This is according to Gemini findings
Up to 73% of US respondents who currently own cryptocurrency said that a candidate’s position on crypto would influence their vote in the presidential election.
Additionally, another 37% of respondents indicated that a presidential candidate’s position on crypto would have a “significant impact” on their vote.

if harris and trump are going to debate about crypto today, maybe it will really be an election issue and crypto community may be able to make the big difference to the counts. now that everybody is watching the currency devaluation in the country, the people are well aware of whats coming when they see the prices of products skyrocket.
but both of them seem to have a say about Bitcoin already as harris already express support. we all know both are just saying all these but i think people see trump the better candidate since he is the first to have done so. he even have NFTs.

If I was an active crypto investor/trader in the US, I would put that factor in choosing who I vote for as well. It doesn't matter if I was a red or a blue because it's every man for himself at the end of the day. Funny thing is that when it comes to the crypto voting bloc, Gensler is probably Trump's best campaign manager ;D

Now they are getting to realize the importance of cryptocurrency starting from the way they see the community could influence their life and career if they receives support from crypto, but the question remains unanswered to here, that will they have a U-turn over their mentality on cryptocurrency if they achieve their goal and get in the office, because what i noticed was that the both sides now are using the same crypto in their campaign.

Because they understand very well that many Americans are already crypto asset holders, who work related to the crypto world and they know how they can make crypto enthusiasts and holders on their side. With this debate, it can attract the attention of crypto enthusiasts there, which of course is not a small number.
Moreover, previously, crypto has also been brought up in the previous presidential election, it's just that it has not entered the realm of one of the debate materials.
So this will be interesting. Whoever has the knowledge and also a point of view that is in accordance with the expectations of crypto holders or enthusiasts and can provide much better and easier possibilities, then they are the ones who are likely to attract more sympathizers. This is the moment and they must be able to take advantage of the moment to get more opportunities and more votes.

...when it comes to the crypto voting bloc, Gensler is probably Trump's best campaign manager ;D
And it is because Kamala Harris is part and parcel of the Biden administration being his right hand as the Vice President...and it is in this administration that we are see a strong antagonism to the industry instead of it guiding and regulating it. Gary Gensler is considered as an "enemy of the cryptocurrency industry even if he eventually approved ETFs after the strong and powerful pressures from many sides. Now that cryptocurrency is taking on stage as one of the issues being talked by both sides of the political sphere, some voters are taking stand and they might favor a candidate who is considered more friendly to cryptocurrency.

Yep, that becomes just the game to get the voters, really ;D
And it's scary, to the point which was addressed in Vitalik Buterin's article: "Against choosing your political allegiances based on who is "pro-crypto" ", quote.

Compared to the impact of Bitcoin 10 years ago and today, there is a big difference and not many people were interested in Bitcoin, let alone the laws and regulations associated with it. But the market capacity is still very low and 1-3 trillion will not change the financial policies in economies exceeding 300 trillion.

Now BTC is a thing to reckon with.
And everybody loves to have their share of the pie ;D

But the data only covers US citizens, and the respondents are also from the USA, so how is it relevant to the whole world and not just the United States? BTC has gotten involved in a lot of things in the USA, but it’s not the main topic of discussion. Everyone in the States is talking about meme coins too, but that’s just a trend. When trends shift, people move on to the next one, adapting as they go.
If I had to choose a candidate, I wouldn’t base my choice on their stance on crypto. Donald is focusing on helping Israel against Palestine, and he’s trying to win support by backing them with more military aid. On the other hand, Kamala, according to her own words, wouldn’t take the same approach. For me, considering the value I place on innocent lives, I’d choose Kamala over Donald.

Well, 300 trillion market cap, or even much more than this for bitcoin or maybe the entire crypto currency market is not a matter of "if" but "when", this surely will happen and by then, bitcoin have become a household name and asset in and for every family in most countries of the world.
But then, the truth is that It won't be easy to achieve as I personally expect to see even more ban from some countries, there will be challenges quite alright, and some of this challenges will pull bitcoin market back in a way many may begin to think that it's finally over for the cryptocurrency, but believe me, all of that will turn out to be the stepping stone to bitcoin's next milestone which is achieving a marketcap of 5 to 10 trillion dollars.
Let hope Trump wins the US presidential election and let's see what he has to bring to the table for the cryptocurrency industry, but even if he end up winning and turn out he's an enemy of the market that disguised himself, it still won't stop this innovation from becoming one of the world's greatest.

all back to their campaign goals, if they are just to attract supporters and forget that they ever supported crypto after achieving their goals,
but hopefully trump is really pro crypto not a lie, because even though I am not a US citizen but I hope crypto is supported by the number 1 person in the US

Its not the most imoortant issue in their election. The country has more imoortant issues to solve like the wars they support and the immigration that already affected lives of the people and then uneployment problem while AI is taken over.
Crypto could be a solution but when recession comes, its still the suply chain and food is the next best thing to solve.

Indeed there are huge challenges that are facing the governments at the moment such as conflict, immigration, and unemployment. That is why it is critical in this context to pay attention to functionalist approaches, of which stabilisation of supply chains and food security belong to. Of course, with proper approach, crypto can open up new opportunities and efficient solutions; however, the primary goal is to address the issues that impact people and their everyday lives to provide food, clothing, and shelter as the global economy goes through a turbulence.

I agree. Crypto for now shouldn't be a matter of which people decide on who to pick A or B, in my opinion.
There are lots of matters that should be taken into account first.

I tried checking all links included in the news, but cointelegraph doesn't mention any link to Gemini's website. But i would speculate the survey result is biased, since Gemini is cryptocurrency exchange where it's possible many of participant are either Gemini's customer or cryptocurrency enthusiast.

I will take it into account as well since it will have considerable benefits to my holding, if I'm a US resident. But since I'm not, I only see it as their alibi to get more votes coz, when you think of it, it will take time and many votes from the Representatives to the Senate before a bill can be approved to become a law.

I agree. It's all basically a show at this point, and the mind game for the people.
Crypto shouldn't become a reason to vote on someone, in my opinion.

It can be said that it is an alibi from politicians to get votes from crypto lovers, especially Trump who always says he will support bitcoin and crypto is an alibi. but an alibi that is beneficial for crypto lovers should be supported because it is for the good of crypto in the future. so if I were a US citizen I would also support crypto even though there will be many processes of ratifying laws after the US presidential election.

Yes, i may be bias for this but that's how i will do for bitcoin's sake (lol). I'm sure bitcoin peeps in the US will do the same. I saw a survey related on how bitcoin supported candidate can change these people's votes from a thread either here or in bitcointalk, it's a good read.

He may be doing well, but I don't think that politics should be a thing that dictates how crypto does.
We shouldn't take Trump as a card that would change the landscape.
He is a politician and would use every opportunity he has accordingly, not for the crypto space in itself.

US election is one of the best important issue in this moment. We also know that trump and haris is also support for bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Few years ago donald trump also support for bitcoin, because we know that trump also including in cryptocurrency. So we can see that haris and trump both is also support in cryptocurrency. So when they will be won in election, i believe when they will be won in election of US, then it will be best opportunity for cryptocurrency.

LOL, in bitcoin lovers will do the same for our bitcoin to support candidates who support bitcoin, this is for the progress of crypto. if the good of our country and citizens do not know :D
Although the worst possibility can happen, the winner is the one who does not support crypto but don't worry, bitcoin has experienced difficult times in the past and has survived until now.

I don't think it should be that way, as politicians are not to be trusted, realistically.
But it's an interesting example of crypto leaning towards a new niche and being used in serious arguments over the real matters of a country.

Donald Trump is a step ahead; he knows that Cryptocurrency will have an impact on the votes so their team used this issue to get ahead of the race against Biden who withdrew his candidacy.
Kamala Harris should step up and change direction and not follow Biden's policy against Bitcoin. I hope it will soon have an effect in our country, where the cryptocurrency community here in our country's vote will have an impact on the candidate's stance.
-
So basically what this is saying is that the only issue about cryptocurrency that most people care about, at least in the united states, is whether people own it or not?
That is a pretty dim-witted topic to talk about in a debate. It has literally no relevance to whether or not somebody is going to get elected. It's like if the issue was about cars and people were divided based on whether or not a particular candidate drives a sports car.
I was hoping that the issues would be more deeper than that.

Yes, I see Donald Trump as a forward-thinking person and understands that crypto currency will dominate in the future, that's why he supports crypto to get votes from crypto lovers. because currently crypto is getting more popular and we will likely see a bright future for crypto.
I also hope that Kamala Harris also has the same thoughts, so that US citizens are not confused in choosing and whoever will become president, hopefully both will support bitcoin and crypto.
