Title: [FUN] Secret places to hide wallet seeds

It seems innovative and difficult to think about. I will try to make something similar in a local workshop. If you have any ideas for wooden crafts or other ways to hide the wallet seed, please share them.

Wooden crafts are not fireproof so I think using different material that is weather and fire proof will keep your seeds safe and worry free if you are planning to store it for a long time. I know this ain't free and easy to do but I agree that it is smart idea of storing our keys in a safe and discreet way.

I think if we go for the local way to store the seed phrase, there will be a lot of ways to do. Like the boat or canoe 🛶 that we used can be a good storage of seed phrase. You just meet the caver and at the bottom of the under of the canoe or the boat the seed phrase would be written and nobody will know except you. And that cup or the wooden mortar can also be good to hide seed phrase. The way the cup in the reddit video, the following mortar and pestle can also be used.

I have the safest secret place in my opinion, that place is UNDER MY WIFE'S MATTRESS.
No one will be suspicious and dare to sneak into my wife's bed and even become a storage place for important things. LOL. (just a joke).  ;D ;D

But whether it is safe or not, the important thing is that the media for storage must be resistant to all kinds of damage that will occur.
Use a steel plate that is printed with a recovery phrase, it will probably last longer and determine where is the safest place

I've watched the video, and i don't think i find it too impressive nor suitable to hide your seed phrase. I couldn't also see the price, but from the comments below the video, it costs ~ $500, wtf, how does that thing cost that much, it's crazy.

Boats and canoes??? To store your seed phrase; please for the love of God, don't do this. Do you own a boat or a canoe that you keep in your house? How have you come about this idea.

The main problem I see with this thing is that anyone who comes across this in your house and sees the cup has a top and is linked to the saucer will instantly think there is something inside, and while it might be hard to open it without damaging by using those magnets one hit with a hammer of probably even stomping on the ground would do the job in seconds.
It would be nice for camouflage but again you would need to make sure it doesn't stand out and that one can become tricky.

          -   The video is not available anymore; maybe if we are careful with crypto or bitcoin assets, we can store them carefully for sure, especially if we have enough other ways to protect the assets we have.

Then what I'm doing right now, while I don't have hardware wallets, is just saving them on my several flash drives inside my vaults here in my house, of course. And the others are only in software wallets, where the amount is not that big either.

If you think no one will ever see your seed then its safe. Sometimes the safest place is even where people don't expect to find something but when a person who knows about seeds a d private keys see them, I think they will find it.

I tried underlining the words in one of the novel book in my room, the Book Gemini Contender of Robert Ludlum at home seem a perfect place to hide my seed. Not all words are there though so I just wrote a few of them and underline the rest.

I don't think anyone is interested to read this book anyway. I think its safe.

Right now everyone who knows your social media account, friends or relatives or even some strangers for telegram knows where your seed is, assuming you have also done KYC on some websites it's really a risky thing to say in public.

Seriously, guys, it's one thing to talk where you would hide it but a different thing to actually tell people where you did!!!!!

Absolutely, wooden craft are good source of fuels to enhance the burning of flame. I still think writing your seed phrase in a paper and storing it in a fire proof/ water proof safe is the best option as accident can occur anytime. Or the case of natural disaster which can be quite destructive at times. How about writing your seed and putting it in a fire proof material and then bury it behind the wall of your building as back up while you still have an easily accessible safe. Anything aside traditionally storing your seed phrase I see it as a less secured way of saving your mnemonic seed

Some things really shouldn't be talked about publicly, no matter how much it seems that it might help someone. Everything that is sensitive like our backups should be hidden in such a way that it is not within reach, and even less in places where thieves will look first. Be imaginative and innovative.

This is amazing.

The point is that any solution becomes popular,  it will become unsafe.

I saw many good ideas like marking words in a book. Or hiding inside a wall or a inside a drawer (in a hidden wood wall)

The book is my favorite,  but I really don't use it. I just hide inside the wall as there is a somewhat hidden opening

LOL, you are funny to say that you will keep your seed phrase under your wife's pillow. If it is in my country, then if a small child will steal your seed phrase. This is because it is a norm for us down here to keep money under the pillow and children can easiky steal your money back days. The steel plate is  safer because it is fire proof.

Some of above replies indicate not to disclose such sensitive data, and although I disagree with them, I think that many here may not care about their privacy (compared to BTT,) and some may have friends or family here, so I think I it is better to lock this topic.
