I am also agree with your comment, because we believe that crypto currency is one of the best digital assets in cryptocurrency world. Because we know that this currency sell or buy in online, which is involved in our digital market. We also saw that all transaction, which is complete by online. So i believe that cryptocurrency is a strong digital assets in cryptocurrency market, which we also invest in online.

Crypto currency being a digital asset isn't something you have to believe it is because the fact remains that it already is. Your statement is similar to saying something like "I believe bitcoin is a crypto currency" which doesn't really seem logical since it already is. The idea of digital is all about computers and digital suggests the use of numbers. And as most programmers would agree with me, the raw language that computers understand is number "digits".
Crypto currencies can be referred to as digital assets simply because everything concerning them are computer related and thus numbers are the raw language. The whole block chain is a chain link of data which obviously are digitally stored.

Should we then call all cryptocurrencies assets when not all of them are truly worth being considered assets?. Of course, I definitely agree that they are all digital, but not all of them are assets. For Bitcoin and few others, we can definitely call them a digital asset in the sense that they are made up of bunch of 1's and 0's just as you've said, and asset in the sense that we can hold onto them because they are valuable and have good use. Digital asset is an ideal phrase for few, so I agree with you. Though the OP is right from the profitablity part he made mention of, but it still depends if he is investing in a digital asset or something else.

Yes, crypto currency is digital asset cause it's not physically present.
And what do you mean you can earn by sitting? It doesn't work that way buddy, you need to work as you do to make revenue and you can take Bitcoin as a form of payment for your salary or fee otherwise you can buy it from exchanges with your fiat money.
It's not available for free.

Can I know what the goal behind of your this topic is? Here you neither wanted to know anything nor shared a good thing that you said we all know that and it's a very basic thing.
Anything that exists virtually is a digital asset. And as such crypto currency must be digital. Even we can call it digital currency but we cannot call all digital currencies cryptocurrency. Because the cryptocurrency system is based on blockchain.
Anyway my suggestion to you is to open a good topic from now on. Otherwise, your negative car hit will increase and you will not get any benefit by just ranking up with this account.

Just a quick google search about digital asset and this will be the one that comes out:
Digital assets refer to anything that exists in a digital format and includes rights to use them. Examples range from media files to cryptocurrencies.
It's already stated there that cryptocurrencies are also an example of a digital asset. As for the earning aspect, yes it's possible only if you know how to use it properly. There are many in the past that lost money already by investing into cryptocurrency for various reasons. Right now, it's very easy to buy cryptocurrency already because of the amount of exchanges that's accepting Bitcoin. The only problem right now is how to store and secure it properly.

I disagree with you that all cryptocurrency are asset because they are digital currency. Only bitcoin is worth to be called an asset amongst altcoins because it is decentralized and ha s great potentials of increasing value in future. An asset is what increases in value overtime but a lot of altcoins will not survive in future.

You are actually contradicting your own assumptions. Read the context of my write up well and you can boldly notice that there is no statement like ""all cryptocurrencies are assets"". Anyways what are you reasons ? If you are simply saying it because of the likes of meme coins and tokens which is understandable , you are actually wrong. What is your definition of an asset? Virtual all cryptocurrencies can be exchanged for fiat and hence can be bought so they can be referred to as assets simply because they are not liabilities that require constant maintenance.
The fact is meme coins too are assets since they can store value even for the slightest moment however they are not the type of assets that you would want to HODL on to.

Maybe the phrase "Crypto currencies" and "All Crypto Currencies" are not just the same. Don't really know!.

There is no point mentioning meme coin because it's clearly a cryptocurrency, or is it not?.

Not sure if every definition agrees with this or what do you think?.
An asset is a resource with economic value that an individual, a company, or a country owns or controls with the expectation that it will provide a future benefit

My thesis so far is that the grammar usage may be the cause of this discussion. "Crypto currencies" in comparison to "all crypto currencies " is obviously a vague statement in the sense that it may be refering to all crypto or just a group of crypto currencies. I checked out the link you posted here and I believe it's giving a similar definition as what I've said here. Here is the definition from the link you shared;
An asset is a resource with economic value that an individual, a company, or a country owns or controls with the expectation that it will provide a future benefit.
Now in context of this discussion we are referring more to an individual. The definition here suggests that an asset should have future benefit, and if you agree with me a meme coin does have benefits to their developers and people who profit off it. The only problem is you can't hodl them for long term.
If you say meme coins and tokens aren't digital assets then the are digital ______?

I already quoted the definition in my last reply, and I even underlined the phrase "future benefits", as it contradicts with the phrase "slightest moment" you mentioned earlier. I get it, grammatical expression seems to be the little problem here, or maybe it's a generalization problem. But it's nothing to debate about.

Let's assume you are right and I'm wrong. But I still don't see how meme coins are assets when their future benefits are highly speculative. If there is no certainty that I will benefit from a meme coin project, then why should I bother counting it as an asset.
Like I said in my last reply
There is no point mentioning meme coin because it's clearly a cryptocurrency, or is it not?.
Let's just use the word cryptocurrency/currencies, and stick to all what have been said. But Incase you wonder what I call them, maybe it's a digital speculative investment.

Well, you basically answer your basic question that any of us can answer, any internet products, services and stuff is called digital. So yeah, can we lock the thread now?

A digital asset built on a network dotted among numerous computers is called a cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrencies are able to survive without being governed by governments or other central authority because of their decentralized structure.

Unlike the fiat money which can be seen, felt and physically transported, cryptocurrency is in the form of a digital and we can't see it except its name and maybe its value when we view it on our wallet. Obviously, this is one of the basic characteristic of cryptocurrency and one that define it in comparison to the usual money or assets we have. And with the coming of cryptocurrency including the blockchain which is its backbone, we are opening a new era where people can sort of get away from the total control of the government and the traditional financial platforms. Hopefully, people can realize the many immense benefits of hodling digital assets especially the top 10 in CMC. Cryptocurrency is the future and we should be a big part of it...

Cryptocurrency, in my opinion is a digital assets just like the fiats currencies are physical assets. Cryptocurrency and fiat currency serve the same purpose economically, in term of their daily uses. Fiats can be a stored of value, even crypto can also be a stored value, and has the capacity to appreciate in value over times.
Again, Fiats currency stored over time has the possibility to depreciate and can loss value due to inflation but I think cryptocurrency has a better store of value and can be a hedge against inflation.

I don't know what your purpose is.
It is actually a very very basic question, everyone must understand it very well.
You even have answered your question quite clearly. So, I don't see the reason to ask other forum members, you understand it well.
If someone is confusing with the question, he even can find out the answer easily through googling. Well, it is not a very big deal, I believe each of us to have the ability finding out the answer ourselves.
Anyway, your question is similar like someone ask "Is gold physical asset?" ;)
I think everything is clear, thread should be closed.
