Title: The BNB Chain Fusion - Beacon chain will be retired
Post by: bee on July 20, 2024, 03:11:06 AM
I visited their page[1] recently, it looks like they have been in the process of retiring their Beacon chain validator nodes since a few months ago and will only continuing the network onto BSC chain. The holders of BNB Beacon and its wrapped coins are expected to migrate[2] theirs as soon as possible to BSC within the deadline of mid-August.
The EVM chain ecosystem seems more attractive to them.

I read that 12% of all tokens on the blockchain are scam-related, which is a leading blockchain ecosystem whose goal is to support decentralized projects, but why is it being stopped now? I did not use the BNB network due to the centralization of the network.

This retiring is certainly not in order to clean up and solve the scam-related token problems. I see the Beacon network ecosystem is indeed not as developed as the BSC network. I can guess that it won't bring good future prospects and is almost useless to maintain.

If so, it is indeed better to break away from BSC and focus on your own network, because not all coins can be successful, if there is no development, the coin will disappear.

I support the merger and we will have BNB Chain Fusion = BNB chain + Beacon chain. I have been following the development of the BNB ecosystem but have been almost unimpressed with any project on the Beacon Chain. The best projects like Pancake, Venus, Ren, Mobox, Alpaca... are all featured on the BNB chain (BSC).

This merger can help the #DevelopmentTeam  focus on the BNB chain instead of continuing to maintain the Beacon chain. Users even often use WBNB on the BNB chain instead of BNB on the Beacon chain. In my opinion, the disappearance of the Beacon chain will not have any negative impact on the future of the BNB chain.
