is not limited just to crypto, it happens locally in various countries mine is an example.Forsage hype brought me to cryptocurrency.Though I didn't invest due to my paranoia but was almost tempted due to the testimonies but overcame it by buying and involuntarily keeping my ETH since I kinda misplaced the key. But it all turnout for good..
The essence is even with all this warning who would fall would still but I guess we can't stop trying.

Agreed, greed is one of the loopholes that can be exploited by fraudsters against potential victims. Keep in mind that fraudsters are usually smart people, but they abuse their skills to deceive and harm other people. They also definitely have a target who will be their victims, one of which is greedy people, beginners and many more.

We must always think logically, especially since the OP said that the profit that will be obtained is a very large amount which does not make sense.

For me, people who have been around for a long time and are experienced and also have knowledge about crypto, they will be able to avoid Ponzi schemes like that.

First of all, once you invest your money in an online platform, the danger is already present, so you need carefully choose which platform is worth investing on. People who are in crypto and people who know can be two different people. As I said in my previous post people keep falling for Ponzi back to back also happening and this won't be possible if they acquired knowledge related to crypto investing.

There are only two real investments that we can trust to get crypto in return for investing our crypto. One is staking on exchanges which gives 5-8% returns per year and casino bankroll investments which gives returns based on the casino's profits.

If you are greedy, no matter how smart and careful you are, scammers will find a way to deceive you, so stop being greedy and learn to research and ask before you invest.

Being greedy is the most harmful behavior which will create difficulties for you in the way of success, and a greedy person cannot get his desired profit because his wishes increase day by day  due to which he misses to take his deserved profit too.

Your Knowledge will be hidden by your prominent greediness and your experience will not work for you therefore if you overcome your greed you can get what you want.

If someone learns so much but he has no control over his greediness then there is no use of such knowledge and all things will just be time wasting.

I believe that knowledge can help curb blind greed in this market. When investors understand staking rewards, they will not fall into traps related to staking with unreasonably high APRs. When they know that Tron has a TRX token, they will not buy scam tokens with the ticker TRONX. When they know that it is very difficult to invest and make a profit in this market, investors will not send 1 ETH hoping to receive 2 ETH...

The traps in the crypto market are becoming increasingly sophisticated, involving both browser malware and fake tokens on DEXs to steal users' assets. It is difficult for us to be wary of them, but Ponzi schemes are often easier to spot due to their unreasonable returns. Investors only need to do a little research or ask someone with a bit of experience in the crypto market to avoid these Ponzi schemes.

Interestingly, in many cases, even though they know it is a Ponzi scheme, many people still participate in the hope of making a quick profit and then withdrawing and pushing the risk onto latecomers!

I have come to notice that Ponzi investment scams don't have specific targets. Different people are usually attracted to them due to the massive scam offers that come as profits. The major people who are easily attracted are newcomers who are new to the crypto space and would love to get rich overnight. Something funny about this is that newcomers tend to have a higher chance of coming across such scams than those who are already in the crypto game.

Scammers have been using this method of defrauding people for a long time because they continue to profit from it. I am too a victim of this type of fraud, however I have discovered that this too good to be true project is a scam. Just think what their investment strategy is and why they give out 10% every day. I literally don't understand how people tend to believe stories that are too good to be true. Why on earth would a person offer a 10% investment reward daily? People have to learn that crypto Ponzi schemes are questionable, and proper research must be done whenever one comes across such schemes. Moreover, there are several coins to invest in rather than looking for a shortcut to success.

One thing I've learned in crypto to avoid being scammed is to buy a token or a coin in a trusted exchange such as Binance. Even though they only list good coin but this doesn't mean that all coins are worth investing for a long time. Not all the time the investors will stay to them especially if they noticed that the project are only good at telling their plan. So we have to do a research to a coin we want to invest in to get a higher chance of making huge profit in the long run.

Yeah since it is a trusted exchange then it offers reliable and trusted coins as well. Though it is still risky due to the fact that crypto is volatile it is still up on us whether we buy with the hype or you have your own strategy. Scam actually occur on presales, dexes or other early launch platforms which investors should watch out as rug pull is quite common in there.

I think all cryptocurrency current understood well about cryptocurrency ponzis investment, they will not interested yet with this model of investing. Maybe the beginner or new comer in cryptocurrency will easy to participant because they don't know well with investment ponzis working.
Its seems old investment of ponzi and not relate if scammer make this way to get investor deposit or donate their fund, all people smart right now and know which one trust or not.

While many people in the cryptocurrency community are aware of these scams, newcomers can be particularly vulnerable because they might not be familiar with how Ponzi schemes operate. It's true that many people are becoming more knowledgeable and cautious about where to trust their money, but scammers continue to find ways to deceive users. It's always important to be vigilant, do thorough research, and never invest in something that promises guaranteed returns with little to no risk.

People are interested in making money than ever before it doesn't mean they know what they are doing. GenZ kids may not even have deep understanding of what is investment model but most of them have been a part of social media influence which teaches them wrong information. Indeed it's important to know who to trust and now, majority don't really chose the right ones.

You could actually be able to save up your ass if you are really just that mindful on making up some research first before you would really be taking any step forward or making out some decisions because the main mistake of those newbies is that they do make themselves that become impulsive and this is why they do really end up on making out some investment
without even trying to look at when it comes to the risks involved.  Just bare in mind that everything which is really that too good to be true is 100% a scam.
Nothing on this world such as easy money and this is something you should put up in mind.

In the first place we see a coin newly listed in Binance to be a reliable and trusted coin but when times go by, when the bearish market is starting, the real coin will stay. Binance cares their users that's why they are going to delist all the coins who lose their volume, but this doesn't mean they are scam. This only means that some coins that are formerly listed in Binance are dead coins, meaning investing in them won't make you profit anymore. So it's not literally scamming you but you feel like you are being scam because there's no improvement in the price.

I agree with this, I just saw maybe like half a dozen scam meme projects for example, they built basically nothing, a token that you can create within 5 minutes with just copy pasting, and you know what they did? Just made some graphics, and put a "fun" name to it. Making the same exact thing would take me about 15 minutes max, the website, the logo, the token, all would take 15 minutes, and they were looking for millions in funding. Thats why it makes sense to say that there are many type of scams and there are many different ways that they are going to try to take your money, so be careful.

10% everyday? Double your money? Anything new way to scam people?
I mean these ways that they are using is pretty common already but surprisingly, these are still working even though they've been using this for a very long time already.

I want to see a new way of scamming people. There's nothing new. Well, it's working so why change something that's not broken or in this case, why change something that's working. As much as I said that this is a very common way of scamming people, there will still be newbies that will fall for this because they're gullible enough to fall for these scams.

OP said to stay away from scammers. What I will say is to be ignorant and vigilant enough because you don't know what's coming. If it's too good to be true, it's not true.

The crypto space provides lots of earning opportunities and profitability but a lot of people take advantage of these advantages to defraud naive enthusiasts who are either ignorant or negligent. It's only ignorance and negligence that can make someone fall for such fraudulent promises, although sometimes, greed can also make you fall victim to these common scams.

I mean how can someone you don't even know just fill your head with jargon and promise to give you a 100% profit in 24 hrs, who falls for such cheap lies. Although there are projects that offers even more higher profits but you can never be so sure

The basic plot of every scam is same, steal our money by using our greediness against us.

There are tons of new ways are out there but most of them used by the hackers because we always find a solution to fix the technical loopholes while scammers keep using the century year old method because we didn't learn from our mistakes and tend to keep repeating it again and again until it hit us so hard. :D

One might not believe verbal statements even if they are new to all this, but it becomes extremely dangerous when they create websites with such claims which makes a lot of newbies believe in them because they show fake proofs and screenshots, they would even create fake feedback and reviews on their websites only to make people believe in them and make investments with them, and ironically, some people do fall for them and waste their money in such scams.

The biggest reason why people mostly fall for such scams is a lack of knowledge about cryptocurrencies. Some people think that cryptocurrencies are get-rich-quick schemes which is why when they see such websites, they believe they are right and one can earn that much money in such a short time.

You are 100% right when the market is bullish we see more scams and phishing offers. And the amazing thing is even after advising people to not fall for such scams, they still fell and lose their funds. Actually, it's not their fault because the phishing offers are so accurate and convincing that the victims think he/she should give it a try. And when they make up there minds to give it a try, then they also think why not give this offer a try with more money. And when they give money they cry.

We should report such offers ASAP because newbies and old users both fall prey to these phishing scams, and in order to avoid them we should get knowledge first, because knowledge is what keeps us motivated on the right path as with knowledge we get to know that there is no such scheme that can make us that much money that the phishing offer is offering us.

I even know enough to know by heart what projects can have an impact like this when viewed from the promos provided and some quite strange phishing links.

Early knowledge about various kinds of scams is certainly needed, so you must always be updated about what methods are used by scammers.

These scammers will still have victims no matter how hard we try to prevent people from trying them out. The reason is that there will always be greedy people who their greed will never let them see these ridiculous offers and look away. These people fall victims, and then share their experience to others who mistake the information to mean that cryptocurrency in general is a scam. This is the genesis of why some people have not invested in cryptocurrency because of misinformation.

Victims of these scammers are looking into these type of stuff themselves, that's the number one rule of scamming, because if you are looking to get scammed, then you will. When people see %5000 return yearly on some DEX type of stuff and invest, are they really the ones who are getting scammed? Or are they looking to scam others and getting scammed in return? I feel like the most important part here is that people who have absolutely no harm to anyone, will not get scammed anyway. Do not try to get rich quick suddenly, if that is what you are looking to find, then you will get scammed anyway.

There is something we have to see, right now the trend is towards tokens that are memes and tokens that are AI, it is very likely that they are a big Ponzi scheme because they develop them so quickly and do so much in a white paper, which I think Sometimes all this is Followed by a Pattern to quickly get a project out of the way very easily, so this Kind of thing is what makes you wonder , how can they be developed so quickly? The real devs are so monstrous so of course when you start to see each number and each thing, well yes, you can say that they are Projects that come out from today to tomorrow, that there are people who know how to produce this type of projects in just hours They are fraudulent projects and What they do in the end is scam people , Something like what they did in 2021 with NFT games.

Yes every scam is almost same but there strategy may be different. If an investor stays within a limit without being greedy, it is a little harder for them to be caught by scammers. Most of the scam attack invitations I received were investment schemes. Scammers create new sites offering investment advice. A scammers know how to trap an investor. For those who want to get rich quick through investments or looking for a passive income opportunity from an investment scheme, this is the easy way to fall in trap. Investors should avoid investing in any investment scheme until they get authentic information.

You are right, and that's known as experience, I can say you have spent a lot of time in crypto or long enough to learn such skill to detect the nature of the project just by seeing there promos. That's awesome BTW. I will not lie but sometimes I judge wrong, as I also try to judge platforms from the nature of there UI, the promos, what and how they are offering people, and mostly I check if they have hired twitter affiliates to shell their project, I have seen many projects doing that and getting a lot of traffic as well. Even I test one acting as a project manger and learned that most of the project do that.

Indeed, even if we don't have any kind of knowledge and we are totally new, then in such a situation we should acquire the same type of personality that we would/should acquire when we are left along in Forest just like bear grylls (but with team and water). We will be all alone with no knowledge and now support we will be doing everything with the most care and that's how we should do in this situation as well.

Bull run is coming, and if it happens according to speculations, this will be one ot the biggest ever in the history of bitcoin and entire cryptocurrency, alot of scammers will try as much and as hard as possible to steal crypto from unsuspecting victims, we all must stay vigilant and avoid falling victim to any investment schemes with unrealistic profit potentials, whatever is too good to be true, is likely not true, we must always have this at the back of our minds.

That kind of scheme has been a problem for a long time, and it still exists today because people who are easily fooled have not disappeared. It seems that some people are right when they say that no one will be fooled if no one is fooled.

You are doing well, trying to check everything so you can know how the quality of the project is.
Detailed research like this will find all kinds of irregularities if the project is really used for fraudulent or ponzi purposes.

Now it is quite difficult, because projects that look suspicious sometimes use many affiliates to promote them and promotions that pay off as if official projects that provide profits.
But in the end it will only bring investors money with fantastic amounts.

Seeing how the promotion is done, also having to check who the partners behind the project are, it will be a pretty good guarantee.

10 years ago Ponzi schemes were very popular with many people, when the price of Bitcoin was still very cheap, many people participated in Ponzi, but now Ponzi is unhealthy, everything has the risk of ending in a scam. I have never followed a Ponzi again when the price of Bitcoin could reach this high price. The last time I followed a Ponzi was in 2014 and there were still many Ponzi schemes circulating that year.

Talking about crypto ponzi, it's quite scary. Because, there are so many people who have become victims of crypto ponzi so far. In fact, the effect is quite bad for crypto in the eyes of the world, especially in the eyes of ordinary people, who sometimes associate crypto with Ponzi schemes, rug pulls, scams and all other forms of fraud. Society's perspective is sometimes still not very open to technological advances, including Bitcoin and crypto in general. And what's worse, there are still many people who are trapped or become victims of Ponzi, due to their ignorance and unwillingness to understand and analyze the project first. So they only think about instant big profits.

Making up some research doesnt really cost you an arm and leg, it is really just that too delusional and greedy at the same time on which on the time that they've seen some good offering
then they would really be tending to dive in without having that actual research. As long they've seen someone who do make out some money then they would really be making out
some directly generalizations or conclusions that it is really that legit and since human beings are naturally born greedy then we would really be diving on it.
Ponzi offerings are really that too good to be true, but surprisingly or shockingly there are tons of people who do continue to deal up with and ending up on crying.

No one should think of anything free, because that is how ponzi scheme is. They tell you that you will get a reward for for some activities that you are to carry out, and before you know it, a lot of people will fall for them, and when they are in great profit, they rug pull you. In cryptocurrency and fiat, they are the same. I have fell victim for a ponzi scheme due to greed. So let's not be greedy.

These days those are the kind trading and investment platforms that existing. And the best way to avoid them is to stick to the one you have been using since. So that you won't fall their trap. And those those who want to become rich overnight are the people that fall the Ponzi Schemes. And those who have been in the cryptocurrency marketplace understand those scammers methods but the newbies are the ones fall for it. And all want you have to do is to popular exchanges like Binance, OKX, Kucoin for trading and Electrum for investment.

That’s a wise approach. It’s important to be cautious and do thorough research before investing in any financial venture, especially in the cryptocurrency space where Ponzi schemes can be prevalent. These schemes promise high returns with little risk but rely on new investors’ funds to pay earlier investors, creating an unsustainable cycle that eventually collapses.

Thanks for the words, I consider advertising a big factor in getting new investors. I have been following these people or influencers on Twitter reading their posts and checking their post frequency, what I don't get is, how much they might be earning just to share false news. It's not that all the influencers are of the same type. Some are promoting memes only and some are really good and making good posts on good projects that are worthy of giving time.

But still, when I see them hiring people just to get instant traffic I doubt them but it becomes more tricky when every new project is doing it, because as I aforementioned its a necessary task so every project do this and that's why becomes hard to differentiate between scam and legit project. Here comes other techniques to distinguish them, like talking with the project team on tg, if they are doing AMAs and sharing useful content there, if they are going to events to get more investments or not etc. etc.

I think this has been an ongoing battle for us crypto enthusiast to stay away or at least from our experience, not to be trap by this ponzi scheme. Around 2018-2019, lots of my friends are asking me about Bitcoin investment and the returns that was promised to them by someone from facebook. I said that was a scam and don't fall for it.

And it you look at facebook as one example of social media that has been taken advantage of the criminals, you will found out that there are a lot of groups or even some random and burner account messaging us and then trying to pull that scam.

Are you mistaking Ponzi for something else? Op meant to say, that Ponzi schemes are like phishing ones, they are too good to be true as they offer high returns with no or less amount (near to negligible). These types of offers convince a person to give it a try and thus they fall for it because Ponzi schemes are meant to be scam offers that are not real.

So how can you say Now ponzi is unhealthy I mean when it was healthy? If 10 years ago it was very popular does it mean Ponzi schemes were also real and they give people money they promised them? And what do you mean by the relation of BTC's high price with ponzi, as only in this time such schemes are coming in hot while in bear they are not? Besides that your words don't make logic. The bull run hasn't started yet, people are acting as if they would never fall for any ponzi ever, because they are capable of seeing the ponzis now, because they are obvious from a mile away. But as someone who has been around for a decade now, I can tell you that when the bull run starts and when people start to make a lot of money, it is going to be easy to fall for prey. Not only because the ponzis/scams will be much better, but they will also be a lot more, and also we would all have profit from real coins, so we will be a lot more snubbish about our talents and that's when ponzis will take our money for sure.

I have the same perception as you, however there are buts that they get money from these types of coin projects that wow I don't know how they do it, I imagine that they always do these things to do something more focused on what they have to do, for example when I'm looking for a way to generate more money I Always look for reliable things, and quick money and something easy you always have to put the magnifying glass on it, it's something that I will always see However when we are Looking at different ways to play and earn, everything has to be considered, I see that these things shine for a moment or two, and then everything goes down and they don't go up Anymore.

Apart from staying away from this kind of Ponzi scheme, it's also advisable to stay away from websites or people asking you to pay to learn how to make thousands of dollars daily. If they are earning such amounts, they wouldn't ask you to bring money to earn that amount.

I am very sure that it is not only Ponzi that is being used by fraudsters to look for victims during the current bullish moment. There will be many new fraud schemes that we may not be aware of before the fraud incident occurs. Analyzing several aspects is not enough, because the decision to transfer money is really in our hands, so I think you have to think twice or even three times when you want to send money to someone you don't know, whether for buying and selling or business matters.

New people should be wary of, and if you really feel confident with that person, it's a good idea to try it with a small amount of money first. We cannot know the mechanism of someone's fraud before we become victims.

All those are not trustworthy individuals who are providing information related to crypto trading, investment or something else because if they know everything then will be millionaire and millionaires have no need of such a little amount of money as they can easily make it through their strategies and will have no need to ask you to give them money.

Most of those individuals who are new in the crypto world easily get trapped into the planning of such people and they pay money for learning but actually that information does not guarantee that you will make money through it because newbies do not know that the given information will work accurately or not.

Most people who end up being deceived are people who are getting to know crypto for the first time, they don't have much knowledge, so they are easily tempted by something they find interesting, and that is definitely related to money.

I think that is a normal thing, it can be a lesson for them to be more careful. Actually, things like this can make them better for the future, because it can make them more careful in doing things.

I can tell you for free that there are some people that are new to this game and they lose money more than even the newbies and this is because they are been drive greed and you know what, many of them knows that such coins are ponzi schemes but will rather just do it and risk it because thy want to test it out if they can make some money from it.

The newbies lacks orientation is why many of them are victims of these Ponzi schemes, they don't want to learn and they also have the same greed in them which makes them to lose money into these ponzi schemes.

Of course taking profit and making more money will blind fold some people that they will happily jump into a ponzi scheme unknown to them because they will feel that profit is assured. It is when they have being scammed that they will realize it was a ponzi scheme. Just the way many people will make profit in the bull run is the same way a lot will run at loss too. Meme coins is like gambling and only the luck for you to sell at the right time is what you need.

If you do really just that make use of your own common sense then you wont really be able to make yourself that being victimized with these scams. Scams and frauds had been long time existed on crypto space wayback before on 2015-2016 on where there are tons of ponzi and hyips on that time on which usually newbies are the ones who do end up on getting scammed
because they do really believe that easy money exist or free money but on the moment that they get scammed then this is where realization would comes next.  ;D

Using the gullible newbies to take their money for a promise of a huge return has been a popular thing for a long time. The better way is also showing you actually do pay for a while, which makes ponzi work, without that part it would never work. Imagine a ponzi that made many people millionaires, obviously it requires influx of money, I would say as long as you are in profit and can continue to pay, then keep doing it. After a while, since no ponzi can make unlimited money, even if you are Bernie Madoff, you will end up with a loss, and everything will show how you have done something wrong with that money eventually.

Because it's like they see all these people who have made a bunch of money on shitcoins, but there is no guarantee or any sort of possibility that it will happen for them.

Apart from staying away from this kind of Ponzi scheme, it's also advisable to stay away from websites or people asking you to pay to learn how to make thousands of dollars daily. If they are earning such amounts, they wouldn't ask you to bring money to earn that amount.
Well, I've seen these kind of content on social medias or streaming sites but I am not gonna fall for it because aside from being not able to afford it, I am just looking for something that works for me just like in trading a lot of people offers online courses that has been uploaded many times on the internet we just need to find it and modify it based on our own understanding. If it works in our trial and error and it makes us profitable then that's a good one and I don't think you are gonna sell it maybe you will just literally use it and achieve financial freedom from it. No need to fall for something that only works for other people as it may not work for us.

Everyone considers it a logic in considering offers. I really agree with the way you think and consider the offer. It really doesn't make sense if someone can make more money than recruiting new members and convincing those new members. Moreover, in this investigation, many people are definitely hoping to reveal the secret of how someone can make big money... that's very illogical and someone shouldn't make money by selling a technique to make money that has more potential.

Everyone definitely wants to take the easiest way, and get maximum results, rather than having to go through the difficult way and the results will be ineffective.

I see ponzi as robbing Mr A to pay Mr B and that keeping repeating itself in a circle. When there are large participants, and other members in it are making money from it by virtue of their early adoption or entrance into the system, they keep recruiting others and using themselves as examples of how they have benefited from it.

That is how they keep decieving people in to it making them think it is real but the smart ones who knows their tricks just take profit ones or twice and leave the system and in most cases when that begins to happen, the ponzi scheme begins to shake and when they discover it, they start pulling out funds and allow the scheme to collapse doing away with peoples funds.

Most people are influenced by the story of successful people in crypto investment. They think it will be easy to succeed in crypto because it looks not really difficult to buy and hold crypto coins. They don't know if crypto market doesn't always in good condition, sometimes it turns to be red market. People who don't have enough knowledge about crypto, they can panic and sell for losses.

Some people are scammed by shit projects. The projects offer sweet promises, but it disappears at the end of the day. Newbies are the most victims of the shit projects.

People really are gullible, aren't they.
Those people are easy to be deceived because they have lack of knowledge. They are lazy to do research and analysis, too.

And t hat would really be just that a common sense but surprisingly there are really that people whom do really believe that what works on other people would definitely works on them at the moment that they would be following or using them. Just like on what i have said that it would really be that too impossible for you not to be able to distinguish on whats a real thing and whats something which is really that too good to be true. If something that pertains about having that easy money then better think twice or something that directly avoid because there's no such thing on this world would really be that talking about easy money.

Sometimes a ponzi scheme will only provide profits at the beginning, after we make more deposits the profits we should get will decrease. Many Ponzi cases have been modified so they don't look like Ponzi. A few days ago in the Telegram application there was a project that had a blockchain in SUI and it was being hyped. Many users were affected and in the end they were trapped and the capital they spent could not be returned.

Taking lessons is also important and if someone doesn't focus on their mistakes then they will not learn to make them accurate and the number of their mistakes will increase day by day and eventually they will be tired of doing the same thing in which they are experiencing just loss.

Crypto ponzis are nothing than shitcoins, and how do we get to recognized them when we see one, they will be making offers that are too convincing to be true, they will make it fast and as short as possible to set their target and attack within that short period of time, we should not be also greedy in receiving offers that are coming from unreliable source without taking our personal research on them on how true could they be.

There are some good posts and some random comments, but I cant see any tips to identify the Pozi projects in the crypto market and how to avoid them, let me put something good in it haha from my end. It's a mix of tips to avoid and check about Ponzi projects.

✔️ Basic and what everyone can do is check the social media reputation and collaborations of the project.
✔️ Be Skeptical about the Guarantees on your investment and social media marketing features of the project.
✔️ Analyze and regularly check the product or service status of the project.
✔️ Check Liquidity and volume in the project.
✔️ Check the most relevant famous projects and make a comparison between them it will let you know how authentic the service or product is.
✔️ Don't fall by the recommendation of the Youtube influences.
✔️ keep an eye on the Whitepaper, Roadmap, and Tokenomics 50% of the chances to detect fishy things here.

Never interested in an offer that was initially promised with huge profits and does not make sense.
There have been many past projects that used ponzi systems that I have missed, even my close friends have also offered ponzi projects.

If you are familiar with and understand how the ponzi system works, then it is quite easy to find out.
But if it is for beginners and trying to find a side job, then they will be a good target for a ponzi partner and they don't understand what a ponzi is. Education about ponzi is necessary

This Crypto Ponzi usually targets beginners in Cryptocurreny, people who are new to cryptocurrencies will be easily seduced by the promise of large rewards or profits by depositing a number of assets with them.
This is very dangerous, if we knew we might be able to provide education to these people, but usually they are difficult to tell.
This Ponzi scheme in Cryptocurreny is really misleading, and this can make the image of cryptocurreny in society bad.

To be honest, I was involved in a Ponzi Scheme under the guise of Cryptocurrency, at first I was curious about how they would look for victims. I entered with not too much capital, only around $30. However, I was surprised when I was invited to enter their community, it turned out that many people had deposited large amounts.
I'm trying to educate some people, because I understand very well that this is a scam. I managed to educate only a few people, others completely ignored me.
Not a few even laughed at me, but in the end it wasn't long before the Ponzi Scheme ended up being a SCAM and taking away the assets of the people who had been trapped in it.

Of course, they know the beginners have lack experience and knowledge. So it will be easier to scam the beginners with that condition. It will be different when they are trying to scam experienced people. The experienced people know it because they already learn about scammer ways. And there are already many cases of scams, too. But beginners may not know it, they even just know crypto.

We can start from this forum, we can give the information to new members here. If they look to join scam projects, we can tell them to be careful on the projects.

It is not only misleading but it stole people's money. There are already many people who lost their money because of Ponzi scheme. Sure, it makes a bad image to crypto world. But we have no ability to stop this Ponzi because it is spreading around the world.

It is normal that when people become successful then they forget about the difficulties which they have experienced in the past so it is to be noted that all experienced traders must have experienced failure in their past but they never get disappointed and learn something new at every step of their life. I think learning something due to experiencing failure is a good step because our mistakes teach us to be bold in future due to minimizing such negative steps.

Continuous struggle will make you able to do something better in future but don't take steps in crypto with a mind that you will become rich immediately because if you have such a mind then you will not be able to tolerate ups and downs as well as you will put money continuously without thinking about your failure and this method will put you at risk.

agree
every success must have a struggle and a story behind the success,
failure is used as a lesson and motivation for the future, not as a regret every time you take a step,
and dicrypto is not a place for people who want to get rich quickly, nor is it a tool to multiply money, in crypto you need knowledge, patience and accuracy to get everything you hope for,

Not only Instagram, they are active in all social media sectors to scam and many people are being cheated by them. Especially those who are new to the crypto market are the victims of these scams. In fact, these investment companies are very old stories and there they used to distribute profits to investors through revenue share. But with the increase in fraud, people have forgotten all these investment systems. So if someone gives you such an offer then it is definitely a scamming attempt.

I see this kind of scam mostly on Telegram wherein random accounts will send you messages and when you reply on them they will try to convince you on doing something like clicking links or sometimes they try to sell you tokens or encourage you to invest on something but I blocked them right away so I will be safe from fraud or phishing links and possible scams.

Besides, many new scamming possibilities are also available from twitter. They promise to giveaway money and tweet, like, share through it. All these giveaways are demanding small fees from you. In general there are many ways of scamming, so after coming to crypto you have to prevent yourself from all these scams. On the other hand you will get similar groups from Telegram who are opening Telegram accounts in conjunction with other projects and will offer you profit just for wallet connection.

Scammers and fraudsters wont really be that lacking for any methods that they could really that make use of as long they could really be able to scam out people then they would
really be making those new ways if ever that their current ways or methods are busted or been known already. As long there's money that would circulate into this market
they would really be that keep on making new ways and methods that have known so that they would really be able to continuously be vicitmizing into those people
who do really believe about easy money.

It's during the bull run season, that you get to see different offers from ponzi scheme on social medias promising and bringing enticing offers to investors just to have them scammed.

It's the greedy people that fails mostly to their scam because they feel like making it big in this bull run, not knowing that this is not exact time for one to invest in coins that promise a double profits within a short time

As for any project that PM's me investment with a high return in a short time interval is tagged a scam. I automatically report and block that person because it is too real to believe such a childish talk. Such can not happen just like that aside it being a ponzi scheme that promise the world and end up ripping you of your hard earned resources.
I agree with your opinion that it is mostly greedy people who fall for this because of their desire to get everything very fast. This is the reason why they fall easily to Scammers without taking out time to conduct due diligence before investing.

Does this only happen during the bull run season??? I don't think so... even when bearish, someone will still spread their Ponzi scam because actually this kind of fraud is never influenced by changes in the price of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies... and their target is definitely someone who doesn't even understand cryptocurrency prices. because new people's knowledge about cryptocurrency is also very limited... that's where fraudsters take advantage of loopholes, gaps in the limited general and basic knowledge about cryptocurrency... while the bullish moment is only an amplifier.

Yes, it's just in bull run, this is often magnified as obviously there is a hype and there are a lot of people trying to get their hands on crypto and so are very clever and they will target this newbies very often because of their inexperience and possible greed because they think that they can just turn their crypto in x amount of returns in short amount of time.

So we really need to be very careful of this fraudster, there are a lot of them in this market. Even clicking a link is very dangerous to us and so as a beginner the first thing that we should learn is to practice security and safety hygiene so that we won't be the next victims.

Whenever the market is being bullish you can see lot of investment schemes to invest your cryptos which claims to provide unrealistic returns.

Ithose things are very common this days especially when the bull run is about to happen you will see so many crypto that would display to have a high potential and funny enough most people always fall a victim of those ponzi because of the motive of turning $100 into $3k, so the truth is that people should be very careful with the kind of crypto they put there money into because I could vividly remember what happened to a friend during the bull season when he was lured to invest on a particular coins so that he will make a lot of profits when the time comes and he invested a lot of money and after then he has not been able to sell the coin because they have rug pulled.

Bull run or not, there would really be those things which are on existence. This is why it would really be that best that you should really be that making use of your common sense if we do speak about into those ponzis and other doublers who do really that exist on the moment that the market will really be that having that upward movement on which its yes its really that indeed bit true
that it would really be that even more rampant into these times considering that there would really be tons of people that dives into this market on this very moment specially into those
noobs who do easily believe that things are really that could possibly happen.

If is unfortunate that newbies are always the one's falling for these scams. They fail to conduct their due diligence before embarking upon anything online Crypto investment. For the fact that they do not have any idea how it works,, they ignorantly jump into any free give away which is not good.. sometimes, I wonder how these scammers are able to convince their victims into releasing huge amount of money to them for investment without meeting with them one on one. Nobody can scam me again as I have known their tricks and gimmicks they use.
