Title: From Spike to Pepe: Can Spike Achieve the Same Recognition?
Post by: Fhiyyerh on July 15, 2024, 01:36:59 PM
Upon my research today, I stumbled across information stating that Pepe isn’t the first piece of art originally created by Matt Furie. Spike is the funny meme drawing that inspired $PEPE character. This makes me wonder if Spike was abandoned by Matt Furie after his success with Pepe. And I often think about what he did differently with Pepe. But Do you think Spike will be recognized and get listed by exchanges just like $PEPE?

Pepe became a meme well before crypto, it was used like a meme back when MySpace still existed while others didn't gain any traction at all, as a meme coin you can't just get every character and drawing of an author and think they will all have the same success. There were millions using that meme before the coin, can't expect millions to use a coin just because the sketch was drawn by the same guy.

A meme coin won't just generate users because it's a meme coin, a coin will get traction if the meme is already widespread by the time you mint it, like doge and pepe.

I am not so sure that SPIKE will be getting the same market reponse that PEPE got. And maybe there are reasons why Matt Furie "abandoned" Spike over PEPE and I guess only the man can tell us what actually happened. I guess we now know that the memecoins market is very much saturated as it would be so easy for anyone to start one and hope that a strong, big community can come later. Of course, a big majority of memecoins will just die on the road and only a very few will actually get into the top and be famous as well as valuable. I am not into memecoins but then I can feel the excitement as well as the wealth created once there will be one that will shine in the market. I am even thinking of launching my own memecoin though I know that nobody might like and be interested with my idea.

Matt dropped Pepe before it became an internet meme, he stopped the comic series in 2012 and just by chance it got picked by 4chan and transformed into what it is now, spike never managed to get there in the first place and it lacks everything to become an internet meme, and coins made out of nothing relly don't fare well.

Is this a dog? Spike sounds like a dog name.

Anyway, I think it is not because Matt Furie Created it And it became Famous but it is because of the image itself that Pepe gives right? I know, but I don’t know the name Matt Furie that he created it.

Is it captivating Like Pepe?

It's like the concept of planting plants, there will be plants that are not fertile and there will be plants that are fertile, the more plants you plant, the greater the chance that there will be many plants that will be fertile.

Memecoins are the same... we all can't be sure that just one meme coin is enough to be successful... so lots of meme coins are created to increase the chances that there will be a successful memecoin someday. Making lots of coin memes is like copy paste... however, the luck for each meme created will be different... so there's nothing wrong with a lot of coin memes popping up now because they want to get that luck which is very random and even difficult to predict for investors or small trader.
