Title: Are There More Newbie Friendly Earning Methods In Crypto?
Post by: BitHunter on June 18, 2024, 12:24:20 PM
Generally, newbies in any space tend to be erratic in decision making and even more so in crypto. Statistically, it's more likely for a newbie to blow his account than a seasoned pro even if they have the same amount to start with.

However, there are ways to earn that are far safer and guaranteed to not blow a young portfolio. The most common ones are airdrops, staking and farming. In the recent past, some CEXs have introduced new ones like PoolX which can also be a good avenue to earn since more often than not, it involves the use of stablecoin and guarantees your capital. Some very good hits for PoolX have seen upto 75% APR which is commendable by any standard.

Overall, I believe the above methods are good starting points for newbies.

Kindly share if there are better options guys... I don't mind earning like a newbie every time I can!

The instant one is of course the airdrop, you can immediately do light tasks to get prizes that will be distributed according to the initial information... the worst possibility is a delay in distributing the tokens, so be a little patient to face this unpleasant possibility...

If you want a process, try learning about cryptocurrency and discussing on this forum or on bitcointalk... there is a signature campaign which has a better chance of earning because the model is fixed income... here you have to often read materials about cryptocurrency and also answer problems or provide other opinions based on factual data to keep forcing you to learn to become a knowledgeable person.

Trading is actually also possible for newbies... if you start with small money and learn it first.

What's all this talk about this PoolX thing, I've seen some small accounts talking about it on twitter and I always saw an infographic from Cryptoreserach talking about crazy APRs like the one you mentioned. I actually feel like this is just a gimmick from an exchange to make it look prettier and I think I'm going to try it once and see if they'll deliver what they promised

For beginners so far the safest options are as you mentioned airdrops, staking and farming in addition to investing a small amount in the initial sale phase of some projects that are launched on Binance Launchpad or other trusted exchanges.

It is possible to invest a small capital in some Memecoins that can get x10 or more if you are lucky, but you should not risk investing a large capital. With time, beginners gain experience, learn from their mistakes, and become more accurate in determining their options.

What newbie do you mean here? If you mean a newbie account in this forum, you are also a part of them. And I believe a newbie account in this forum doesn't always reflect their true ability. There are newbies but they are actually experienced traders or old investors. They just make accounts here because they are not really active in the forum or just know Altcoinstalks forum.  ;)

Airdrops is the easiest one, it is suitable to do by newbies. However, the chance to earn money from airdrops looks not really convincing. Many airdrops are worthless, they paid with no-value tokens/coins or they may not pay to the participants. Some airdrops program limit the eligible participants to get the payment. And only few airdrops that really pay the participants with proper amount of money.

In my humble opinion, staking and farming are not for newbies because we must familiar with the exchange program. If we are not really familiar with the program on the exchanges, we may not know if there are staking or farming in the exchanges. We also need to have certain number of coins in the exchanges to be able to do staking or farming there. If we only have small number of the coins, staking and farming may be not profitable enough.

 :)

Sooner or later as they do able to get such knowledge that comes with their experience from those different engagement then they would really be able to find out on which one would really be fitting out into their needs and their interest. It is really just that there are individuals who would really be dashing about into those easy methods but as said that sooner or later they would really be able to find out on which path that they would really be taking. We do have different methods on which it would be coming up with different approach and risks management on dealing up with things.

Newbie friendly earning is through holding. While the mentioned strategies are good ways of earning as well but you have to deal with the risk that it has got. Even the most newbie friendly way of earning crypto, there's a risk on it then if not, you have to exert some effort. If you remember still the faucets, I guess they're one that should get some special mention and I think that the most of us here have started with it.

OP, from the looks, you do not sound like a newbie but I think as a newbie who have no knowledge about Crypto for the main time should be taking part in Airdrops to earn free token and coin and still take part in beta test as well so that you do not loose out if anything happens because such does lot requires investment bit only your time and commitment. That alone could fetch you more knowledge about Crypto in the process of engaging in the exercise.

While you are doing the airdrops, you should be learning more about Crypto trading and investment so that you would be equipped with knowledge added that which you already have while doing beta test and airdrops. When doing this, you should have in mind that it is not a 100% guarantee that they would succeed but you just have to do them for the fun involved and also take note of the risk.

     -     Most are newbies who are obsessed with airdrops because it's easy money for them, and this way they often get frustrated because most of those who do airdrops don't give rewards after the time and effort spent. They are here.

Although they can also get earnings from trading, it won't be easy for them, especially if they don't have enough ideas or knowledge about cryptocurrency. And there are more other things you can earn here in this space, like your skills, if you do have them.

Well to be fair the most "newbie" stuff that you could make money from would be just understanding that "airdrops" are not all that easy because %90+ of them will not pay you. Sure, you are not spending a dime on it, and just spending your time for it and effort but that doesn't mean that they deserve it. Just very recently, something called "notcoin" made people a lot of money, some made even thousands of dollars, so everyone is not trying their chance at similar stuff, but there were a thousand other stuff that people worked on and made nothing, so do not assume everything you join will make you some money.

I do believe that people who use these methods have indeed been newbies... but if a newbie who doesn't really understand is pressured to learn trading and mining, maybe they could be mistaken about the calculations... both of which have big risks. Trading carries the risk of losing all assets in a short time when there is a mistake in decision making... while mining people usually miscalculate the energy consumption to activate the machine, and operational costs cannot be covered from mining income... because the equipment is never cheap, so It is recommended for those who already have financial freedom with lots of free money....

What, an easy way to earn money?

That will be exploited so much that it will dry up like a well.

As always, if you want to go out and earn money, you must do it through entrepreneurship. There is no "easy money". You have to work hard to get it, and the results will be good if you use your head to figure out how to make it happen.

The system doesn't distinguish between "newbies" and other people.

Newbies? Airdrops and Bounty hunting is I think the most common way newcomers will earn money from cryptocurrency and forums for me is the most approachable, knowledgeable and profitable place for newbies as all you need to know is in there you just need to spend time using search bars on what you really wanted to learn so you earn at the same time.

Not all airdrops are real some are scam and they will e d up not paying you after you have wasted your time. If you will be paid, the money will be very little that it does not worth the stress. It was way back that crypto started that airdrops do pay well. Getting a job online or offline is the best way to invest in crypto.

If airdrops are constantly coming to the market, then how will those airdrops pay the hunters? Currently there are so many airdrops that have no future. Which only try to get money by creating hype or by scamming. Thinking about getting paid for all these airdrops is just a waste of time. I would say to those who are thinking of investing by doing such things, they must avoid these thoughts otherwise they will lag behind and not be suitable for investment. If the income can be invested by doing some other work or by some other means then that is the best approach.

That's true. I do staking though. Particularly with Poolx mentioned by OP. it's flexibility gives it an edge over other staking portal for me..

I might agree that the most common ones are airdrops, staking and farming however, they're not the safest and newbie friendly ways to earn in cryptocurrency.

You might earn from airdrops still, but you need lots of time, patience, and of course money. If you have all 3 then most probably, you will earn from it. Staking might be the safest among the 3 because you just need to buy an established staking coin like Ethereum, stake it and let it do its thing. The problem though is that you might get impermanent loss because the token might go down and the rewards that you're getting isn't enough to cover it. As for farming, not familiar on it especially with PoolX.

If you want to earn as a newbie, I suggest staking those top staking coins. The reward isn't that huge, but as a newbie, that's a good start already.

I started on airdrops, and after some years, airdrops are still here. Although the definition of newbies is very different now compared to seven or years, there are still airdrops worth participating in. The latest one I read that yields profit from many people is Notcoin, and there are airdrops in the form of testnets.
Another one is bounty hunting. If you have large followers on social media or have writing skills, you can participate in these tasks, but you need to research if the project you're participating in is good projects
