WazirX got hacked and they even confirmed it yesterday, damn that's scary. I have an account there but I haven't used it in a long time and I have no cash or anything there phew. I hope you guys reading this weren't affected by the hack either or hopefully don't use them
This is just like a reminder of how strong hackers are in this crypto space and if you use a CEX that doesn't have top notch security you might just fall for them. I heard some of these hackers are backed by big countries like North Korea looking for funds to finance military research even though I don't know if it's true
Seems they even suspended INR withdrawals, even in India that barely has a lot of options left to use. I'm guessing they are all looking for new exchanges now
Anyone here affected by the hack? Are WaxirX making efforts to reimburse the affected?

No one yet know. But the exchange is still functioning? I hope people will not lose their coins. This is one of the inconveniences not to leave coins on exchanges. Those that are in haste to use some of their coins for something do not have access to their coins right now. Very bad.

Damn this ain't good. Sorry to the affected users though . This makes me appreciate the effort by platforms like Bitget in staying ahead in terms of users security. It's also good to diversify though .
They are all centralized exchange and anything can happen to the exchange at anytime. People will not be surprised if Bitget get hacked because even Binance that is bigger than the exchange and other well known and reputed exchanges like Kucoin and many others have been hacked in the past. I will prefer to have my coins on a noncustodial wallet.

That's what I'm saying. For now there' hasn't been any history of hacks on it and I think that deserves commendation. But we can't be too careful so I respect your decision 😎
