Anytime you see growth in gambling, the first thing I check is if indeed the season has resumed, like right now we are just 1 week in the beginning of the season and many bettors and sport punters will be back to stake on their favorite games because of one thing and that is money, I believe gamblers are for money than the entertainment aspect.

1. Here in my place we treat it like that more than just an entertainment and I think almost all of us here do that. I don't also think gamblers here in my place just want entertainment when playing scatter because they are spending much money on it as they are chasing something good. In my case I play lottery because I am hoping for something like the jackpot or any life cahnging winnings but so far I am not that lucky.
2. I think majority will choose gambling as a form of some sort of generating extra income rather than making it as an entertainment.

I will agree with you on point one because that is the main reason why the number of gamblers are increasing every time to time because the lazy ones sees it as a short cut to riches in a little period of time. This will make them continue gambling and losing more money to gambling because any amount that they have, they will always think of doubling it. Gambling is a means of entertainment and that is how we should see it and not a means of bringing us out of poverty.

Don't have a wrong idea on why you want to be a gambler, if it is that possible and easily achieved that everyone gambling earns from it, then there wouldn't have been any gambling platform in operation by now, we have to understand the reason behind why gambling is meant for an entertainment purpose mostly, then the way we see gambling growing each day from one stage to another is because many are finding it more attractive to them because of the nature of how it is been played.

I cannot tell the situation in other countries, but in Nigeria, based on how the economy has been in the last couple of months, I have personally seen people who formally never used to gamble now showing interest in gambling as a means to make money in a short period of time. It is becoming increasingly difficult to advise people not to gamble for money because gambling for money has been the primary motivation for many people that I know who are new in gambling. This is a brewing problem.

Gambling to make riches out of it is the most common reason why the increased rate of gambling in society never ceases to stop because most gamblers see gambling as a short way to riches. It keeps getting worse as league matches are in play.
I don't think this is ever gonna stop soon because betting companies keep giving enticing odds for bettors to pursue profits out of their bets, making many forget about taking gambling as a means to entertain themselves but a means of making fast and easy money.

FYI, Gambling is not a new concept it has been with us for atleast 1000 years so people always got their reasons to gamble and the most common reason is we want to make quick money or we are happy about making in that way which is okay unless this becomes regular habit we got off from what we're supposed to do in our life.
And the other two reasons also contributes but in my opinion what I said is most likely but people will deny it.

Gambling owners are playing with you through psychology. Psychology of colors. Psychology of sounds. I can't explain it bit by bit, but the point is, gambling owners are using the colors and sounds to attract the gamblers to play even more. Whenever one is trapped in a particular problem it becomes so desirable to search for an exit that will be slightly more comfortable. But to be stuck with something uncertain is not what we would have wished for in the first place. Instead of worrying about what might not come in, we can look at what could go out, or some ways in which skills and potentials could be developed to a better end result. Most people also wish to grow, having the skills regardless of if it looks initially like a small and unassuming plant. This way, accomplishing multiple goals where everyone can benefit from and conscious efforts are made collectively to contribute to creating stability for ourselves and our community.

I see reasons to agree with you. Gambling cannot be fun, I don't see anything funny in a venture that recks people and make them loose all there money in some occasions.

Whenever a person starts investing his or her money, there is always the realisation that something will be gained out of it. In this context gambling is regarded as the possibility to augment the income which in fact cannot be predicted. We need to keep in mind the fact that winning usually does not make a direct correlation with the risk that has been assumed. In such situations it is critical to be realistic so that we do not end up sinking deep in loses that we cannot handle. If you knew absolutely what these risks and gains were, then it would be easier to manage what we decide on and what we reject.
