Wow, USDT has arrived on TON and is now accessible to hundreds of millions of potential users on Telegram. This can be considered a major success for Tether and USDT. TON, with its speed of over 100k tps, could be the platform that can support the cheapest trades on the market. I really hope that USDT on TON will soon replace TRC-20 USDT on Tron this cycle.
For now, the TON ecosystem is quite poor, with only a few worthless memecoins, but with the rise of TON token price, I believe that many Dapps will soon appear and help TON + USDT gain more value in the DeFi trend and altseason.

It doesn't really matter if they have cheapest and and super fast million tps if everything is centralized and held in custodial wallets.
That is no different than fiat currencies, if not even worse, and it has no real decentralization that is much more important.
And I surely dont need any fake daaps on Ton :P

it must be very centralize sine your telegram wallet doesn't give you private keys or seen phrase. but one wallet they have such as tonkeeper provides priv key but i tried swapping in the wallet the USDT is still not available in their internal exchange.
this USDT (TRc20) only exists on the telegram wallet @wallet and from there you can also swap in the exchange. though this is somewhat centralize

However, if you create a non-custodial wallet in TON Space, you can import it into another TON wallet, such as Tonkeeper.

You don't have full control over telegram wallet. You can not export keys, you can not backup it. If you delete or lose your Telegram account or your account is banned by Telegram for some reason - you will lose your wallet and everything in it. Using Wallet from a recovered Telegram account creates a new wallet. According to their faq you can verify your wallet providing some personal information and later recover access to it providing that information to their support, but I can't vouch for how reliable this way is.

Well, I agree with you on all your points. Yes, you can create a non-custodial wallet in TON Space to have more control over your assets. And yes, most users won't do this and will keep using the built-in Telegram wallet because it's very simple. Additionally, Telegram offers options to move money into and out of their default wallet via credit card payments and banking transactions. Although their exchange rates are not the best, most people will also prefer convenience over savings.

Maybe there is a reason why Binance hasn't traded tons yet, but NOTcoin one of the coins from the Ton network will be listed on the 16th. It is possible and there is hope that the main coin will also be listed on Binance

not sure why. but its in the perpetual market in binance so there could be an issue about this why they tend not to add the token. TON has had issues in US too when it was in the ICO period which and thats why this project took so long to be developed.
i have no idea afterwards but during its ICO it got a huge funding and then went silent for years and then all of a sudden in 2022 i think where small discussions afloat and so TON came.

First time I heard about Oobit app but it looks like a bridge between cryptocurrencies and traditional fiat payments, and it can be used to pay anything with crypto.
I have to research it more but I think there is mandatory identification process for creating oobit account so I don't like it.
I doubt telegram will be able to skip this kyc and that means all USDT transactions will be tracked and traced.

It is not out of the question if enough people are interested in using services like this without verification, and decentralization has nothing to do with that.
USDT can be frozen on any blockchain, however in reality it is not happening so often yet, but that can always change in future, as every transaction is public and tracked.

Telegram is trying so hard to form a busy network but I'm not use to USDT with any other chain other than Tron, that's what I have been using anytime Bitcoin network is giving me headache to get comfirmation but there is this thing I saw on Kucoin that captured my attention, withdrawing USDT through TON network in kucoin is free and I don't know if this through in other places.
In addition, I'm not sure if I'm the only person who see that Ton network isn't that fast as it is, it takes time before it get comfirm compare to USDT Tron network, even BSC is faster so why the USDT partnership in the first place.

Do we know anything about the fees that will occur after the end of June? It is a great option for sending cash in between friends and maybe later companies. No need to get IBAN, BIC, wait several days before the transaction is done and so on. Also if the fees are very low maybe we can start to leave the credit card system. That would be great.

Ton blockchain is getting support on more centralized exchanges and OKX recently announced they are adding USDT on Ton with zero withdrawal fees.
Telegram app also had similar zero fees, but OKX is the first crypto exchange to add USDT on Ton blockchain.
I would still suggest everyone not to hold coins on any centralized exchange even if they have great reputation.

P.S. Is Binance finally going to add TON - no idea why they didn't do it earlier. Whoever said/wrote what, the TON ecosystem, is evolving very fast. The sooner you realize this = the more money you make. 8)

This is very good news USDT is the most familiar TRON chain to me. Because the transaction fee is low here, I used to do more transactions. TON, a project of Telegram, has created a lot of hype since it hit the market and quickly reached the 8th position in coin marketcap with a high marketcap, leaving TRX behind. TON may become like SOLANA in future. TON will be a strong competitor for SOLANA in the future.

P.S. Notice how overall, the TON blockchain has become popular + in demand? Wouldn't be surprised if TON takes over the top 5 cryptocurrencies in the world. There's certainly still room to develop and t.t.c. - but it's still a long way to go.

if you are trying to buy TON in some exchanges you will need to submit KYC once again but yobit doesn't ask KYC and TON is already listed in that exchange. i understand this exchange is not very liked by many users but seem to have worked for the users there.
Binance not allowing TON in spot is really making them miss a lot of profit while this chain is becoming popular especially the games in the telegram.

I can clearly see Ton contracts for both ethereum and binance chain, and TON is already available on Uniswap, similar exchanges or p2p.
Metamask is probably one of the worst wallets I ever used and it's only for ethereum and similar blockchains.
You can't really compare metamask with telegram app that is not directly used as cryptocurrency wallet.
