It is well known that all bookies, in theory, encourage responsible gambling with their famous slogan "Bet Responsibly," but the nature of their adverts does not. In all of their advertisements, no gambler loses. Gamblers always win. Gamblers are constantly made to believe that gambling can lead to easy riches. These adverts has really motivated so many people to gamble.
In my opinion, saying that gamblers should bet responsibly without showing how they can bet responsibly, but instead showing the possibility of making money through gambling, has the effect of motivating gamblers to gamble uncontrollably. This is equivalent to telling someone to clean his nose and then pointing your forehead; some people will undoubtedly follow your example by cleaning their forehead instead of cleaning their nose as instructed.
So, do you think bookies' adverts contribute to the rate of gambling addiction?
-
The point in advertising is to make people engage into what they promote which is to sign up to these bookies and gamble.
For us who have been gambling already, it only need a little push for the adverts and you will freelly sign up already after all you want it especially if there is free money involve.

Advertisements certainly help bookies attract more customers to their platforms. I agree that these ads can contribute to the rising rate of gambling addiction if gamblers don’t approach gambling with caution. Without proper management, this can lead to serious consequences.

The bookies did not force you into believing anything but rather you believe what you wanted to believe based on your perception. Bookies have a responsibility to market their products and you do not expect them to market their products showing that people lose from it and can get depressed . As a smart individual you should know that gambling has two sides which is the side where you can win, and the side where you can also lose, so you should not totally blames the bookies, people who are all about their business for helping you get addicted.
If you get addicted, you got addicted because of your personal irresponsibility, do not blame the bookies because there are people who play on the same platform, and are still responsible gamblers.

No Gambling platform shows the loser scenario in their ads. they always highlights the winning side more in advertisements. And because of these ads they attract gamblers to their gambling platform, many of gamblers think that it is easier to become a big man than gambling. From here he can definitely make a profit and he starts gambling and it later becomes an addiction. And they start losing their money. Bookies advertise only the possibility of making money, Although the ad carries the slogan "Bet Responsible", they display their advertisements in such a way that a gambler is easily addicted to them.
-
The primary goal of these adverts is to onboard more customers on to the gambling platforms, if people don't get encouraged to play then the marketing team has failed to do their job!!
So to answer the question if Bookies adverts encourage gambling, yes but on the addiction part I think that's on the player because as an adult over the age of 18..you are expected to make sound decisions relating to gambling..

i am pretty sure it is just some policy that they need to comply to like how cigarettes packaging display warnings and alcohol drinks put drink responsibly in their tv commercials these companies know that their products and services can lead to unhealthy behavior if consumed improperly but it is not exactly their responsibility to prevent this from happening we are our own selves and it is our responsibility to make sure that we do not end up with addiction
So, do you think bookies' advertis contribute to the rate of gambling addiction?
obviously
they are the one directly supplying gambling opportunities to people if anything it is even more favorable to them if people had gambling addiction like i said they are here to make money and a warning is enough because it is not their responsibility to keep all of us in check

In my opinion, bookies' advertisements do not promote gambling addiction. Bookies are not charitable organizations; they want to make a profit. Profit comes from customers, and their advertisements are designed to attract customers, which is why most advertisements include a welcome bonus. This is done solely to attract customers and not to promote addiction. Furthermore, only adults are permitted to gamble, as it is believed that an adult should understand what it means to make decisions and be held accountable for those decisions.
Where a gambler decides to gamble without limits, that gambler should bear all of the blame because there are so many other gamblers who gamble within limits, and if bookies' advertisements always portray negative messages in the minds of gamblers, I do not believe there will ever be a responsible gambler because every gambler has come across gambling advertisements in some form or another.

In these commercials they influencers are been used to get the attention of the audience and it's not like they even gamble. There are people that started playing casino games because they saw how easy it is on an advert but after playing they realised that it wasn't really how they portray it to be. My colleague at work started playing aviator games because he saw the winnings of users on adverts, after playing for a few months and not getting any profit from it he did his best to deceist from it before it becomes a chronic addiction. It's your choice to get influenced by whatever you see on adverts, 90 percent of what they show are just marketing strategies or should I just call it lies.

Yeah, and they do a great job if many people engage from their advertisement even with their slogan bet responsibly but they don't provide guidance on how to bet responsibly.

You drink Coke or other beverages? Have you ever seen Coca-Cola mention about the negative effects of their soda? You would not because that's the nature of marketing. Just face the reality that they show the good side like the salesman they are with maybe a little caveat at the end. No company, in their right mind, would spend millions/billions in ads just to say how bad their product could be or tell you how not to give them more profits.
-
The advertisement carried out by the bookies is a marketing for them, and in the advertisement it will not say that gamblers will lose, they will still say “gamblers always win with our site” so it will not be surprising that it is a sweetener to lure many people to become curious and want to play gambling.
Yeah maybe, this will be a higher level of addiction.
That gambling games can also start from curiosity that advertisements appear about gambling so that someone tries to end up becoming addicted.
-
Advertisements has two sides for gamblers perspective whether it is to attract potential players for fun or victims of addiction. This has similarity to video games where you are entised with advertisements until the time you are downloading the app then play and get addicted same thing as bookies advert and any other gambling games.

Betting responsibly doesn’t automatically mean that the gambler won’t be able to win, all companies out there whether gambling or not they’ll always show to the public what will make them patronize them.
You don’t expect a gambling company to go and use their own money to start creating ads that captures both the winning part and the addiction part - if it was an anti-addiction campaign then it would have been there but since we’re talking about someone’s business then don’t expect them to ruin it just to please some few people.

anything that promotes casinos can make someone take a look at the ad. especially when a logo is cute and cuddly where children will be lured to it. there have been discussions about this where there are casinos with mascots so attractive to kids.
i'm sure any adverts goal is to always make their services visible to anyone whether it be on TV or on websites. even the billboards of casinos that asks "feeling lucky" sometimes makes me say yes.

Only a gambler with desperate determination accepts what influencer says and because they showed screenshot of winning doesn't mean it was that easy for them. Here is a quick tip, most of this influencer gamblers also work as agent to bring customers to a particular casino so they can give them free bonus for playing but they don't say this to their audience.
If you don't know how to gamble and someone is trying to make it looks so cheap and easy, you should make an inquiry before trying to follow them but just as I said, desperation is what make some people to gamble because they understand the system but yet the want to make money from gambling and they lose their savings.

So, do you think bookies' adverts contribute to the rate of gambling addiction?
yes to me bookies contribute to the rate of gambling additions, because Ads by bookmarks more certainly have a big influence on the development of gambling addiction. These advertisement meant to be alluring; the frequently highlight the fun and excitement of betting why emphasizing the possibility of financial gain, which many pique the interest of those who are more vulnerable. The constant visibility of these advertisement, particularly in sports broadcasting and on social media, normalize gambling as a routine activity. Making it seem harmless and even acceptable socially.
One of the primary ways that bookies advert contribute to gambling addition is true there emotional appeal. This advert often emphasize on how easy it is to place bets and
win, downplaying the risk involved. For individual who are prone to addictive behavior, all those experiencing financial or personal stress, this message can be particularly dangerous to them. The may see gambling as an easy way to escape problems or improve their situation, which can lead them to repeated betting despite losses, eventually spiraling into addiction. Although this is my opinion on this matter.

Gambling to solve financial problems is a common mistake among gamblers. Why would a gambler throw away money when they are in financial trouble? Whether we like it or not, any money spent on gambling should be considered lost.
An experienced gambler does not rely on gambling to solve problems because it creates more problems than it resolves. Financial problems are best solved through certain means, such as borrowing or saving, rather than uncertain ones, such as gambling.
Consider having a problem worth $2000 and then having $500. It is preferable to borrow $1500 to solve the problem rather than using the $500 to gamble because the chances of winning in gambling are always slim, implying that such gamblers are more likely to lose the $500. So, in my opinion, a gambler should not turn to gambling to solve financial problems.

So, do you think bookies' adverts contribute to the rate of gambling addiction?
My answers remains 'NO" why because gambling site doesn't in any day or ways asked you to come gamble, and repeat you are not in a day asked to stake with whatever amount you are asked to staked with because it's your core duty to look and choose the kind of bet you have to place and the kind of amount to be used to gamble. I can also sight an instances where if you are hungry no one would tell you to go eat something and even if you went to eat none will as well asked you to stop that you are okay and you don't need to eat anymore, what happened is that lot of gambler doesn't know their limits and strengths.

It is natural that bookies will always advertise positively. Now you don't gamble by believing the bookies' advertisements. In order to gamble one must utilize one's own experience and also one must be experienced enough to gamble. It is entirely your fault that you will gamble by watching gambling ads and become addicted to gambling by watching ads. Always gamble using your conscience and experience. I will not blame the bookies for the fact that a man can become an asset in many ways.

So, do you think bookies' adverts contribute to the rate of gambling addiction?
It's just a reminder from them to bet responsibly, but it doesn't mean that they can control your betting style whether you become a addict or just casual gambler. Obviously though when there is bookies around us, we might be tempted to bet whether online or offline.
And that's where we should control ourselves, we have heard this numerous times already, that we need to have that self control so that we won't be falling for that trick from this casinos. So if you have that, then good, just enjoy and play and have some fun, simply as that.
