Unfortunately for me I no longer make use of Kucoin after the delisting of NGN in their P2P market, back then I was actively making use of the convert feature since unlike spot I won’t have to pay any fee to convert my bitcoin or altcoin to usdt before selling - I would have been able to take a share from the $20,000 price pool but since I don’t have any use for the exchange there’s no need for me to make any deposit to compete in it.

I can tell you for certain or sure that this bonus is absolutely nothing, except you you yourself have gotten a share and can confirm it makes sense, otherwise, I won't advice anyone to waste their time on this, cus at the end of the day, the highest a user can win is from $5 and nothing more than $10, and you can't even withdraw this money; as it will be credited to margin trading account, which simply means that you must use it for margin trading, and you can only withdraw the profit you made trading margin, this is if you are lucky to make any profit, else, you still will lose the money back to them(kucoin).

So, honestly don't waste your time chasing this bonus, it's nothing to really take seriously.

Convert trading is simpler than spot trading and has no trading fees.

There are many exchanges that has convert like Binance, OKX, Bybit and many other exchanges. Convert fee on these exchanges are usually $0.

After Kucoin is demanding for VAT, they started convert. I see convert to be useful for newbies and those that do not want to trade with fee included . Most exchanges makes the convert fee to be free because most traders are using spot trading most.

I think Kucoin is using this to encourage Nigerians not to leave their exchange as a result of the VAT that they have started.

Lols kucoin way wan act like MTN for we country wey be say if them give you something them go used another way take collect am from you. No be them I hear say dey take 7 percentage for all their transaction from Nigerians?
Okay you done reason how this game wan take play for the exchange, like them go first introduce wetin go attracts people attention to the exchange after which them go used indirect ways to take recover those money quickly and then done already implement am say them go begin collect 7 percentage as VAT to all nigeria traders.

I think few people already said this that lot of exchange offers convert method, Binance, Bybite and some other exchanges does it.

Your points are very correct sir. Ever since the suspension of Nigeria p2p platform from most of the Mega exchanges, Nigerians using these  platforms reduced drastically because that features was amongst the major reasons why Nigerians are fully patronising their services including kucoin.

This give away is just a jamboree because Nigerians would not near there as they have nothing to benefit from the exchange since they can no longer trade p2p and withdraw in cash coupled with the fact that they have implemented tax payment on transactions which we all know that the government to benefit from it has not fully declared their stand on Crypto in the nation and have been at disposition with Crypto enthusiast making it difficult for Crypto operations in the country and yet they deem it fit implementing Crypto taxation via third party exchange having Nigerians trading on their platforms.

From the post made by OP, the sharing is not even a direct one that would benefit  Nigerians as long as they use the features but rather a possible raffle to win which means that not all Nigerians who take part in the exercise would benefit from the $20k  covert Win exercise so what is the point getting involved and stressing yourself when at the entire end you will not be able to make use of p2p but rather paying fees for transferring  assets from exchange to exchange just for a covert Win when you are not sure of it. It's better to remain where ever you are and continue your trading because nothing come out for the Convert and win exercise.

I don’t think this is going to work though, I don’t see any service that Kucoin offers that could help keep some Nigerians to their company - the p2p that even brought some people to their site has been stopped.

The rewards from this type of thing are not usually much due to the number of perplexed that participate in them so once the contest ends a lot of people who went to the site because of this will also leave - to me it feels like a fruitless attempt to get people to their site.

It was because of the p2p that we were and are using Centralized exchanges. And any exchange that removed p2p then automatically loss the participation of Nigerians too. People that using p2p for trading are just few. And most people used apps to trade and not for exchange. And as Charles -Tim said the $20,000 is just a trap for the Nigerian participants because they would not give out that amount to participants of the trade. And if you win s your won't withdraw them but to trade again. It is only those who are not wise fall for this kind of temptation. And if they want Nigerians to participate in their services then their should introduce p2p and that can settle the issue.

Exactly, dem supposed to reason that one before dem delist NGN trading pear comot for their p2p trading, normally Na kucoin I been use before but as dem just remove NGN Na there our business take end, and I believe say dem go also loss many Nigerian customers for there  service so, this one wey dem dey do Na just to use am take reawaken their users to come back, but the truth is that, until dem add the NGN p2p I no sure dem go get Wattin dem dey find in good masses. Though our government is also to be blamed for the delisting as e be say Na dem dey ginger all these exchange to make all the unfavourable changes but if at all I no fit go back kucoin because of one bonus offer wey fit no reach my hand sef.

I will still say it again Kucoin is doing like an exchange being run by a Nigerian because of the way they are doing their things. They started taking VAT and now they are coming up with bonus to decieve who abi them forget say we be Nigerians and we dey use our head. I was managing the exchange before but as them come up with VAT omo I don abandon them o after all no benefit. Instead of me to use Kucoin that does not have Naira p2p, I will prefer to use Binance but na only Naira p2p exchange sure pass for now. If they want a Nigerians to use Kucoin, let them bring back Naira p2p after all Bybit and Bitget wey still get Naira p2p never shut down.

According to google results they are not owned by a Nigerian - although they are still behaving like a shitty exchange and not even ready to take feedbacks seriously and work on improving their service, I guess that’s the reason we all thought at one point in time that a Nigerian must have been behind all this things.

Even when they had P2P service some people didn’t use it because of the lack of good service - prices were being manipulated by merchants, they’ll set a price and then use a different rate to pay those selling their coin. It was one of the worst p2p I have ever seen since I started selling.

Kucoin do not even look like a Nigerian exchange at all. Exchanges owned by Nigerians are too simple in UI. Kucoin looks like other international exchanges like Binance, Bybit et cetera but their P2P service may not be up to standard.

The VAT is small in percentage.

I have used Kucoin for both spot and future trading before and it was good. What I do not like about the exchange is the high fee that they charge.

Exactly you talk well. Kucoin e no look like Nigeria crypto company. And all their dealings and customer care service na international. Di way Kucoin operate e dey different from Busha and Yellow card wey be Nigerian companies. And for di charges, I never used Kucoin for spot and other trading so I can't really tell. But I have been using it to make transfers and p2p trading. And Kucoin was among the top 4 best centralized exchanges in my observation. Though all of them have one characteristic dat I don't like which was the currency manipulation.

However, it cannot be said that KuCoin is similar to a Nigerian type of crypto company because all operations and customer support are for customers all over the world. This is something much different from platforms like Busha, Yellow Card, which are more localized and operate in the Nigerian market only. Regarding fees, if you never traded on KuCoin in spot trading, it can be quite tricky to evaluate, still, you performed P2P transfers and trading what should give you a vision about their quality. KuCoin must indeed be to among the top 4 centralized exchanges it is reasonably excellent although currency manipulation or otherwise common on most centralized exchanges is a vice that many users do find annoying.

From what I saw in their twitter page, it seems like the campaign has already ended since it started on July 11th to July 18th. It was just a week contest not something that was meant to last long and since then I really haven’t seen any other campaign from them so it’s most likely not something that was done to appease Nigerians.
