Title: Exploring the Best Ways to Buy Crypto
Post by: hustlebuddy0 on August 21, 2024, 05:54:39 PM
One of the reasons why crypto is as popular as it is now is because of how accessible it is.

There are so many options available for anyone that wants to get crypto, options like crypto exchanges where you can get crypto without any hassle, or escrow platforms, or even decentralised exchanges, the list goes on.

While there are several debates on which of these are the best options for the average user like me and you, it's obvious that they've all contributed one way or another to ensure that crypto's reach is as wide as possible.

I'd like to know what your preferred option is when you want to make a purchase.

I'm still searching for a great way one can buy coin without utilizing the centralized p2p choice, they seems to be the best and easiest way for many people but the active participation on kyc is not nice, you can't trade unless you have your kyc verified. I know they do this to prevent scams but the exchange can do without verification unless they fear perhaps government policy.

Decentralized platforms that offer p2p where you can buy and sell your Bitcoin doesn't have liquidity like the rest of these centralized exchanges, some centralized exchanges that doesn't have much trading volume upto the Dex volumes does have patronize of p2p activities than these Dex p2p and it's very concerning.

Well just like I always say , crypto is more like a breakthrough to the digital and online transaction and banking system. Crypto more like put aside the currency barrier when you try transacting across different countries. Almost everything online can now be paid with crypto and it really has made things easier in terms of online transactions.
When it comes to buying crypto, you can either make use of P2P either online or physically or you alternatively buy directly from an exchange especially centralised exchanges since most people are more familiar and feel safer with them. Some centralised exchanges host P2P marketplaces where they act more like an escrow between you and the seller.

Cryptocurrency exchanges are online marketplaces or platforms that allow you to buy, sell or trade different cryptocurrencies. Crypto exchanges facilitate transactions by matching buyers and sellers by providing a platform for transactions. All these big exchanges have to use kyc but because of that your account will be strong. Before creating an account with any cryptocurrency exchange, make sure your investment is safe.
Dex is a platform that works without the need for a central authority. They enable peer to peer trading of cryptocurrencies directly between users without the need for a trusted third party to hold funds.
On the other hand, the p2p exchanges are online platforms that allow users to trade crypto assets directly and privately without intermediaries.

since the time when p2p is available, people are buying BTC and stablecoins using p2p on exchanges. this is the most common i think in my country because i doubt if there are many are going to be using their credit card to buy cryptocurrency.

i sell my BTC on p2p, its more convenient and we can already use the local fiat payment system to receive from p2p , this is like instant transaction that we can already finish the deal within minutes.

Both CEX and DEX, or even P2P have their own advantages. And everyone will definitely choose them or maybe use all three for that.

But personally, I prefer to use CEX, so far, and sometimes DEX for the latest coins and looking for gems. However, you still have to be vigilant and smart in choosing which CEX or DEX, so that we can avoid scams or fake platforms.

Personally, I would prefer some platforms that are indeed top and easy to access. Especially Binance, this is the main CEX platform that I often use. As for DEX, it will depend on what coins I am looking for, but more often to Pancake swap.

As for making withdrawals, for example to a bank account, I will automatically use a local exchange in my country, such as Tokorcypto, Pintu, or Indodax. They are official exchanges in my country and are under the auspices and regulations registered with the government agency.

Check more exchanges:

It's not really what I like, but what I consider more... the first is the popularity of the platform or intermediary individual who connects me with the seller, or if the purchase is p2p, the seller's reputation is what I consider... between the popularity and reputation of the party I am in contact with is always the main consideration so that my funds remain safe and the cryptocurrency I want is also safe.... I can say that popular exchanges are quite trustworthy to store some of my assets, but of course I am still careful with the bad possibilities that can happen at any time....

For p2p purchases, I prefer cryptocurrency sellers who have positive reviews and are more recommended by my trusted friends who have tried it before... and please note, transactions with individuals directly, I often do in stages... for example, I will buy crypto for $10, then I will buy it in 2 stages of 2 x $5 to minimize if something strange happens.

I always use exchanges to buy cryptocurrencies because exchanges seem the safest to me. Although want to buy cryptocurrency with my home currency but in that case I buy cryptocurrency with my home currency through p2p from exchange. Many may say which exchange to use to buy crypto currency? I always use binance exchange to buy cryptocurrencies which is very very safe for me. But I haven't used Escrow service till now so I don't have good experience with Escrow service.

in the world where almost everything is digital cryptocurrencies have pushed boundaries and have paved the way for digital currencies and payment being able to hold money digitally is convenient and perceived much safer compared to carrying cash with you or keeping them at your house at all times

it depends

some people just buy directly in a wallet so they can hold them for infinite amount of time while some buy in an exchange for trading each platform is different and transaction fees are a huge part of deciding what way do i want to purchase my crypto

Buying crypto should always be done with proper planning and well researched and experienced so that you can grow your money later on.  If you hold on to these qualities and invest, you can increase your chances of improving your finances.

The best and easiest way to buy crypto is the p2p method on exchanges, it's reliable and fast for most top exchanges and it's also safe. I believe it's the most common and we'll known method of purchasing crypto.
But now we see top exchanges like Binance, Kucoin restricting their p2p method for some reasons, making users to locate exchanges where p2p purchase method is working and also pushing other exchanges without p2p to start up such purchase method

I prefer fiat on-ramps, I feel they are convenient than anything else, some time ago they didn't require kyc, which was icing on cake but it's still ok.

When Binance was still doing business here in my country, I really preferred to use their P2P marketplace in buying and selling my crypto needs. And it is because of the convenience and the security involved in the process since both sides are really protected to the max. Right now, money apps operating here are now also into cryptocurrency on a limited basis and many are getting into crypto because of them...all because of easy access. When people are not anymore going through the hassles and the risks present years ago, they are more inclined to invest with their favorite coins and tokens. And this is actually good news for the whole crypto industry.

I agree that using centralized exchanges to buy or sell bitcoin is the easiest way but not the best, the best to me would be a platform without actual asking for KYC but most of the exchanges today do ask for KYC which many people find not attractive. But in terms of ease the centralized exchanges are a place to go to, they have higher liquidity than decentralized exchanges and they are more user friendly than them also.

As for the restrictions on this exchanges it bows down to the individuals country. There are countries now that this exchanges have regularization problems with and they needed to restrict the countries citizens to avoid sanctions. Although you can still perform other actions there too.

^ I agree with your sentiment, my two friends frequently use binance p2p since long time and they have had good experience so far, no scam till date.

The thing is you hardly get scammed on centralized exchanges like this except you are naive yourself, once you don’t release your funds except you have confirmed payment then you’re good to go

Cryptocurrency is one of the best investment right now in the world and cryptocurrency has made a lot of people rich and has also helped in building the economy of the world and has brought people far and wide to do business together because transactions has now been made easy.
Any method you feel is best for you to buy cryptocurrency is good and you can take it however buying cryptocurrency is not a problem is very easy and being easy to buy cryptocurrency is one thing that makes it unique is not stressful and any method or means you use will give you same result but is not all coin you need to buy because you will lose money at the end of the day that is why they say cryptocurrency is very risky yes what makes it risky is choosing or buying and holding a shitcoin, when you talk about risky or low risk coin to buy then is Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the first crypto coin to be created and the best crypto coin in the world and it has made a lot of people very rich, when you invest in Bitcoin you reduce your the risk of losing your money the only way you can lose your money in Bitcoin is when you involve in Bitcoin trading or short term Bitcoin investment when you involve in this Bitcoin investment strategy you can lose your money but if you engage in long term Bitcoin investment the risk of losing your money will not be there.
A lot of newbies fear in buying cryptocurrency because they feel they may buy and the exchange will not send them the coin well sometimes this things happens that's is why you need to use an exchange that is know world wide, go on research about that online and you will fine out the best exchange to use is not something that you should fear for, all you should do as a newbie is to choose the right coin which is Bitcoin am recommending it.

You just have to be very careful on P2P though, I have friends who got scam although I will say that they are gullible to fall for it. They do exchange their crypto for fiat, and then they found this scammers offering too good to be true exchange rate. And then they do the supposedly transactions and says that they have sent the money already without my friends checking his wallet. So there are still a lot of scammers everywhere and our very weapons is to really be mindful and knows what the scams so that we can avoid it. If he just check his wallet first before releasing his crypto, he wouldn't be scam at all.

Buying of Crypto should not be much of a challenge but however, security and safety became more paramount for the individuals transacting hence third parties and exchange came into play and this made it more easier for Crypto purchase and adoption as well.

P2P should have been the best option but the risk involved in it is so much that third party exchange came into play to salvage the situation and since they got involved, the risk dropped to minimal level but however, it requires some identification process before one could be able to use the platform. Till date, crypto exchange seems to be more safer to purchase token after listing or one taking part in a Crypto launchpad to be able to get a certain percentage of the token they intend owning.

Avoid physical meeting with buyers or sellers of Crypto if you do not know them. It is not safe and possibly not advisable to do. What is the point risking your life when you can buy any token via exchange and transfer to your self custodial wallet for keeping.

If I prefer to make transactions on the exchange rather than P2P, because our security on the exchange is higher. but it all depends on each individual's considerations. But so far I have only made purchases and sales of coins on binance and Kucoin. Sometimes I also do it on local exchanges.

Binance P2P.
That's my go-to whenever I want to buy or sell cryptocurrencies.

I find it convenient and although there are some who wants to use other P2P platforms, it's all about how comfortable we are when it comes to transacting with others. I've been using Binance P2P for quite some time and luckily, I didn't experience anything bad from the buyers or sellers. No scam since you can see who's reputable and who's not. Some might say that we need to be careful whenever we make transactions via P2P, and it's true because there's no 3rd party between the two. Whatever the case is, we have our preferred exchanges/platforms to sell/buy cryptocurrencies.

I think the best option is to look into the exchanges you are currently using and choose the most beneficial way to buy crypto, rather than just looking for the best options based on people's opinions.
For me, I always prefer to purchase through P2P, but I do use other options if they're also free like P2P or if I find them very enticing or they come with extra value.
An example is when I recently used Google Pay to buy crypto on Bitget with zero fees and some bonuses, which I have not even used yet. This is also why I have multiple exchange accounts, because offers like this can be available on different exchanges. I've once gotten the same kind of offer from Binance a year ago, and I used my bonus to buy SOL, which increased more than 10x in value.

Of course popular and top centralized exchanges are way better choice but here in my country digital e-wallets are also offering buying and selling services which makes it more convenient and comfortable for us the only thing is that differences matters when we are considering transaction fees so yeah it always depends upon the situation and decision we had.

You should of course choose to buy your cryptocurrency from top exchanges and not individuals, or even persons, from this forum because, although the intention of this forum is for good, there are people in the forum who still have bad intentions towards other people looking for people who are looking for ways to buy cryptocurrency or places to invest their money for them to lure them into scamming them. My option is just like most others option and that's crypto exchanges. I always buy crypto from exchanges and keep increasing my holdings overtime. In fact, the exchanges are must for me because I'm also a trader and for trading purpose use of exchanges is necessary for me.

I believe anyone can easily purchase Bitcoin or any other crypto currency these days via exchanges and at exchanges the best way to purchase Bitcoin or any other crypto currency is via P2P trading. So far I haven't had any issue with it and I believe it will work for others as well.

Exchange p2p is a bit okay to start with because with the exchange itself would make sure things works orderly as a their reputation would be at stake if anything goes wrong. On the other hand,  traders would be very cautious because they would not want to loose their assets with the exchange so they would prefer to be at utmost behaviour so as not to indite themselves but however, one needs to be more careful and cautious while dealing  with p2p platforms irrespective of the setup.

       -       Buying cryptocurrency is actually one of the main reasons for us to get profit here in the future or even every day that we expect. It is really necessary that we have an idea or know about them.

We know that risk is too high due to the volatility that exists here, and secondly, we should also prioritize buying crypto from well-known exchange site platforms and not from unknown exchange platforms.

sorry bro, but Mt Gox used to be a famous exchange and well know too, and we all know that MT Gox eventually got into trouble.. in my personal opinion, for the purpose of buying or selling cryptocurrency, do it on a more trusted and reputable platform... if you want 99% security, then make sure it is clear in terms of legal channels and has a clear reputation...

Until now, decentralized exchanges still have many notes, so many communities have not been able to fully adopt decentralized exchanges.

Mt Gox is indeed one of the big exchanges, but when there was a problem that eventually made many bitcoins of the exchange users finally trapped and had difficulty to be withdrawn. These are some of the risks when we store assets to the exchange so this should be an important lesson for all of us that if we want to store Cryptocurrency assets, it is better to store them in a safer external wallet.

Good advice, but the use of external wallets or personal wallets also needs to be considered so that there are no hidden risks such as the use of hardware wallets that are safer from hacking attacks, because mobile wallets will be more vulnerable because the device is always connected to the internet and there is a lot of malware and phishing links lurking. It all comes back to users how they use their wallets safely and in control.

I am also using a exchange for buy and sell my crypto. Binance is one of the best Choice for sell and buy in our crypto. Because i think it is very safety for me. Otherwise i also listen to an other exchange that's escrow, but i don’t know which type of exchange it. But at last i told binance is one of the best  safety exchange for selling and buying our crypto.

Crypto exchanges are now offering p2p services due to which crypto buying and selling has become very easy. Earlier I used to sell crypto in various groups as all other crypto currency coins including Bitcoin are illegal in my country till now.  So we have no way to buy crypto directly. I now always buy and sell crypto through Binance & Kucoin p2p. Because it is safe and here to buy and sell crypto at fair price.

It's before familiar with the p2p in binance and the kucoin I was use to sell my crypto assets or for buying the cryptocurrency via the 3rd party, there was high risk of getting scam I don't want to say that there is no chances in get scam on the binance or any cex but if anyone do with the verified user then there is low chances of scams.

So in this regard I will say based on our region and as a crypto ethustian peoples cex are made our life easy. But I will also say that when people want to invest for long-term it is best to hold fund on the decentralized wallets.

This would depends on your country and probably preference..for me p2p or getting crypto with my credit card is cool for me.. if you're lucky you'll get rewards when you purchase crypto like this one currently ongoing on Bitget
(https://i.ibb.co/hXd6CPS/IMG-20240821-WA0013.jpg) (https://ibb.co/Jxp1Cf9) and get some rewards. Bitget warning (https://www.Bitget ( Buy crypto via apple/google pay ots also on first come FCFS basics

Interesting, I've been using p2p all this while actually. I've never tried that Google pay option before, are the rates good and hope it has now issues? The event looks like a good deal too but I would love to be able to use Google pay

I think we already have our own ways to keep our assets safe, especially since we have been in the crypto space for a long time, so things like this should be more deeply realized to make us more careful.

I think there is no place that is truly safe, it will come back to ourselves. For example, now a hardware wallet can be said to be the safest place, but if we don't take good care of it, it can make us lose our assets.

Yes, we have to keep our own wallet safe..Because no matter how secure the security is, if we don't protect our wallet from psying etc., we will likely lose our assets. But in my opinion, hardware wallets are safer and until now mine is still safe.

We know that exchange is one of the best media to buy and sell our crypto. If we could not selected for safety exchange, which is keeping our money safety.
Until now I have always been loyal to binance exchange and kucoin. I spend my time playing trading there. because in my opinion binance is the largest exchange and until now after 7 years of using binance wallet my assets are still safe and there have never been any problems.

Recently, some banks have integrated the option to buy cryptocurrency directly from their banking apps, making the process of buying and selling crypto with fiat easier than ever before. This option is ideal for people who don’t want to go through the manual steps of creating a wallet or an exchange account, and prefer to manage their funds independently, without insurance.

Buying crypto has become more accessible due to widespread adoption worldwide, and this trend is expected to continue in the near future. Personally, I use P2P options to buy crypto, but purchasing through banks and other finance apps directly is likely to become the best way to buy crypto.

I used multiple cex as per my needs and each time each of them were my favorite cex.
But to say Binance, kucoin, Bybit, Mexc , Bitget those I have used most times. And I will marked them the top best cex in the world there is coinbase but there are some region that is no supported.

And I wannted to also say one more opinion that yes the cex are also contributing to spreading the crypto in world among the peoples but remind it, that is for their own interest.

One of the drawbacks of CEX that people don't like is that many CEXs require KYC. But other than that, in my opinion, CEX is the exchange that I have used the most so far, like it or not, but yes, CEX is the one I always use. And so far, it's all smooth. It's just that there is still a sense of worry because I also did KYC before.

However, for some cases, it does depend on what coins I trade. Because sometimes, I also feel more comfortable connecting my wallet directly to one of the DEXs to sell tokens. It's more practical as long as the price is not too far apart.

I share same thoughts as yours and I also use CEX's to exchange my crypto to fiat or for purchasing of cryptocurrencies. I know some people don't like that KYC thing but for me it's not a big issue. As long as things are working smoothly then completing KYC should not be an issue.

I believe most people use centralized exchanges for purchasing and selling of cryptocurrencies and there might be very few people who use decentralized exchange for purchasing and selling of cryptocurrencies.

Well I prefer using decentralized exchanges (DEXs) when buying crypto and this is because they give more control and security. With them I'm dealing directly with the blockchain, which resonates with the whole idea of crypto being decentralized but then I do see why some people might choose centralized exchanges (CEXs) since they’re easier to use and have more support. But then it really depends on what you're looking for.. for me, DEXs are the way to go for a safer and more private experience.

There is no guarantee of security even though we have been in crypto for a long time, there will always be carelessness committed by anyone when they are careless and underestimate security.

Those of us who have been around for a long time may know how the hack is carried out, but we are unconsciously falling into an undetected trap.

Many phishing links, malware that will infect devices as well as some mobile applications disguise themselves without detection.

I am a hardware wallet user and of course securing the seed phrase must be very good so as not to lose it.

You've outlined some key points about cryptocurrency well. Indeed, crypto has revolutionized online transactions by reducing currency barriers and simplifying cross-border payments. As for buying crypto, users have options: acting as intermediaries to ensure safer transactions.

That's what I mean, but at least when we've been in this space for a long time we know what to do and what not to do. We also discuss a lot with many people how to maintain assets to minimize risk.

Carelessness is a human trait and it's natural. We must always be able to remind ourselves of something that can harm us. No one knows when bad luck will happen to us, but at least we minimize it with our knowledge.

Actually there are many options available to buy Crypto and I think that many of the options are very ok. Some crypto users love buying from the decentralized exchanges, while many others prefer buying from the Centralized exchanges. The Centralized exchanges has also many options too, like P2P, debit card etc, and some users buy through gift cards. In addition, CEX exchanges has become the most commonly used means to buy crypto among crypto users globally and its been my best option.

That is right people who are using crypto for long time can still make mistakes and lose their money. Nobody is perfect and even experienced users can get hacked or scammed too. There are many ways hackers or scammers have to steal your money like fake links bad software and fake apps. Like you can make me an example I am in crypto for 7 years. But one day I was making some transactions. And suddenly I got a notification that one of the project which I joined for airdrop now launched I opened that tweet. They have the same name like the original one and they have the blue tick also.I didn't focus on it and I opened the given link in the post. And they ask to connect wallet and they were making transactions from my wallet and asking for confirmation. I confirmed one transaction of $20 of one coin. After that they ask for another. So I understood and disconnect the wallet. Thank God I gave only $20.

By the way using  hardware wallet is good idea but we also should keep our secret code safe. If we make one mistake we can lose everything. So it is good to be careful  and always improve your security to keep your money safe in crypto world.

The best exchange reputation is very decisive for the favor that anyone who can do that wants to buy bitcoin or crypto, because it will provide a sense of security and there is no fear that the funds used will disappear, as long as it is not wrong to conduct the transaction. There is also an alternative that might be more trusted, namely through a local exchange that is usually always there in every country that already recognizes the existence of crypto. It might be easier for transactions because of using the local language.

I believe international exchanges use automatic translation or hire translators to translate their website nowadays, so I'm not sure if having a local language is that important anymore. At the very least, I don't think it matters to me. I do prefer using exchange that is located in my country if I need to convert my Bitcoin to fiat and I can't find other options for whatever reason. While it doesn't guarantee any safety at all, at least I can come and visit their office if anything go wrong. Still won't be my first choice though. CMIIW.

It is an experience that will let you know how the scammer scam flow works so that you will never get stuck again.
I have been in crypto for about 8 years and already know a lot about crypto and how scammers trap it, but many methods are done, and maybe I almost fell into the trap, but I was able to avoid it.

Never trust anyone and check in advance every Dapps you want to put into a personal wallet or just separate your personal wallet from your wallet for other businesses such as bounties, airdrops, etc.

 • Anyone who cares less about their privacy can buy bitcoin in any reputable CEX.
 • But if we care much about our privacy, we need to sacrifice more to be private. We need to be somewhat tech savvy to be able to use DEXs etc.

But generally, CEXs are the most popular place to buy bitcoin and they are the first contact of newbies in the industry. Some newbies who try the DEX could get scammed if they don't know how things work there.
I think there are many way to buy crypto. Like Dex CEX etc. Dex is decentralised exchange and Cex is  centralized exchanger. So if anyone want to buy crypto he can use Dex or Cex. There are many kinds of dex and cex are available. Dex like pancake swap, Uniswap, Jupiter etc. And best cex is Binance,  Bybit, Kucoin etc.

I think mentioned Dex and Cex all are trusted and good. You can buy crypto from here. When i want to buy crypto then i use Cex mainly Binance. Because Binance is best. We can ise Binance because in Binance has P2P facilities. We can sell and buy crypto by our local currency.

Using modern DEXs is not that hard. For example, we can easily use platforms like Bisq and other DEXs for various coins (excluding BTC), such as PancakeSwap and Uniswap. Buying isn't difficult while maintaining privacy, but acquiring USDT can be a bit challenging. To remain anonymous, you often have to outsource acquiring USDT through other people, and at that point, it becomes difficult to obtain it without providing some personal information. I can’t think of many other ways to get USDT while maintaining privacy in my region, given the resources available to me.

I'm not sure how people in other parts of the world are buying USDT to get BTC or how they're managing to buy BTC directly, even via P2P, while maintaining privacy. Although you don't have to be tech-savvy, I agree to some extent that you need more knowledge, like understanding wallets, especially non-custodial ones, knowing the difference between DEXs and CEXs, how to sign a transaction, and which transactions not to sign. There's certainly more to learn with DEXs compared to CEXs.

For turkish people Binance already has the .tr version, which means that we can buy directly with out fiat and that is why it feels like a good thing. I think its quite obvious that we are going to see this grow to be better as well. There are billions going around in the volumes, and everyone here uses other websites too so not just Binance, there are websites like paribu that is famous as well, so its not really the only place. I believe that easiest way to get it is that, but if you are talking about earning and not buying, then airdrops, bounties and signature campaigns are by far the easiest methods followed by finding a job in a new token could also be.
