Title: Will the current meme craze end soon?
Post by: Sarionadukecom on June 26, 2024, 07:29:20 PM
Hi. Good day. For the past couple of months, the general market has declined, with major altcoins dropping by 20-30%. However, one thing has remained constant: memecoins have been bullish. Hundreds are launching daily on different blockchains. Some do well, while others, as you know, rug within a few days.

A few have made the rounds on Dex Screener recently, such as ROSA, BIAO, and BRETT. Nevertheless, I feel the meme mania might not end anytime soon. Have you been profiting from memecoins? What do you think?

Many memecoins are pump/dump, so you cannot take the data of the past two months to indicate the upward trend of these currencies.
The meme mania is caused by the price and the fact that more projects are being created, in addition to the possibility that Elon Musk will tweet about Dogecoin. These are psychological reasons rather than a real variable in the market.

People will need a new trend or model that they will invest in and hype to make a profit; if there's no replacement, then the meme coin saga or trend continues, the meme trend continues because it has the backing of one of the wealthiest men on Earth, the support must be taken out first, for the trend to wane and of course, they need a suitable replacement that is much better than a meme.

Most altcoins have fallen 100% or more.

When altcoins will dump, many people will lose money. They are meme coins that have no purpose than to invest in it and make money and sell it if you make money from it.

I am sure that memecoins will continue to be making big headlines as some projects make it to the top and into many exchanges and of course many are making big bucks along the way. In my analysis, memecoins have become like the playground for human's greed and as long as we are all greedy then memecoins will be here to stay. Now, I am not involved in any memecoin so far all because we usually see successful ones but we tend to forget those projects who are now gone with the end and the investors who lost good amount of money. Surely, there are extreme possible rewards in investing with memecoins but since we are also seeing an avalanche of new launches we could find it hard to select which one will really make it in the market...and this is where the risks are. I still prefer solid projects with a lot of use-cases and under developers we can trust.

Not necessarily. There were a lot of trends and they disappeared in a short time. A few years ago, mining was a hot topic and everyone was looking for miners, then forks, then ICOs, then POS, then memecoins, then L2 L3. Therefore, DeFi is almost the only trend that will remain with us because it mentions concepts. In general, since all cryptocurrencies are DeFi and deal mainly with decentralized platforms, he will be with us because we need those platforms.

Just like other users mentioned a majority of new coins that are released are actually pump and dump schemes . Now such coins cannot really be used to store value like bitcoin however they can be used to make profit especially by traders and those who understand the pump and dump mechanism.
Some persons are able to invest in such meme coins during the period of their pump thus helping them gain profit off the coins after which at some usually predetermined point, the coin is dumped.

I believe pump and dump won't be ending any time soon since it's actually more profitable for traders that understand it properly.

I've been exploring the memecoin space and noticed the same trend. Despite the market decline, memecoins like ROSA have remained bullish. I recently got into ROSA on Bitget, which is a dog-themed memecoin on the Solana network. What I like about it is the strong community vibe and the unique perks like exclusive merchandise and events for holders.

It’s been a mix of fun and strategy, navigating through the hype. So far, it's been an interesting journey with ROSA and Bitget.
