For the last few weeks I have found myself tuning into the trials on tv nightly. Swimming, Track and field, and today gymnastics. Some of it is cool to see and other parts suck ass.
Do the trials interest you guys?

I never followed the Olympics closely, even though some streaming services that I used offered them. I'm not sure why, but one reason is probably because I'm only interested in a number of sports like football, volleyball, etc. If I'm free and bored, then yeah I can watch them, but I won't make an effort to follow them closely such as scheduling my day around them. Maybe the fact that there are tons of highlight channels on YouTube for a competition like this also reduces my interest in watching them live.

Yes, ever since we won our first gold medal, everyone has been monitoring trials to see who among our best athletes will go to the Olympics, and so far, our boxers, gymnasts, and track and field delegates have delivered; basketball is our favourite pastime, but boxing is what we are looking into to deliver our second gold.
We are excited to watch the Olympics and see our athletes perform, and we are hopeful that at least winning one goal and a few more will excite us.

Of course, although unlike before that I was always glued on TV, not it's more on the social media feed that is appearing on my accounts. Love the track and field, specially it seems that US has the number right now against the Jamaicans, as obviously Bolt is retired already and then the US have Noah Lyles.
Same in the women's side, Sha'Carri Richardson is making a huge comeback against his arch rival in the Jamaican side. So it's going to be very interesting but I think the US is going to dominate the track and field for this Paris Olympics.

Yes, I like the Olympic games, they are something wonderful, especially in those sports where professionals do not attend, although in that sense the Olympic games have changed a lot because in order to gain followers they have admitted some professionals athletes.

Admittedly, I am not a sports buff since I am more of a "lazy" guy who sometimes prefer sleep over physically straining activities but then again I love watching volleyball most especially with international teams and of course I also like watching basketball though I am not really so familiar with the rules of the games. For now, I can only count famous sportsmen with my fingers but hopefully with the coming Olympics I can add more. As to trials, I still do not have the time for that though I will be closely watching the Olympics games from my country most especially our national players. The Olympics is the time for a global celebration of excellence, peace through sports and cultural understanding through interactions...though sadly humanity seems not to be listening to this message as the world right now is building up weapons and armaments for a possible worldwide conflict in our generation.

Yes, the Olympics interest me because this is where the countries bring out their best athletes to fight for the gold medal, I mostly watch basketball, my favorite sport. I want to watch and support my country's basketball team and also the NBA players who are playing for their country face off against each other. It makes me motivated to see my country win a match.

Olympic Games is going to be biggest sport competition this year after EURO 2024 and everyone can find sport to follow.
I think that basketball tournament will be most interesting to watch, we have top teams from whole world and many great players are participating.
There are many NBA players confirmed for Olympics and Still, the USA will have LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Anthony Edwards, and others.

I haven't really been tuned in to the Olympics, I see the news on social media and what the "extravagant" thing has happened looks like. It's important to note that the things that are not so "usual" are the ones being shared on social media, so the expected winners in different sports are not usually televised.
I would be looking forward to the highlights though, if it has.

Yeah, it is comprehensible that not all people share the enthusiasm for the Olympics, which is more than okay. Some just do not have much interest in individual sporting activities or perhaps they prefer not to watch sporting activities that are not typically televised. And that's okay! Individuals have their own favorite sports that they like most.
Like, some people are literally born and bred with team sports as soccer, basketball, football and what not? They adore the passion, the challenge, the passion of wining (or even the fear of losing, lol). And that's awesome! Those sports attract a lot of fans, and it is so simple to fall in love with it.
But the Olympics, yeah, they are a bit different they are a kind of another world where everyone is trying to achieve the same thing. Many of them can be kind of obscure, and it is not always a pleasure to reach out to athletes you do not often cover.

The Olympic games interest me when I catch a glimpse of it showing on the TV channel I turn to. That's how I find myself watching them on TV. But on a norm to know when Olympic games start and end, or find the need to watch them, I don't think it comes across my memory to watch how the Olympic games are going on which country wins more of the gold or silver medals
-
I was more interested in the Olympics years ago. But both the winter and summer games do attract me a bit.
-
I think every sport fans are going to be interested in the Olympics, like in my case since 88 if I'm not mistaken, I started to follow Olympics. And obviously the influence of my father to me, specially boxing, is what interest me in sports and then it trickle down to basketball and otheres.
And this is a big event, happening only every 4 years and before we haven't won our first gold medal yet, so you have to watch and cheer for your country men or women to bring you that elusive god and so she did and so it's good to watch again this year in Paris is she can duplicate her feat and others too to win medals for our country.

I'm a big fan of the Olympics, particularly the gymnastics and racing events. I never miss these competitions. But I tend to skip the soccer matches, as I prefer watching league soccer. The Olympic gymnastics and racing events always have my full attention.

The Olympics games is the highest level of sports so it's the gethering of the best when it comes to sports as all the different sports are involved in the Olympics. Olympics games are one of the exciting events that people look out for especially when it an Olympic year. Different Olympics record are sets in every Olympics so it's the prayer of every sporting man and woman to participate in the Olympics as they represent their different countries of origin

Olympics is a very large events that involves all games you can think of. I wonder how they use to air al event in that competition and how fans from different countries will go and support and cheer their countryman or countrywoman up when they’re participating in the game. It is not like it interests me that much, it doesn’t have that competitiveness in the games they play there and the many games involved makes it even more confusing for the game to follow. I don’t really derive interest in it, but when I come across one that is interesting, I watch and learn from new games too.
-
It used to interest me when I was young, but after learning and knowing it being a mere political tool of various governments over the world where particular games of some nations are prioritized from rest of world's nations and remain part of Olympics and with various variations, just for them to get more and more medals, I started losing interest in it and I no longer find it entertaining.

You should be naturally drawn to sporting activities if you like sports. You will not care if it is the trials or the main competition itself; whether it is a highlight of a past sporting event or a live one, you will just want to watch. I was not very impressed with the opening ceremony of the Olympics, but I still followed on some sporting events that I like, like athletics, swimming, football, table tennis, and the new Breakdancing, which was a ridicule to what I know as Breakdancing.

that is true at the end of the day, it’s sports and we love to see talented and dedicated athletes battling it out on any platform available it is even more interesting to see your country competing and supporting them to do better

breakdancing as a new sports was a bit odd not gonna lie i don’t know if people would really consider this as a sport let alone a sport that deserves to be in the olympics and as per the opening ceremony i would say it’s okay not the best but it wasn’t such a disaster
