Title: Altcoinstalks Archive (topics, posts, username)
Post by: PX-Z on April 27, 2024, 02:16:44 PM
Well, this should be released earlier but i'd rather not since i need some tweaking of the search feature. This archive exists because of the scraped data in telegram bot notifier (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=315728.0), original or unedited posts were automatically archive when scraped.

For now it can get the archive posts, by topic_id, msg_id, and usernames. I'll add "more option" in search next time. Default number of displayed posts is 20, and can be seen using pagination button in the lower left of the page.

Screen capture:
(https://i.ibb.co/80kcX66/789625.png) (https://pxzone.online/altt/archive)
(https://i.ibb.co/vQnsnZt/topicid.png) (https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?topic=320629)

Sample URLs that can be shared;
Topic id: https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?topic=320629
Msg id: https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?post=1544590
Username: https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?username=PX-Z

URL: https://pxzone.online/altt/archive

Some older posts were archive the posts of the user only, not included the quoted posts which is i need to re-scrape next time for it to be fixed. But it's okay for newer posts.

Recommendations are always welcome as well as the issue you may encounter :)

Well, no recommendations at the moment, atleast, until I use the Altt achieve for whatever reasonable reason; and find what, or come up with some kind of good ideas that could make it better.
For now, I am just writing to commend your efforts and dedication to this dear forum, all you do here for the forum is inspiring to many or most of us, and all I can say for now is "welldone sir, and keep up the good work", together with our big and little contributions, I believe that altcoinstalks will become a great forum with hundreds of millions of users in the near future.

Did you archived older posts ( since the forum started) or just from this year or month upwards?

No addresses search? This features helps in combating signature and bounty alt accounts.

Edit: Noticed mine started from Feb 8, 2024.

That seems like a quite good thing to me as that type of service could be useful to see the posts of the ones running so many alt accounts so those alt accounts won't be able to be part of the campaigns and they may get red dot if they break the rules of the campaigns.

I would rarely use such a service myself because I don't look for alts of the users but I'm very sure those guys who really want to hunt the alts of the users will definitely find such a service very helpful.

Great work and thank you for another forum contribution PX-Z!
I will test archiving website more in next week, but I can suggest early that you add ability to show member profiles with more statistics, profile information with image avatar, and other details.

It's just from this year or the date i started i save the scraped data, and other threads before, like this forum rules[1] posted on 2017, but the quoted posts wasn't included just like i mentioned in the OP which is needed to rescraped. I actually worried that maybe it will end up consuming the whole storage of my server if i started from the very first time this forum started, although my storage is 1tb.

Yes, i can do that like basic stuff there, i didn't prioritize it because we have forum profile stats here unlike in btt which was disabled.

P.S.: I have translated (into Spanish) your first post in this thread, if other users do the same in other languages they will receive +1.

+3.

Great!
Just try to add number posts for each profile page that can be seen easy, this can be good help for campaign managers when they are counting weekly posts for participating in campaigns.
Like Igebotz suggested it would be great to have better search function with addresses, social media profiles and other information.
Search in altcoinstalsk forum is not very good.

Hey PX-Z,
Thank you very much for the much-needed tool. This is something important for the future. Especially to catch bounty cheaters and spammers. The only recommendation for now is, to try to have a search with Bitcoin or other crypto addresses. This will help everyone to find cheaters and abusers. I already noticed that some users found a couple of cheaters without any kind of tools. I am sure your website will be a great tool for them. Not only to catch cheaters, but to find useful topics with the keywords.

I was busy this past few days/week and can't make a thread for this one, this should be posted earlier but just created yesterday  ;D

I will try to add this (posted addres) in the future, i guess there's an available regex pattern for this or any existing way to detect a bitcoin wallet address and others too. I'm currently working on the optional search through keywords for now.

Thanks for the kind words guys, appreciate it :)

Very good work PX-Z

Why don't you create a page for each user, show specific boards post percentage, most mentioned addressed and stuff like that?
You could easily do that with the data you collected.

I asked him the same thing few days ago and he said that he can do that, so it is coming ;D

When searching something on pxzone website and I press enter button on keyboard nothing happens.
Only way to complete search of anything is by pressing blue Search button.
This should be fixed I think PX-Z.

I'm still thinking if what stats should i include there since there is a user statistics page already. All stat that bitmover mentioned is already there except for the address, in which i will add soon.

Yes, it is designed like that because it's not using form to submit data in which both enter button and clicking search button will work, the search only triggers when button is hit. Well, I might change it later.

@PX-Z I like what you did with this archiving tool, but there is a lot of room for improvement, not that I am complaining since you are doing all this work for free ;)
With some changes and updates this could become very useful like Ninjastic.space website is for Bitcointalk forum.

First I noticed slow speed when searching anything.
Than I did a test, selected a Topic and searched for term Bitcoin, but I didn't get any results:
https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?topic=Bitcoin

I tried the same thing with word Mixtum and also nothing:
https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?topic=Mixtum

When I tried to search word Mixtum as a post I got only one result, but it was all null:
https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?post=Mixtum

The server is facing a downtime now, the site works but the connection of the server is not stable.

The search function is only topic_id, msg_id, and username unlike before when i let you test that page 😅. That's why using "mixtum" for searching doesn't work, the null that shows was probably an error due to server downtime.

The optional searching keywords will be available soon, but i will try to fix the server issues first.

The server is facing a downtime now, the site works but the connection of the server is not stable.
For how long is this server going to continue being down?
I just checked the same links posted above with my search testing and I am getting exactly the same result = nothing.
Only username search works for me, and it is giving me all posts from that member.
For example:
https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?username=PX-Z

The links you provided will not work, because this link only specific for topic id (numbers only)
https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?topic=320814.0

This one is for msg id (numbers only)
https://pxzone.online/altt/archive?post=1551336

The one with username is only for usernames.

Optional search using different keyword will be added soon as what mentioned earlier.

Hi PX-Z

Your website seems to be down. I cannot access the website for some reason. Are you aware of it, or are you already working on fixing it? Here is what it looks like for now;

I haven't received any notification since 30th May. Probably no one mentioned me. But I did not received the notification of my karma drop as well. My karma dropped from 73 to 63 for some reason and I have created a thread to discuss this. I wanted to check which posts were deleted. I think you have a backup on your website. Right?

You should check out PX-Z post history.
He said that there was some problem with his hard drives from hosting service used for website and telegram bot, but everything is back online and it should work fine.
I can confirm that pxzone.online website is working fine at the moment.

Yes I also seeing that pxzone.online is working now but I am seeing that some of the topics are not fully scraped may be it's because of the downtime.
Hey buddy PX-Z, how is the scraping process going?

The downtime is getting unhandled, i will try to move to another location/region and upgrade the server. That's why the telegram bot stop working the same on the site and scraping is greatly affected.

Pxzone.online is now under maintenance on the new server, i will wait until the uploading of the database. If not yet done until this night, i will try other ways so the bot and site features will work later.

When I clicked on Tools tab on the top I was getting very long spinning animation and nothing was opening for a while.
It's strange that it is not happening always, but only sometimes and i can't reproduce it exactly.
Maybe this is somehow related with archived content that is missing.

Ah, yes. Some posts were not imported yet this might be the main reason, or due server long response (which they have another maintenance earlier which is annoying) and lastly because of user's internet connection.

Hey PX-Z can I ask for you can we see some more features on https://pxzone.online/altt/archive like some more extra filtering options like custom Date Range, Board I mean search by params.
You can easily understand what I want to mean is as I am sure you are familiar with the ninjastic.space I mean to the features of the ninjastic.space.

To know details here is the page- https://ninjastic.space/search?author=Crypto%20Library

So can we see some more features on this ?

I think there is a big role of archives I mean data scrapers to analysis data and as well as catching the cheaters. And it also makes the campaign manager's life more easy. And as well as making monthly data of the local boards to cheering the members for make more quality full activity.

I would not gonna force you to implement the features right now take your time and after you are done of your stuffs give an eye to this.

The archive is fully functional you can check it by topic id, post id and username, except for the custom search. I have logs, few logs searches using the archive from few people, so that's why i take a pause developing and will continue it later on. Regardless, i'll take that in mind.

I know about your archive site for altcointalks forum from the beginning and I am also a use of your https://pxzone.online/altt/archive  and I know there are the function of topic Id , post id and username, here I miss the custom search and you can also add the mentioned by addresses function.
I saw that bitmover said on a post it can easily added by using regex for ethereum and bitcoin. Take your time and when you are free then go for upgrade this and I can say that the work will not go in to vain if we thought about the future.

Update: Searching address is now available; the scraped of the address started in May. The type of addresses included were bitcoin, ethereum, TRX (TRC20), Monero, Binance Coin (bnb1), and Solana. Although there are some confusion for Solana since its address were completely random, the bot scraped even the txid that were 32-44 characters, i might stop scraping this wallet address if there still no progress 😅.

So far the scraped address were over 1400 already. The UI will just simply search for address, i will add more user page with address and other stat in the future.

Great addition that can be useful in many different ways.
Can we also search all addresses posted by specific forum members?
For example if I wanted to search all Bitcoin addresses posted by PX-Z or any other member.
