Title: Privacy: You are worthless without your data to these companies
Post by: admin on June 28, 2024, 09:28:55 PM

Do you know that facebook blocks you from seeing pages when using a VPN.
Why ? Does this have a relation with wanting to know everything people are interested in ?

Do you know that you can not see any Reddit page with VPN.
Again why? if you are logged off why does it matter if you use vpn or not ?

Do you know that no matter whether you use VPN or not, Youtube is able to recognise you when you are not logged in.

>> Makes you wonder about privacy and big data

Sure, they all want to know what you are doing, searching, browsing and watching all the time.
I don't use Facebook for years and I don't care what they are doing, but Instagram is doing the same thing, and ownership is the same ...berg.
There is a way to use Redlib instead of reddit for reading posts, but they are making it harder.
Instead of y0utube we can use Freetube or Invidious, for now at least, but yt is always making small changes to disable this.

One universal solution is to spend more time outside and offline.

If you use a VPN you are private I think they do this for account security purposes because VPNs can mask malicious activities or account restrictions because using a VPN can violate their terms and agreements and for data, they use your data to have more personalized content. When accessing the web we must be more mindful of our digital footprint and let us protect our privacy.

All we want is privacy but many of these online social media were blocking every means to having privacy with the use of their platforms, but in cryptocurrency, we can achieve privacy as such we are already having on a platform like this whereby everyone is existing independently without taking the risk of loosing any informations or data, but the centralized platforms could not permit for all these, but what they will tell you is because they wanted to shield against the attempt of scammers over the use of their platforms.

It is obvious data is the new gold. These your instances have proved that cliche to be true. Your data is worth more to those guys than you think and that means we have to take privacy serious these days.
Always be on the guard for lapses

The reason facebook sometimes blocks accounts using vpn is because it also keeps a list of IP address ranges known to use VPN. Even the IP address will be checked every time when you login to your facebook account. Through this they are sure that you are the real facebook owner. Moreover facebook can also track you with a VPN if you allow it to do so. I know that the VPN unblocks Reddit by replacing your original IP address with another one, so it looks like you're scrolling to the different location.

Considering the rate of increasing scam on the internet with the use of face and the likes, they have set in some security measures in place that enables them detect for any attempt on the use of vpn and as such is being detected, they quickly block users account for that purpose, though its not what should be done as fast like that, but there are other suspicious links whereby users may engage and their account get blocked.

That is how centralized services and the government operates, they want to know everything about you, they are totally anti-privacy. That is the world we live in today, were anyone who tries to live privately is accused of having something to hide, i.e. BTC privacy solutions have taken a big hit this year, as the government is attacking them and charging them for money laundering; it is so hard to stay private in our world nowadays and it will only get worst.

The control of the world starts with the control of every individual, and one secret agent in the US once said something along the lines of "once upon a time, we had to extract information from people, today they share it publicly on social networks". Of course, what people write privately is much more interesting, and for that you need a backdoor into the systems, and do we even doubt that they have them?

I try to give them all as little data as possible, no matter how hard it is sometimes, but if they won't let me visit a site with VPN or Tor, then I simply won't visit it.

I can confirm that I have used Reddit with a VPN several times and it has always worked, and I recently verified that it still works. Maybe Reddit blocks some VPN services and their IP addresses?
