Hey I wanted to talk about my journey to finding crypto arbitrage and how incredibly prevalent it still is.
I made around 15k in sports arbitrage, but it wasn't a very scalable version to truly make good money, so I decided to look elsewhere as I was essentially banned from every bookmaker. I looked into many forms of statistical analysis on the stock markets, backtested the strategies and I could not convince myself I had just not overfitted my data and the that the gains would carry onto the future.
However, being a person who has always in one way or another dealt with arbitrage I knew the concept really well and I wondered if the crypto markets are as oiled of a machine as the stock markets are, turns out, they are not.
I set up servers in Germany for the major European exchanges, Tokyo for asian exchanges and Seychelles for the rest, I lowered my latency to get market data to as low as I could and added around 15 exchanges and 100 pairs, what ensued was a slurry of insane arbitrage. At that point I was still dubious if that meant anything, because we have to account for fees, but that part dissipated as quick as it came as I noticed your trading volume significantly lowers your fees as well as the % of arbitrage I was finding was insane.
I ran my arbitrage bot for 2 years and I have never made as much money in my life as I did then. I then went on the journey to create a service to sell the arbitrage, because I can't maintain all 15 exchanges, and lowered my own trading down to Kraken, Binance and BTSE. I have kept all of my servers and I wanted to do something with them, because crypto arbitrage is still rampant, so I decided to make a website for people who want to use it. All of my connections are incredibly low latency and it aggregates all the data from my servers and sends it with minimal latency.
I hope that I can go the route of 3commas one day and provide trading bots to people to take advantage of this, but I am a one man team and I prefer it that way, so it might take a while. I don't want to risk too much capital on a website as I am inherently not a customer facing person. However, I think so many people would benefit from this and I plan to setup high overview guides on how to set up bots for people, probably with pseudocode because of liability reasons, but I truly think there are so many people on here who have no idea how effective crypto arbitrage still is.
