I know everyone has one even if you think you have none, like can be basic you just want to wear your lucky hat or shirt so let's discuss what those are.
It could be very interesting to know those.
Mine are simple, if I won something big then I try to resemble everything that happened on the next day or two and goes on until I feel oh no it's just a coincidence.

there are somethings i do just to try out but it doesn't really make me win though. one that i do is close my eyes when i max out my bet and click the button. i think i'm just hoping my last bet to win. if i don't win then i can do on move on. i usually do this on casino games. it gives me a bit of a surprise when i open my eyes and see that i won which is a good satisfaction. worth doing for me.
for online gambling, i think lucky charms are just not going to work. you already could put all your lucky charms with you right besides you but if you loses still. you can throw them all away.

I'm not really very superstitious I just used to not wearing anything red because everytime I lost huge amount of money,, I noticed that I have something red in my body from then on whenever I bet I don't want have anything in my body that is colored red.
I have nothing to lose if I follow this, so it becomes a tradition for me.
-
YES, I've done this in slot games.
In short, I played slots and won a large amount and then I stopped playing and enjoyed the money more for fun outside of gambling. I thought maybe in the next week I would play the slot again and maybe win again, but what happened did not come the victory so consider this a coincidence and never get too hopeful that the previous incident will happen again.

I think that time when we pray make good deeds and expect something good in gambling is what is common and or believing on black magic to expect winnings but it doesn't work that way because things happened randomly and naturally that is why we lost more.

You are not really superstitious, but you believe that wearing red is kind of a bad omen for you. Is that not superstition itself? I am
bewildered.
Also, I am interested to know what happened during the times you had nothing red on; did you always win?

No. i dont have any superstitions on which it would really be that undertandable that none of these things would work on the moment or time that you would really be playing gambling.
Although there would really be those individuals who would really be having that kind of behavior on doing something on which they do believe that it would really be giving out that
kind of effect positively on the moment that they will really be doing gambling on which its kind of absurd kind of belief but we do know that each person does have their
own views in life when it comes into this aspect.

I’m very far from anything that has to do with being superstitious - there are times when I come across people discussing how they usually do this or that and then get good luck but to me it just feels like a normal coincidence that they experienced.
I usually just log into my gambling account and play till I’m no longer in the mood to continue playing, there’s no special seating position, special shirt, special color or any accessories that I have or that I think usually make me win more or have better luck.

May be it can be true for the others peoples but after seeing your topic I have try to find what is the superstitions of mine gambling but I couldn't found anything for that.
Truly I respect the others traditional views but If we see the view of scientific then this is really nothing gambling is depends on luck here nothing superstitions is work. It's all about the program and the gambler luck.
-
During a game, I tend to follow a pattern but I would not call that a superstition or is it? I think it's just some hope on my part that I could eventually hit the mark/jackpot by following a strategy that I made up on the spot.
-
I mostly do that on guess games where two or more games could be separated in different boxes and they are numbered where you could be asked to point which box exactly having number 7 or 8 then at this point you wouldn't know which box is containing the numbers, so I have to close eyes and pick by random. Most times it works and something it does not work for me, so I think that is trial by error methods.
-
I dont have any gambling superstitions or dont have any superstitions in life. I dont believe in all that stuff. I only believe in facts, and I never trust in all that “faith” stuff. Specially in gambling, where random rules everywhere. For me gambling superstitions looks like an excuse or a try to complain something or someone if you lose. A try to get away fron responsibility.

I do think rationally and deep in me know that this is not gonna play any part in the future outcomes but most of us chose to do it anyway and remember this is not just limited to gamblers but sportspersons always have their superstitious and they don't share it with anyone cause they feel if they let others know then it won't work.
Well, to compare we all know we are the responsible for everything that happen on life but we do pray if we are following any religion and that's how it is too.

lol that is quite risky but anyway for me i don’t know if this is a superstition but i usually just depend on my gut feel I usually have a gut feel and it usually ends up being right of course not always but most of the time it is
i don’t make it into a habit of course because believing too much on superstitions may cause me a lot of losses but it is fun to see the coincidences i guess and have something to believe in for a little while

It is not unusual for a gambler to have such superstitious thoughts. I have seen some gamblers who superstitiously believe their luck. I have heard a few bettors in a sports betting especially in cricket match. Someone say that the team members fall wicket by run out in cricket will lose the match. Also some belief if one loses the first bet of the day they feel that their number of gambling losses will be high in that particular day. It is with this superstition that they make their gambling. And each of us should respect the beliefs of others.
-
I used to gamble and then put the slip inside a Bible, hoping to win. I used to believe that such an action could influence the outcome of a bet in my favour, but every time I tried it, I never won, so I concluded that religious beliefs have nothing to do with the outcome of a bet.
It is a game of chance, so praying will not help you win. If it did, religious leaders would have been the most successful gamblers on the planet, but this is not the case because there is a clear distinction between religion and gambling success. Anyone, regardless of his beliefs, can be lucky.

Yes, it would really be just that totally depending on a certain individual because even us who dont believe, there would really be those people who would really be having those kind of application when it comes into their betting or playing on casino or whatever they are really that getting involved with. There would really be those individuals who will really be testing out
different thing as long they do know that it could potentially affect out overall probability when it comes to winning. Although they are really that aware that there are times
or moment that those things doesnt have any sense at all. :P

there is nothing in me to believe in superstition, if I play gambling, and I only believe in luck and the power of prayer, if it is part of winning I will definitely win

Same here.
My country can be considered te most enchanted part of Asia and any thing you can pick down the river banks may just be a lucky harm for life. Soldiers pick some of those stones thinking they won't die when they battle the insurgents by keeping the stone. Thats more than just risking money.
However, people like us live in a city while its already 2024. Thers is nothing like lucky charms in the city.

If these superstitions is logically and practically possible, i'd go with that. But if its like don't face on somewhere while doing things or walk under the stairs because it can cause bad luck is something i will just laugh on.

The truth is that when someone is overly ambitious and eager for gambling success, he is more likely to believe any superstition, whether true or false. Whether a gambler is gambling for fun or for entertainment, he always wants to win, so if he is told what to do to win, no matter how amusing the directive is, most gamblers will fall for it, especially if it comes from someone who has won a significant amount of money in gambling through luck.

for the most part gamblers will more likely to just find a strategy in order to win on his bets but not looking for something to put in their secret altar and hope for any demon to help them win.
gamblers especially the guys who prefers to be on the local betshops are sociable gamblers with wide networks they can chat with. when they don't have a large capital to play, they just do some side bets in the table with the strategies they learn from fellow gamblers.

Some will call it their lucky button while some a magic charm, but i don't know what same people may say whenever they loose a bet, things naturally happens to us the way we expected without putting in any efforts as well as some happened coincidentally and we are so excited about them because they came in as exactly as we have positioned to have them, all are luck base standards but we easily forget them after we lose.
-
I am a pragmatist and do not believe in magic and superstitions. However, I have my preferred things that I believe in. It is strange but for some reason in roulette I believe that only black could bring me luck. Not red. And for some reason I am absolutely sure of this layout. When I find bonus money for the game red black, I will definitely let you know - was it in vain that I believed in it or not.

Lol, well it's kinda satisfying to know that I wasn't the only one who tried this or had this superstitious belief that placing a bet slip inside a bible or praying over the bet had the capacity to influence the outcome of the game. Well it didn't take me long to realise that those things doesn't work and that gambling is purely a game of luck, chance and one's experience and skills combined.
Also used to have this superstitious belief that when I show others my bet coupon, that my luck can actually be robbed, so this usually makes me to hide my coupon from others, even when my friends asks to take a peak or copy my bet, I'd blatantly refuse and verbally disclose to them the games I picked and the options I picked, but disclosing or showing my bet coupon to them is a total NO. And quite funny enough, this actually works in my favour sometimes, or should I say, most times, because every single time I disclose my coupon to others, I always lose the bet.

Gamblers are probably the most superstitious group there is.
That's hardly a surprise though. When you engage in an activity when your success is primarily dependent on luck, you're more likely to engage in superstitions that you believe could increase your luck.
It often starts as a joke or half-serious habit, e.g. wearing your "lucky shirt" etc. and then just spins out of control.

You are absolutely right. And this is so because for inveterate gamblers, their entire fate depends on how the bet plays out. They are ready to dance in front of the screen in the hope of a miracle. I would also include people whose health is seriously undermined in the category of those who believe in examples so strongly. They are also ready to believe in fables.
-
I used to belief that every gambler have his winning day and until that day you cannot win and that only God can decide the winning day for a gambler. However, overtime I have realized that gambling doesn't work like that and that is why some gamblers have better winning rate than others. If such believe was true then a gambler shouldn't be winning while others are not. If you are lucky, you will win. Also, God has not business with gambling. That is why even gamblers who make prayers before gambling doesn't win.

Our brain will think the same thing when we win a big win, when we win usually our brain will direct us to do the same thing as the previous win, before we realize that it is a luck.
I think this is almost felt by everyone or many have experienced something like this. somehow even though we know that it is a coincidence but our brain forces us to do the same thing and hope to win again. ;D
-
My superstition in the game, well it used to be, is that when I played the only thing I thought about was that I had to quickly change my strategy, because if I repeated it the casino would know how I would play and obviously I would lose much faster, but that was a Superstition , so things are not like that , yes, you have to change strategies, but not with that point of view, but to try your luck, another superstition I had is to think that all the strategies that we do not know, well the casino knows them, even the ones that the youtubers know.
-

Interesting, so everytime you pray the outcome will be win?
I do believe it falls under the category of superstition and I read many of replies stating they have no such thing but they do have some kind of things to do while betting and hoping it turns out to favour them and that's what I am defining as superstition not any kind of magic. :)

It is true that sometimes this belief works but I don't think it has anything to do with gambling because I have tried a lot of thought and practice them about why I won the previous day and it happens that it doesn't play out the same way. Gambling is luck and it is not material things that will give you that luck. Maybe in some other areas it can work to le to time by t not in gambling.

Nothing is certain in gambling, maybe we can win by using that method, but later on that method will no longer work, because previously we were just lucky and coincidentally when using that strategy.
I even think there is no special way to win when we are not approached by luck. Other people say strategies and such, but I personally do not believe it. Because even if it works, then those who say it can already be successful people in gambling.

I don't have superstition but whenever I wins, I would make sure that I enjoyed my hard labour by visiting a good restaurant to eat well and drink soft drinks. And I don't think there is any believe to win or lose gambling but you luck is whY it take to win. Though there are always predictions in gambling but they are different from superstitions. And when you brings superstition then you are saying some kind of believes that comes from religious angle. Our hopes in gambling is different from superstitions.

This is one of the ways a gambler should behave. When you win an amount that cannot be used for investment it is better you take yourself out and have a nice treat. Some gamblers constantly reinvest their winnings in gambling, and in the end, they lose everything and regret it. This is caused by a lack of contentment.
Most gamblers are dissatisfied with their winnings and constantly strive to win more, even if it means losing what they have already won. Gamblers should always keep track of what they gain and lose from gambling. I believe that with such inventory, they will value their small victories.

for online gambling, i think lucky charms are just not going to work. you already could put all your lucky charms with you right besides you but if you loses still. you can throw them all away.
There are people that really believe that they have to do certain things in order for them to always win casino games, it's quite ridiculous, some think that talking might ruin the game, some wear a specific type and colour of clothes but this is real life all of these doesn't matter, there no such thing as a lucky charm in gambling, its all about timing, hitting the right set that you can win from. Luck is a major factor and superstitious believes cannot alter the game in anyway

The actions that gamblers do as rituals to bring the result closer to themselves look really stupid and funny. Our human brain is designed in such a way that we want to control all the events around us, bringing situations to the point of absurdity. You need to think analytically, and not believe in omens and the like.

Desperation can lead a gambler to think of or imagine anything that will produce results. As you mentioned, most of it sounds funny, but the fact is that we are all built differently, and thus our thinking and mindsets differ, so there is nothing wrong with such thinking. This is also true when we think certain things; another person may find such thinking stupid and funny.
