Title: External Link Limitations in Rank Baby Steps?
Post by: kai on August 07, 2024, 07:56:44 AM
I see various unique information about the altcoinstalks forum and have not fully read about the rules that apply in the altcoinstalks forum.
I see there is an indication of a limitation for external links created by the Admin and this makes me ask in the Related Global Forum. I mean so that fast response gets accurate information from the Admin, Staff etc.

Is there a limitation of external links in the signature code section for the Baby Steps ranking??
Yesterday I got a "No Follow" warning in the Signature code section, but now I don't get a "No Follow" warning, even though my ranking is still loyal to Baby Steps.

I have also informed this question on the local Indonesian forum, everyone can check here for more information (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=323352.msg1601120#msg1601120).

The limitation on external links is based on the activity, not on the rank. So your activity level now meets the criteria to show the links without any additional signs.

No follow is just an attribute on HTML link, which can change position on google search result. IMO those who should worry about it are either,
1. Business/service which engage with member on this forum, while following forum rules.
2. SEO spammer.

So, in the altcoinstalks forum for External Links, it has basic information in the "Activity" section, right?
And rank is not a common benchmark for displaying "External Links".

I understand a little now, maybe the forum rules are to avoid bad things like SEO Business, and for those who are new to altcoinstalks it is better for their signatures not to be given external links to avoid SEO Spammers.

I start to understand now but basically I use this signature code just for "FUN", because I see there is a signature event on the "Signature Campaign" (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=322161.msg1597913#msg1597913) board.
Am I not breaking any rules on this in the forum altcoinstalks?

As far as I know, all account rank levels on Altcoinstalks can use the signature feature and the avatar image on their profile. If the link in the signature is not dangerous, such as a link to a phishing site or a link that automatically downloads virus files when clicked, etc., then I don't think it violates the forum rules (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=3171.msg17324#msg17324 (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=3171.msg17324#msg17324)).

And from what i've seen, the no follow attribute also applies to link on post.

As stated by @Husna QA, your action doesn't violate any forum rules. If there's any problem with the signature itself, someone will mention about it on https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=322161.0 (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=322161.0).

This is not a matter only with the Altcoinstalks forum, but any platform that wants to maintain a certain quality of discussion. Allowing newly registered users to leave valid links would certainly lead to an overload of spam. For example, Seoclerk is full of offers where guest backlink is one of the options.
I am surprised that newcomers ask such questions at all, and I have seen similar ones before.

You know most newbies (related to marketing account) do the same thing on any platform they discovered that such policy is okay, so in order to minimize them certain rules should be followed until the user's activity grows and ranks up.

Thank you sir, I have to read the information you provided regarding the Forum Rules in detail because if I only read it briefly, it would be impossible to understand it straight away.

Thank you sir, I also attach or use the signature from BitList just for FUN (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=322161.0), and this is just for Entertainment.
While learning cryptocurrency, I also just want to have FUN in the altcoinstalks forum so I don't get bored.

Thanks for your critics and suggestions and this will be a correction for me to read in more detail for each rule in the altcoinstalks forum.

Is that true?
Shouldn't I ask first in this forum for every rule that exists?
Because if I take a wrong step, later I can be blamed by all the admins, staff etc.

Yes, now I am slowly starting to read the rules in the altcoinstalks forum and I also don't want to break the rules because I just came to this forum.
Moreover, I came to this forum to learn cryptocurrency and for FUN, I don't want to be serious because the burden of life is already too serious but I also don't want to break the rules in this forum.

Yea, even in BTT. If there are no limitations. Someone can visit the forum with a bot, create 100 accounts and Sig spam the whole forum.

You are right, and this is something I think (as from the activity), the ranking system also tries to solve.
Newbies (even if they are able to wear text-only signatures) won't get much attention or any attention at all, this automatically means that the motive of creating hundreds of newbie accounts and using each of those accounts for signature spam is defeated, whats the essence for or of the stress when one is of not achieving anything with this?.
