Isn't it time to remove this warning?
I think there is already too much information and different warnings in the first page... and this warning about password is like "babysitting" the users. Password is their responsibility
-
ok, will keep it for newly teleported

Good idea. I would also want to ask @admin what's the meaning of the "97 Redirects" there, what's the meaning of that number. I know that the thread was made as a board (board=505), then redirected to the thread (topic=316088), but I can't get the idea of the number 97

There's a special reason admin emphasised that users password should be different from what they have in the other forum. It is more than the general rule of not re-using password.
Remember, the username in the two forums are same due to teleporting, it means that if admin by chance get to know your password in this forum, they could possibly take over your account in the other forum if you use same password. So, to avoid this thought, there's a need for such warning.

I understand the reasons, but they are very basic people should know this by now. There is too much info in main page (which is already better now) ..

Theoretically, passwords are encrypted and not even admin can see them

This warning will be useful before creating an account, but after creating an account, what happened has happened and if it was done using the same password, you must change both passwords here and in the BTT forum.
In short, the most appropriate place for such a warning is here -----> https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=XXXXXXX&action=register (https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=XXXXXXX&action=register)
Specifically adding "don't use your FACEBOOK/BITCOINTALK password" to this section:
You also agree to NEVER use another person's account for any reason. We also HIGHLY recommend you use a complex and unique password for your account, to prevent account theft.
off-topic, it seems that it is forbidden to use someone else's account, I see some accounts claiming that the account belongs to a family member, so does the ban apply here?

there is no way to verify if it is a family account or not
that's why once you have a senior rank, a user is allowed to 2 more accounts that will be labelled as duplicates/ clones
otherwise if caught, it will be labelled multi-account

Certainly the best idea so far.
This message could also be displayed when the user changes his password.
Another good idea would be to that warning to the news loop ;)

all great ideas, but i am not really responsible for the user account security, i am trying my best to remind the user of it's importance, but then it's the user responsibility, we are all big boys.

True, they are very basic. But on the internet there to many stupid people and a few wise people.
I agree that there's too many info on the main page already.
