Which exchange is currently more popular worldwide? Binance is definitely for me. Which expansion do you like and which one do you feel better using? I feel very comfortable using Binance and its settings and its functions seem very easy to me.

Do you means centralized exchanges.
You can check this website for spit trading exchanges: https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges
This for derivative exchanges: https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/derivatives
This for web3: https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/decentralized
This for no KYC exchanges: https://kycnot.me/

I'd go with Binance too. Although, I don't use it due to KYC, I stick to dexes myself but my friends use it and experience has been good (including p2p trading). Plus, their SAFU fund also gives one feeling of security.
-
I don't know if the discussion is focused exclusively on traditional exchange platforms, the OP didn't emphasize anything.
I certainly wouldn't rule out https://exch.cx/, which is slowly taking a serious place in exchangers ground.
At this point eXch remains:
The centralized non-KYC exchange #1 with daily trading volumes approximating at 150-200 BTC (which indicates a top-30 or even a top-20 rank in centralized exchanges)
The centralized non-KYC exchange #1 with the on-chain capital estimating at ~15.000.000 USD (now with a proper support team also)
The only fully non-KYC exchange with genuine and authentic on-chain trading data and volumes being continuously ignored on purpose by CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko and DefiLlama because their holders believe privacy is a crime, even that they perfectly know that their market data and statistics are incomplete without exchanges like ours.

the popular exchanges before 2017 had already been buried in the exchange rankings and some even filed bankruptcy. binance has the advantage since they were popular before 2020. binance is not following those popular exchanges that ends up not competing the new ones, i still can see binance ads which they still grab the new crypto users despite their are sanctions against the exchange on the countries they operate without license.
even when binance was blocked, there are users still keep using binance. there are just users not open to submitting KYC to other exchanges.

^ People have trust in Binance that they find it hard to put elsewhere.
In India Binance was blocked for lack of compliance, and hence Binance.com is blocked on most of Indian ISPs — I can access it on my local WiFi provider but not on sim Internet (and apparently, binance.in domain redirects to completely different website altogether), also their app has been removed from play store but those who already have app can freely use it.

Binance is a go-to solution, however, I myself stick to OKX. It's faster for me and more convenient, in my opinion.

There are others like Bybit, Bitget, BitMart and some others that are good for spot and derivative trading. Binance and OKX are also good but there are many other options to go for. But these are centralized exchanges. Go up and click on the link that I posted to see the ones for decentralized exchanges, non KYC exchanges and Web3.

Buying cryptocurrency requires an exchange platform through which we can buy cryptocurrency. If I look at a recent list of good exchanges, Binance is not ranked high. Currently Kraken, Gemini, Crypto.com, KuCoin, Coinbase these crypto exchanges are placed ahead in the ranking. And this ranking has Forbes Advisor ranking these exchanges top for both newbies and veterans. Although I personally use Binance and Kucoin. I love both of these exchanger interfaces and features. These two exchange platforms are quite effective for both a novice and an expert trader.

Their only drawback is that they have a small range of supported cryptocurrencies. They are a good option for those who want to exchange Bitcoin to stablecoin or Monero, but the number of supported tokens is very small.

Why does it matter what crypto exchanges are popular?
Using something only because it's popular and other people are using the same thing is sheep like behavior and repeating the same thing.
Majority with their herd mentality is usually wrong about anything and they are just following the latest trend in everything.
It's much better to use and support decentralized exchanges with self-custodial wallets.

Popular implies that many people are using the exchange and that could possibly be so because the exchange is providing good service. If what is popular works fine, why should one go elsewhere?
You mention decentralized exchanges and non-custodial wallets, will you go for wallets like mycellium/electrum which are popular and trusted or elsewhere?

I'm also a loyal user of Binance due to the satisfaction I get from using their user-friendly services. CZ truly understands customer needs and provides the best when it comes to IEO, staking, saving, P2P...
Besides Binance, GateIo and KuCoin are the CEXs I frequently use. Some other CEXs are also very popular such as OKX, Bybit, Bitget, CoinEx, HTX but I haven't even felt the need to create an account to experience them. Decentralizing the trading process on CEX is good too but I don't want to make the management of my crypto assets difficult.

Just go with the flow and follow the herd...what could go wrong ::)
I hear that cow crap is very popular in India, so I guess that means everyone should use that holly product.
You mention decentralized exchanges and non-custodial wallets, will you go for wallets like mycellium/electrum which are popular and trusted or elsewhere?
I don't care about popular crap, and I don't use mycellium that is not popular at all.
Electrum didn't have any competition for a long time so your comparison is silly, but there are good alternatives now like Sparrow wallet.

Attacking the nationality? you can do better than that.
Plus, you say 'I hear' — that's hearsay, and as good as sheepish mentality you are speaking against of.

Yes, sparrow is good wallet and it's gotten popular lately too , would you like to switch to different wallet?

I think CZ already stepped down from Binance? I don't think he can influence what new products Binance offers to their users, at least openly. CMIIW, but their current CEO is Richard Teng.
This is my first time hearing about HTX, I guess I'm a bit out of date with the market. It doesn't help that I don't interact with international exchanges currently. I believe most people in my area do the same thing if what they wanted is a way to liquidate their crypto to fiat. That being said, my local exchanges definitely try to copy what popular exchanges do with their saving/staking products.

Yep, he is not at the helm of Binance anymore and instead he is in the prison at the moment. With that being said, I doubt that he stilll doesn't have a final say on Binance related stuff.
This is my first time hearing about HTX, I guess I'm a bit out of date with the market.
Huobi (and I am sure that you heared about them) rebranded to HTX some time ago. Imho not a smart move as it sounds too similar to FTX

I agree that Binance is the most popular exchange, but I do not agree that it is the most convenient and I will note that Binance is not the safest exchange, Binance managers are very unreliable people and they can bend to any regulators and limit you or someone else's access to assets simply because they are told to do so, they do not worry about their users and we do not need to do this either. In fact, there are a lot of good and reliable exchanges and you should not get hung up on just one exchange because it is in the top 1 in terms of trading volume.

I prefer Bybit. Bitget is also good. Not that Binance is better than all these exchanges. I have used them before and they are as good as Binance. It is better to explore before comparing.
Decentralizing the trading process on CEX is good too but I don't want to make the management of my crypto assets difficult.
I do not understand this. You can not decentralized anything on a centralized exchanges.

Yes you are right that CZ is no longer in charge of Binance so he might not have say in what new things they offer. But he was important to company so his ideas might still matter. New CEO, Richard Teng is big change and it is interesting to see what happens next.
Local exchanges often copy what popular exchanges do like ways to save and earn interest on your crypto. This shows how connected crypto world is and how people want new and exciting things. But if you ask me so I will rate OKX exchange after Binance. And this is good exchange. I experienced with and it runs smoothly.

I prefer to use site like Coingecko for my rating. You can see how it is rated on Coingecko https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges
But because an exchange is the first on the list, that does not mean I am going to use it for some things. Example is that I prefer to use OKX because it has cheaper withdrawal fee than Binance. So if I want to withdraw bitcoin, I prefer OKX.
If I want to trade, I prefer Bybit. I like its trading than on Binance. I like its candle stick animation than Binance. Also it is easy for me to change from spot to derivative trading on Bybit than how it is on most exchanges.

Personally, I use more of Binance and MEXC. It’s a very interesting exchanges and a lot of coins to trade from. Listing various projects that are worth investing in to.
I don't mind being in CEXs but would like to use more DEXs for my trading. There are both pros and cons for this IMO.

It is definitely Binance for me. Before I get to know of anything about cryptocurrency, I knew binance first and the first crypto bank that comes to mind since that time. Later did I knew we had more exchanges and that there are also wallets that can be used to save money and are fully in your custody. I have used many exchanges but I haven’t seen the one that has beaten binance or has more reliable characteristics features like them. I’m not displeased by performance of other exchanges, they’re actually doing the same thing but I enjoy more customer satisfaction and lovely interface in binance than any other exchange platform.

Binance has been the most popular CEX since I entered the crypto world, it's exchange app quite easy to comprehend and it's always placed no.1 according to CMC ranking based on 24hrs Volume.
Other exchanges like Upbit, Coinbase, OKX, Bybit, Kucoin, Bitget, Gate.io etc are also known and popular CEXs which are also very easy to use and offer users reliability and easy accessibility.
For time now, I make use of Gate.io for my crypto trading.

People choose exchanges differently, for some privacy is not a concern, so they use binance, okx, bybit, etc, they simply have to pass kyc and they can start using it, for some others, they don't want to pass kyc, so they use exchanges like bisq and Peach bitcoin, so it depends on the user. You can check this website to get a list of no-kyc exchanges: https://bitlist.co/

Just keep in mind that CMC is basically owned by Binance, so you should take those data with a grain of salt. I would at least compare their data with one or two more aggregators that don't have any ties with Bnance. It would be even better to check on our own without doing any KYC. Sadly most of them no longer features easy access like that. It's a good idea to check whether they fall victim to a major hack before deciding to use them too. CMIIW.

Maybe you wrote the year wrong, my friend, because Binance was officially launched in 2017. :)
For me, the best one right now and according to what I need, is a local exchanger... it's called Tokocrypto, although it is also related to Binance, but I use Tokocrypto more often than Binance lately... Pairs with local FIAT are the reason why I choose a local exchange, the pair I monitor most often is BTC/IDR and, since Binance can't provide IDR pairs, I switched to Tokocrypto.
Can this be said that I still love Binance? in relation to Tokocrypto has almost the same UI as Binance.

I never use it or i have no information about Tokocrypto. As you using Tokocrypto and you experienced about it so your provided information will true i think. And i will learn about Tokocrypto. And Again thankyou for find out my mistake.

In case you need more information concerning a coin, token or an exchange, then you can have the best information regarding them on the coinmarketcap platform, there you will see their various rankings and a number of the available ones there, and from there you may decide to have a pick up and choose between which you want or not, from my experience, i think Binance and Bybit.

Binance has become very popular and trusted because they don't usually list all types of coins. They only list legit coins. Because of this I feel free to use Binance for exchanges and trading. there user interface is very smooth

It is true that Binance is a very popular exchange, but are you sure they list only 'legit' coins? And what do you even mean by legit coins, a coin can start off as good, but turn out to be a scam later on. I don't trust any centralized exchange anyway, at least not to store my coins, because any of them can be hacked and any of them can also confiscate your funds.

Binance has thousands of coins. Is it possible that all of them would be legit? No. Or let me ask the question in a better way. Is it possible that all the coins will not have the risks of losing your money? No. I have been on Binance since 4 years ago or so and I have seen the exchange delist many coins. Even if you are losing, they do not care because the coin marketcap decrease so much in a way it can becomes a shit coin. It is also good to know that Binance is not the only good exchange.
-

I agree with you, so many binance and cz lovers seem to think that Binance cares about them or about BTC in itself, which isn't true, they mostly care about how much money they are going to make. If they truly cared about BTC, they would not have such a high withdrawal fee for BTC, they would reduce it and make it affordable for people to directly withdraw BTC into their wallets.
-

Exchanges don't want the users to withdraw their assets and high withdrawal fee is indirect way of enforcing it.
Exchange is a business so they obviously cares about making profits and to answer OPs question Binance is big and have huge influence on the market but they also delisted many coins and one of the reason was not enough liquidity means the project eventually died.

Even from the ask on google alone, we are going to discover that exchange like Binance, Bybit and many others are the world most ranked exchanges because they are trusted common and mostly used by the people, though we may also want to consider the new ones coming in place nowadays, but their running pace is getting more higher and they are also trying to focus on how to reach the top of the ladder like the renowned exchanges.
-

I usually refrain from recommending new exchanges to people, that is because it is hard to differentiate the scam ones from those that are genuine. In my honest opinion, it is better to stick to exchanges that have been in the network for a longer time. However, if you must use new exchanges, do not immediately deposit a large amount of money, start with a small amount.

Talking about popularity, we could choose Binance because it has all it takes to be the most populous crypto exchange currently, secondly, this is also what we can see on other reputable social media and crypto platforms, they are being popular becasue they have the highes users which in other terms reffered to as traffic and this includes the way every other information about the exchange increases over others.

Yeah, Binance is very popular and a lot of people use it, though they have run into regulatory challenges in some locations that has made them cease operation in such places, and people who live there have to use other exchanges available.
For someone who is looking for a centralized exchange to trade, binance usually gets the nod, though i don't approve with a few things about the exchange and i don't recommend anyone to store their funds there.

CZ is no longer the Binance CEO and has even been banned from participating in Binance future development, but I believe that right after serving his prison sentence, CZ will still have a significant positive impact on Binance future in some way. No one can stop CZ from sharing his opinions with Teng when they chat in the backyard ^^
HTX is the new name of Huobi after it was acquired by Justin Sun. I don't think that was a wise decision because HTX sounds very similar to FTX >"<
If your country has its own CEX, the government will profit from taxes and user trading fees. I hope you can access many tokens and have good enough liquidity to invest and profit from this market.
-
Most people in cryptocurrency do make use of binance exchange because it has a global reputation, also, many of it data analysis surpasses that of many other exchanges, which makes up its uniqueness, incomparable nature and what using it could being to its users in terms of their services, offers and the networks in which they supported and promote as well.

Lately though, Binance has been listing not-so good coins, look at DOGS, HAMSTER, CATIZEN— do you think those are good? The way it appears they are only listing these coins because they have large userbases, and Binance wants these users to come to them., despite coin itself's quality not being upto the standards.

Inwardly, maybe CZ will continue to be attached to Binance even though in secret... in fact, I think CZ's relationship with Binance is like a package that must be united... we may not see tweets about Binance on CZ's page anymore, but I have an instinct that CZ will still contribute in other forms so that Binance exists.

LOL... in terms of similarity, the name contains 66% similarity because it consists of 2/3 letters TX in its domain. Yes, maybe the letter TX refers to the meaning of "transaction" is more interesting to adopt... and H for Huobi... yes, everyone certainly does not want a bad tragedy to happen again, and HTX should realize that too.
This is very fun tho ;D

These are memecoins and we all know how risky investing in memecoins is. So you have to be careful of them. It is normal for an exchange platform to list tokens of all categories. But I think that Binance lists the best tokens of all categories of tokens. Why should you trust Binance if they don't? And why is Binance the largest and most popular crypto exchange? Can they hold the first position just for the hype? Or are they able to provide good service to users? Why are you using Binance?
-
^ I don't use Binance since they made it mandatory to kyc but I know it is a quality exchange, it just some of listing lately I don't consider them upto the standards, rather it feels like those were purely done due to business perspective, let's see how long those tokens stick around and Binance keeps having them listed.
-
we hve many exchanges and the more we are seeing new ones coming onboard, everyone if us may decide to choose on the measure which they are going to take in other to make use of a crypto wallet, we should understand that exchanges are of two types, the centralized ones and the decentralized ones as well, users may now make use of any parameter in deciding on which they are going for.
-
Crypto is still illegal in my country which is why we can't use it freely. But since we are involved in crypto and online trading, we have to accept exchange services from confidential. But personally i want to accept binance as the best. It is designed for both new and experienced traders. Its user-friendly interface makes trading easy for beginners, while advanced features such as leverage trading and futures contracts cater to seasoned investors. With a focus on security, binance employs sophisticated encryption high security assess for your assets. Its popularity is high so you can definitely use kyc here.
-
Knowing that we have only tow kind pf exchanges, the centralized exchange and the decentralized one, we should know the examples that constitute on each of the category mentioned, as for centralized exchanges, take binance or bybit while if considering for a decentralized exchange, we should go for bisq, some exchanges may claim being decentralized when they are not, this call for more care to be taken.
-
When you are looking for best interface and the best user friendly and the most trusted exchanger in crypto world then we have to definitely name the Binance exchanger. And this is the most popular exchanger currently. I am using it from my journey in crypto industry and I have sawn lots of exchanger but never seen better user friendly interface than the binance exchanger.
Although you are mentioning the popular then Binance is on number no 1 and on the second should be the Bybit in my opinion they are also best for their service in easy withdrawal and fees.

I have to agree that Binance is the best exchange in the crypto world. We all know about Binance exchange but I use Binance and kucoin. I don't know who uses which exchange in the second list but I use kucoin. There are many exchanges in the crypto world and some of them are the best. Near. You put Bybit in the second list. I give kucoin more importance than Bybit because Binance has been using kucoin for a long time after that which is why I will have kucoin in second position.

However, I am talking about the current context because currently, Airdrop is on hype and for investors in Airdrop Hunter or airdrop-related projects Binance will be the best followed by Bybit exchange. Moreover, bybit has various types of authentic deposit and bonus programs from which it is possible to actually profit.
I won't disagree with you because I also use Kucoin and for user-friendly interface I would also say Kucoin ranks next to Binance.

I guess it's time when instant crypto exchanges become more popular. Sure, it's not about Binance, but no KYC and many coins for swaps.
-
Which exchange is currently more popular worldwide? Binance is definitely for me. Which expansion do you like and which one do you feel better using? I feel very comfortable using Binance and its settings and its functions seem very easy to me.
Binance has always been a most dominance global exchange and with its graphics and easy usage features, it has really made it very comfortable for users to rely on.
But while at the moment, OKX is approaching to Binance ever since CZ is undergoing legal fraudulent issues against the law.
In my country currently, Binance have some regulatory issues with the government which has timely lead to the binance exchange delisting my fiat naira (#) on it P2P features.
While at the moment, crypto users in my country now embraces OKX in replacement of Binance.

I don't want instant exchanges to be any more popular, because if they get popular they will likely face authorities too just like how these Binance, Kucoin and other cexes did and we'll see them implementing mandatory KYC too for instant exchanges, which would suck.

I've also signed up for an OKX account but don't use it frequently. Unfortunately, OKX still doesn't support SegWit BTC, so I can't send my BTC there to buy ALTS when needed.
OKX popularity is growing over time due to various user events and effective marketing campaigns. It's being chosen by many traders and investors as a backup option in case Binance or Bybit encounters issues. However, personally, I still prefer using Binance because I can easily find everything I need for investing and generating profits there.

OKX has exited from our country otherwise I will show you a screenshot that OKX has an segwit wallet address and it start with bc1q, you can use it for your transaction. May be you should check again and see for yourself.
I don't there is actually a crypto trader or investors that hasn't hear of Binance before in their life, even though they don't have an account with them, they definitely knows about Binance exchange and that's why I think it's the most popular and reputable centralized exchange we have ever had since crypto was created, and then other ones like Kucoin, OKX, and other tiers followed.

Isn’t the number one exchange still Binance? I am still using it, and there is no problem on my end. I have also used Bybit, and I’m leaving it as a popular exchange.
I should have also focused on OKX after reading other people's posts, but I’m not using it yet.

I'm also present at Binance and I can say it's by far the most reliable exchange for me. I'm also present on other exchanges like Bitget, Bingx and those are also some good ones. I used to be on Bitfinex and a few other exchanges in past but I don't use those anymore.

Yes, when it comes to like P2P, I like Binance a lot. I also have been trading at Bitget and Bybit as well, so far no problems for me. I guess when we move and become more experienced in trading, we venture on other exchanges as well. I would admit that when I started, I used Yobit, never had problems but that exchanges has a lot of accusations and so I move on and never look back.

Well, I would like to add that Binance excels in P2P trading and I use it for all my P2P trades but in general it's quite awesome for sport trading and futures trading as well. I've lately created my own leading spot username and that's a good feature for traders who spot trade and help others who copy them.
Well, that Yobit was okay when in its early days and I believe I also had an account at that exchange but I also heard that they were doing some shady activities and that's why I also left that exchange and never looked back at it. I believe most users left that exchange if I'm not wrong.

Everyone who is involved in cryptocurrency knows Binance very well. I think Binance is the best for me to trade cryptocurrency. Binance till date has never seen any major problem or account hacked. But anything is not safe if it is not secured by itself, so one should be careful about security. Binance is very popular for me which is why I have been using it since the beginning. Hopefully something better in the next few years. Benefit from Binance.

Yeah, a lot of people use binance, i just hope that most of them use binance only for trading and they don't buy all that sAfU bullshit. I noticed it with some people that when they 'trust' an exchange, they begin to leave their funds in it, i usually recommend that people should not trust exchanges with their money, self custody is the right way to store your BTC.

Binance doesn't need to spend money of promotion. People tell about it just that

This is so correct, it has become natural to recommend Binance if someone asks which exchange they should use.

Self-custody indeed takes the cake, but Binance do have safu fund and address is public [1], no wonder why people trust it.

Though for me, it's a bit clunky.
I would rather choose OKX ;D
-
I still don't expect this from the people in asking questions like this, when we all know that binance is the most recognized centralized crypto exchange all over the world, but that doesn't change the fact of the way they are not the best advised means of holding our asset for the best of our own safety, non custodial means is far better than to use a custodial exchange.

Binance s still the leader in terms of popularity but their dominance is slipping from 52% to the current 42%
Binance, the world’s biggest crypto exchange, saw a 13% year-over-year decline in spot trading volume from 52.5% in October 2023 to its current 39.5% market share.

The other exchanges, like Bitget and OKX, are slowly moving forward because of their collaboration to influencers and continuous marketing, but Binance I'm sure will come back because they are the most innovative exchange and has introduces many of the exchanges' best features.
