Title: Is having 2 tokens really better than 1?
Post by: BitHunter on June 07, 2024, 07:47:43 PM
Hey guys, being in the crypto space means we can participate in airdrops that pops up and hope for the best. So I saw this Nigerian guy on Twitter who made $6k from literally tapping his phone with NOT coin and has since been propelled to KOL stardom.

I mentioned him because I saw on of his quote about airdrops "do everything and expect nothing". I have to say it kinda wrap up the expectation level I have since attached to airdrops.

My dilemma began after the OEX airdrop when Bitget Wallet started there airdrop on Satoshi app... I got in early and got my little share. Then got some more while staking, before the listing.

The question here is, Binance and other tier 1 CEXs and DEXs have 1 token for there ecosystem, so, what could be the reason for Bitget having two (BGB & BWB)?

Would the BWB I gathered be worth keeping if it won't be the life blood of the ecosystem?

Bitget launched two tokens because they are trying to reduce sale pressure from their original coins. You see, airdrop are just ways of bringing people to something, either by doing task and helping them make awareness about the project or they make them register to get new customers and in return, they give you guys something in return for those tasks.

However, there is something airdrop hunters do, they sell their coins immediately they are been paid off and that's what teams try to avoid and that's the reason why I think Bitget launch two tokens. One might be there original coin as utility for the exchange and the other one is just a normal token.

Honestly, I am not into Bitget hence I never got any airdrop from the platform hence I am also wondering of the same...why introduced two digital asset and why not just unify and concentrate on one? So I made some search as to the explanation for this situation for me to comprehend why. And I think I got it here (https://coincodex.com/article/41089/bitget-wallet-coo-alvin-kan-explains-bwb-token-launch-and-navigating-the-crypto-bull-run-exclusive-interview/): "BWB isn’t designed to replace Bitget Token (BGB); rather, both tokens are complementary. Each token anchors its respective ecosystem – BWB for the decentralized side of Bitget Wallet and BGB for the centralized exchange. This duality allows both tokens to thrive concurrently, contributing to the overarching development of the Bitget group and underscoring our belief that the future lies in a cohesive relationship between CEXs and DEXs." With that, everything becomes self-explanatory. Now, congrats to those who are able to have some BWB as an airdrop, am sure its price will be rising as Bitget is consolidating its leadership in the cryptocurrency industry for good.

Kinda smart though. Having BWB anchor bitget wallet and BGB for the cex..both offering holders privileges. Sorry for not participating in the airdrop. I did and got some. You can search if there's an ongoing campaign for community members Tompluz..

     -    You mean when you have BGB on bitget exchange, you have privileges on any airdrops? I rarely use Bitget, and I haven't even verified my account on this platform. Although I have TURBO and NOT in the bitget so far, as I mentioned, I rarely open at the moment.

All I can say is that it is true that 2 is always better than 1, but I will also try to buy BGB to find out what the benefits are.

Yah. This would give better clarity. Without KYC, you won't enjoy the benefits so I'll suggest you get Kyced quickly..
