That was a very bad day for that hacked account and hopefully he is okay right now. I was also one of those who got rugged but not that huge money like millions just like a buble that burst in just a blink of an eye and that is pretty painful. Willingly trade scam tokens or pumping out scam tokens to get a profit is more or less a a scam behavior IMO. Sure, you can take more gamble with low marketcap projects, but you should run away asap if they are scamming people. Who knows, maybe they will choose you as their next target without you knowing. For example, launching another fake token and deliberately led you to find them. CMIIW.

Even without the hack and exit scam, this is obviously a pump and dump strategy and should not be used as an example for success. It's basically a gamble that requires fast hands or trading bots with probably 1% chance of winning.

You just have to trod carefully on the crypto market or some of this investment platforms because many of these meme new start up projects out there are positioned for a pump and dump scheme, and a lot are fake.
Now, some new memes coins that are paying investors huge returns on investments in a short time like you said, could become and exist scams. Nothing good comes easily; I don't think a reputable firm that is doing legit investments business can pay such a huge returns; it just to draw people's attention to buy the token and at certain periods will exist the market unaware to the investors.
Be mindful of organized investments platform positioned to defraud people.
Meme coins are very risky, you should not use large amounts to invest in meme coins, because the risk is very high and we can lose our money. I also invest in crypti but not as much as I invest in bitcoin, ethereu, BNB, solanan and TON. because for me the capital I use should not be lost because I hope to get profit in the bullish next year.

It might have been either one of the project owners or one of the centralized exchange staff who was able to get an inside information regarding the token pump and decided to buy the token. Although am not sure but I know that it's not usually possible for investors to know the altcoin that is going to make them millions of profit, if it was that possible and easy, that means everyone would have become millionaires. You can still be lucky in your investment but it depends on luck.
I also do agree that there could be some element of luck as well. Specially if you don't have that insider information. And it just so happen that you are in the right place at the right time and invest early.
And later, the price of that token pump up, and you sell at the right time, so another luck in your side. Of course, you still need to put your money and then continue to monitor the crypto sphere of any new and upcoming token. But still with luck on your side, definitely, in the end you are going to win big.
