DeFi and AMMs have been crucial in crypto since the Uniswap airdrop. Many DeFi airdrops followed, but none matched UNI's significance. People now avoid retroactive airdrops probably due to the TON ecosystem's Tap2Earn.
I don't participate in these activities, except for Telegram Dogs. I prefer to use DEXs like Slingshot and LiquidSwap on Aptos and more. I mentioned liquidswap because their LSD airdrop surprised me and exchanges announcements have been made, but I haven't delved deeper.
I'm curious about people's opinions on retroactive airdrops and LSD investments as I'm not sure if I'm going get enough from it. Also, are there still ways to earn more LSD?

Retroactive airdrops were very popular about a year ago, when Layer-1 and Layer-2 related projects were introduced and launched, many hunters also earned huge rewards and became rich. However, this wave soon cooled down when we didn't have many more truly potential projects, instead, there were failed or fraudulent projects that deceived users.
The DeFi trend will soon return and LSD investors will certainly make a profit from the market's excitement. You can continue to follow LSD and LRD projects to get multi-layer profits from your tokens. However, LSD & LRD come with instability in the event of a sudden market downturn, so you also need to have really good portfolio management skills to protect your profits and capital.

What I learned from following crypto since 8 years ago is that overinvesting on a trend is bad. We have ICO, IEO, launchpad, airdrop, etc and most of them died down after a few months or so. Then a new trend comes out, with slightly different feature from the previous one and suddenly everyone is hyped again. I failed to sell tokens I got from airdrop and most of them turns into nothing today, so a long-term prospect should not be expected except for the first few ones who started the trend like UNI IMO. If you plan to try and look for airdrops, it's probably a good idea to sell asap. Anyway, not a financial advice. DYOR and DWYOR.

I'd add that its good to sell portion of airdrop received asap and secure some profits but it's not always good idea to sell all. For example, I sold $UNI at mere $4, it rose to more than $40 a piece, sold $TIA at $3 and it went $20+.
