Well, for me, I don't believe it's declining, For example, one of the hyped P2E projects was Notcoin, a game on telegram that made people tap for hours and every day to earn coins.. When binance announced the listing, the people were so hyped and happy as they didn't see this coming.
You know I laughed cos some people ignored it saying waste of time, while I thought and played the game every until I reached 1M notcoins.. and from this, I have earned some bucks that will keep me from being hungry. :)
Anyways not going on off-topic here, but I hope to see more P2E projects begin to launch, not only can people like me benefit but P2E overall will be alive as it was. What do you guys think of it, do you think any P2E projects are bringing new ideas to the table for us to brainstorm ????

Most of the games out there are ridiculously overvalued and have virtually no real players. Honestly, people are just buying the coins just to profit on the FOMO.
But at least we're finally starting to see a few decent ones coming out.
I'm not a poker gamer tho, more of the mmorpg/arpg action game, but I'll dump conventional games for play to earn games a million times. I'm not talking about Axie Infinity type of games, more of PORTUMA kind.
We are already seeing a spike in monthly volume on these games particularly PORTUMA volume has been insane since listing on bitget I believe these numbers will continue to grow.

I watched Notcoin reviwe on Youtube and do not see the appeal of NOT coin or the game associated with it. It is just a Tap-to-Earn memecoin created in the GameFi trend, I do not find any real value from NOT for GameFi or crypto.
GameFi is still continuing to exist as a major market trend. After the failure of hundreds of GameFi projects in 2021, professional teams have learned a lot to improve their Games to attract players instead of just focusing on the Earn feature. I hope that with the current development, we will soon experience many AAA games on Immutable and Ronin in the next few months when the GameFi trend returns to the market.

Play-to-earn niche will rise... seasonally. I mean there will be a time where it will be hyped, but most of the time, it will not. It's the same as meme coin where it got hyped when Elon Musk hyped DOGE and it lasted for a few months then after that, all comes back to normal. It's the same with P2E category.
We will see games that will rise here and there, but soon enough, they will just fall down like what always happen. As for NOTCOIN, after its success, many copied the same thing and not only that, but millions and millions of investors flocked in as well hoping that they will get a share of the whole pie. It's kind of funny that some people that I see online are saying that this will change their lives. Too exaggerated, but that's how it is right now.
Overall, this niche will rise up temporary then the hype declines, and the cycle continues. One thing is for sure though, P2E games will be here to stay. :)

I agree that Play to earn games will rise due to hype, but as time passes, it will slowly decline if not sustained. I hope that in the future P2E games will have a stable economy, engaging, and fun so that players will stay and play the game to earn rewards I also like to play P2E games like Axie Infinity.

Cryptocurrency market is greatly influenced by trends. P2E trend has already been changed several times. Now its tap-on-the-screen trend and I dont think that we would get back play-to-earn, because people follow always most simplified way to earn. After tapping on the screen, people will not want to return to playing, walking, jumping, watching, doing something to earn.

P2E will not be an excellent way to generate enough income to pay rent and live an average life, but it is good if $10 a month is a lot in your country.
These games generate income from advertisements and from players’ money, and distribute part of the income in the form of profits, just like referral links. If the possibility of making profits is easy, then the amount paid to you will not be large.
P2E may give you more than $10 in bull up season

- From what I saw after the events about the event that was the success of Notcoin, it seems that the large community that was established in axie infinity in the crypto space through NOT has been encouraged. They don't release any money, which planted in their minds that they can make a lot of money here in crypto, but they didn't think it was just an airdrop.
Notcoin just created a unique trend because of the hype and hard work of the Notcoin team. But it doesn't mean that if someone imitates what notcoin did, they will always succeed. That's not the case, because most of the imitators will take advantage of the ignorance of the community that doesn't know much about the ins and outs of crypto. space.

time can only tell. i know NOTcoin but i am still uninterested to it compare to the Axie that i always want to join when i found out kids are actually making a living because of it. but after the bullrun and its decline seem not so interesting anymore and people are abandoning their accounts as well. we may be able to see them coming back when Axie becomes huge again.
i use to be playing one of the P2E game as well. in the bear market it collapsed. they didn't last the storm. when a project starts to try migrating their tokens, its already a sign they are rugpulling.

I have not made any profits from those P2E projects and neither did I invested in them because I believe most of those projects will fail without any doubt and if out of those one or two perform good then that's just a matter of luck for the investors who invested in it or for the accumulators who accumulated it as airdrop.

In fact, this is the rule of every financial market: the majority loses, the minority profits. GameFi was very successful in 2021, but most projects were poorly developed and the Earn factor was greater than the Play factor. I am not surprised at the failure and disappearance of those projects, they do not have a place in this market.
However, with the development of better projects, focusing on gameplay and user experience, I think we can be confident in the maturity of GameFi in 2025. After all, GameFi is one of the first doors for blockchain and crypto to reach the real needs of users: playing.

- Until now, many people are still crazy about tap mining games because of the recent success of notcoin. And it is known that on this day, many people are waiting for the hamster kombat to show what they really plan to do.
But like others, I expect that many people will feel disappointment and frustration in this hamster kombat. It's lost in the minds of most people that they can't earn a lot of value from airdrops if there are millions of participants who participated in them.

IF in GameFi huge gaming studios take part then things will change, otherwise the GameFi will remain as a flop model in crypto world. I've never seen a good crypto game whose main focus was on gameplay because each play to earn game was created in a way to give fake hope in the minds of the investors that they could earn profits by purchasing NFTs.
In the end always those project owners were the ones who made profit while majority of the investors faced huge losses when the tokens of those play to earn games start losing value. There was a game named Thethan Arena which got attention of the investors in its early days and if I'm not wrong then in its early days NFTs were costing over $1000 but now most of those NFTs are selling at $10 for less than $2.

As of now, I can only forsee more games similar to NOT coin coming up in the future. There is already a game known as Hamster Kombat which is getting the hype and has one of the biggest communities in the P2E category. If this game becomes more successful than NOT then we can expect more such tap games with some changes to make them unique. I think the future of P2E is now with Telegram bots as they can deliver much more now than previously.

The developers of these games know that there is nothing new to offer in the releases, so instead of thinking outside the box, they are looking to stir up controversy by incorporating NFTs, AI, or whatever people are talking about in the games. Simplicity sometimes brings more pleasure than trying new things.

Some of the world's largest game publishers have entered GameFi after seeing its potential, meaning we will have many new games to experience and earn money in the future. Currently, we have many traditional games with the function of earning money through tournaments or buying accessories, which means that the opportunities and directions for GameFi are still very clear and potential.
However, the GameFi trend has not returned yet and most of the old games are no longer played, NFT prices are not supported at all and most of them have returned to $0 or been delisted on NFT marketplaces. I don't think this is a good time to play games and earn money, maybe investing in native coins of gaming platforms will be more suitable and potential.

I agree with you, at current situation one should avoid investing any money in those play to earn games and instead of that one may invest the money in native coins of the gaming platforms as those could gain value because of the bull run.
I even suggest them to do deep research on those gaming platforms and then buy their native coins and when they see 10% or more increase in value of those coins then they should sell those native coins to make some profit.

I was stuck and had a lot of losses on P2E games and didn't even get any updates to date.
I didn't buy in the form of coins, but it was in the form of NFTs that eventually plummeted in price and were not even worth it anymore.
I wouldn't suggest getting into obscure P2E or even investing in p2E gaming platform coins because in the end it will just be left out and the price of the coin has no power to rise.
If you are still making a profit, it is better to just sell it, it is still better to save and invest in the top coins that are obvious.

There will be lots of projects, which, unfortunately, going after the fame which NOT had, won't have such good intentions or drops like the one we had. We shall always stay vigillant because of that, so our time and effort would be spent on the projects that really deserve it.
