Title: Has anyone tried BloFin?
Post by: Yamane_Keto on June 19, 2024, 05:34:00 PM
I found an advertisement for their services, they seem to have good trading volumes. The platform was established 2023. No mandatory KYC. Before creating an account there I would like to know if any of you have tried this exchanger or have any information about it.
Exchange link https://blofin.com
KYC https://blofin.com/privacy

I heard about it recently when I researched all centralized exchanges that can work without mandatory kyc verification, but I never used it myself.
Blofin looked a bit shady to me so I didn't include it in my list of non-kyc exchanges.
If something changes and I test how this exchange work I could add it in future, meanwhile you can check the current list:

I've never heard of Blofin exchange before, this is the first time I've heard of them here.
I tried to log into the exchange site but unfortunately I received a message telling me that my country was blocked based on the IP I am using.

I'm interested in exchanges that don't require KYC because I have limited options so I might try it via VPN, but I'm afraid their KYC policy will change in the future and require KYC like many exchanges did before them.

Yeah, their ToS says otherwise:

Quote
KYC refers to the “know-your-customer” process that Blofin.com has put in place before entering into a business relationship or conducting transactions with its Users. As part of this process, Blofin.com may do anything that it deems necessary in order to identify Users, verify their identity, scrutinize and investigate User transactions, or comply with any applicable law or regulation.

So they are covered even if they ask you for a blood sample to prove you're not the grandnephew of a terrorist.

They've invested probably heavily in promoting meme coins trading, I saw some paid articles by them about the meme hype, they were at a point leading volume with that stupid dogwhifwhaf whatever the name is and floki. It was a whole article about dog meme coins and they had volume (real of fake) for a dozen of it.

My first time hearing about them too. Their CEO is the only one who interacts with their community publicly, with an image that feels like an AI art/NFT. Their social media is really dry of interaction, the only tweets that have some interaction are meme listings. So I guess it's true that they push hard for meme tokens, even though their follower numbers are quite high. I think this is another tier-2/3 exchange that should not be on your list, especially if you're concerned about your privacy. CMIIW.
